Abstract
Disclosed are a connection system, method and apparatus for connecting electrical devices or components to a grid or base unit of a mountable electrical switch or outlet system. The system provides for the electrical devices to be connected to the grid or base unit by way of a sliding connector which in use, engages with a non-deflectable retaining surface of the electrical device or component. The retaining surface can be provided by a recess or a protrusion. The system provides for faster and more convenient connection and disconnection of electrical devices. Also disclosed are various embodiments of sliding connectors which can connect or disconnect multiple devices or components with a single sliding action by the user.
