I have the women’s Alaskan Buffelo in green. They do look good. Bought as a Christmas gift in dec 2025. Writing this in March 2026
But, web site said these shoes run small ,buy a size bigger. I did. They feel 2 sizes bigger. I’m a UK 5 - 38, bought 40 as my fat feet suggested that size. I wish I had just bought my usual size. But I had worn them outside thinking that as they were my first barefoot, I should give them a proper trial. THEY ARE TOO BIG. The other issue is the zip. It curves towards the lacing and is very hard to pull around. I’ve tried leaving zip up, then unlacing, but that is a proper pfaff.
The soles are really grippy.
Shoes most decidedly NOT waterproof. In a boggy area the water flooded into the suede band joining the sole to body.
They are lovely, very snug inside and I would be happy if they fitted and the zip didn’t fight with me to pull up.

I've always been looking for shoes like these — perfect for training and for work (I'm a trainer and have a Master's in physiotherapy). The Explorer model is a shoe that every movement specialist will appreciate, and not just them. I recommend it to anyone who wants their feet to work more throughout the day!

I am not usually one to enthuse about shoes, but I absolutely loved these from the moment the postman handed them to me - they felt so light. They are flexible and well made and look amazing. They were incredibly comfortable from day one. I’ve had no issues whatsoever with them. The vegan logo is a very nice touch. They also arrived within a couple of days of ordering. The size is just right (I drew round my foot wearing a sock to achieve this and rounded up to the nearest size). Perfect.

I hate to write this review as I really wanted to love these boots. The build quality is abysmal for a $175 USD boot. The glue to the sole came apart almost immediately, I am still have to glue to sole back to the shoe almost on a monthly basis. I work from home and DO NOT put wear and tear on these boots... The sole of the shoe got blown through in less than 30 days and was forced to buy a new sole which was $28 USD now making this boot $200 USD. Candidly, the customer service team told me I should not have glued the boot together and instead sent it back for their team to "review" it and see if I was a candidate for a new boot. I do not like the idea I have to send my boots back to the factory in Poland from the US just to have them look at it and say Yes or No to new boots, which is why I am giving it two stars instead of one. The customer service is good but the boot quality is just terrible for the price point. I strongly encourage people to look somewhere else if you are looking to spend upwards of $200usd on a pair of boots.

I've been looking for a pair of winter boots that are easy to put on and off (i.e. with zips as well as laces), are warm and have barefoot soles. After much searching and weighing up of various options I came across Magical Shoes online and ordered a pair. I'm absolutely delighted with the boots, which appear to be well made with quality materials, strongly stitched and very well designed. The barefoot sole is completely flat and enables me to feel the ground beneath my feet, but it has proper treads for winter snow and ice and my feet are beautifully warm in them despite the low temperature. The boots look good and, so far, have been water resistant (I've not tested them to their limits in deep puddles or anything). All in all I am a very happy customer and am already planning to buy another pair for the summer. Thank you Magical Shoes!
