Worst boots and worst customer…

Worst boots and worst customer experience in 40 years of hiking.
My first pair of Meindl Respond Mid II GTX boots leaked immediately, and were replaced under warranty. The replacement pair also leaked almost immediately and the stitching on the toecaps disintegrated after minimal use. I was on a 6 week hike across Türkiye so could not replace them, I ended up walking for several days with totally wet feet.
Meindl’s response ? It’s all my fault as I didn’t spray them regularly enough with their spray - and noting that that they never define “regularly “. Absolute cop-out to avoid refunding me for the worst boots I ever bought.
Avoid at all costs.
