Definitions
- the present invention relates to connectors such as carabiners and rings that are used to connect items or to connect separate items or parts to each other.
- a connector for connecting separate items or parts to each other which includes a base portion in which a storage space and a hook portion are formed, and an opening/closing body that is connected to the base portion via a spring portion (see Patent Document 1).
- a shaft hole is formed in the base portion, and a shaft portion that is supported by the shaft hole is formed at the base end of the opening/closing body.
- the base end of the opening/closing body has an axle that is simply supported in an axle hole in the base, making it difficult to improve strength in the direction of removing the opening/closing body from the connector or in the twisting direction. Furthermore, because the base end of the opening/closing body has an axle that is supported in an axle hole in the base, the opening/closing body rotates around that point, so the opening/closing body is opened and closed using only the elastic force of part of the spring, and the load is concentrated on only part of the spring, making it difficult to improve the strength of the connector from this perspective as well.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a connector that can improve strength.
- a connector according to one aspect of the present invention is a connector integrally comprising: a main body portion that forms a storage space through which a connected object is passed and that partitions an opening communicating with the storage space at one end and the other end; an opening/closing portion that opens and closes the opening; and an elastically deformable portion that connects the main body portion and the opening/closing portion so that the opening/closing portion can be opened and closed.
- the opening/closing portion has a first hooked portion that is hooked in the closing direction to one end of the main body portion at an opening closing position that closes the opening and that is released when the opening portion moves in the opening direction; and an insertion connecting portion into which the other end of the main body portion is inserted so as to allow the opening/closing portion to move open and closed.
- the insertion connecting portion is formed with a second hooked portion that is hooked in the closing direction to the other end of the main body portion at the opening closing position and that is released when the opening portion moves in the opening direction.
- the main body is formed in a hook shape to define the opening
- a first hooking portion may be formed at one end of the main body portion, which releasably engages with the first hooked portion in the closing direction
- a second hooking portion may be formed at the other end of the main body portion, which releasably engages with the second hooked portion in the closing direction.
- the main body portion has an extension portion extending from the connection position with the elastic deformation portion toward the opening side, the elastic deformation portion extends along the extension portion outside the extension portion, and the other end portion of the main body portion may be formed by the tip portion of the extension portion.
- the plug-in connection portion has an arrangement hole portion that opens on the inside, that is, on the storage space side, and in which the other end portion of the main body portion is arranged to allow the opening and closing movement of the opening and closing portion, and the second hooked portion may be arranged in the arrangement hole portion.
- the arrangement hole portion is formed as a through hole that penetrates from the inside, which is the storage space side, to the outside, which is the opposite side, and into which the other end of the main body portion is inserted to allow opening and closing movement of the opening/closing portion, and the second hooking portion may be formed on the inner wall that forms the through hole so as to be hooked onto the other end of the main body portion in the opening closed position.
- the other end of the main body may have a locking protrusion formed thereon that protrudes inward toward the storage space, and the second latched portion may have a locking protrusion formed thereon that protrudes outward, opposite the inward side, and that is locked to the locking protrusion when the opening is closed.
- the insertion coupling portion may have an abutting portion that abuts against the outer surface of the main body portion when the insertion coupling portion is in an opening open position where the opening is opened.
- a recess may be formed on the outer surface of the main body with which the contact portion comes into contact, the recess being recessed so as to deviate from the movement trajectory of the contact portion.
- the other end of the main body may be formed with a step that abuts against the insertion side portion of the opening/closing part of the opening/closing part when the opening is in an opening open position where the opening is opened.
- the present invention provides a connector that can improve strength.
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the connector according to the embodiment.
- FIG. 10 is a front view showing a closed state of the connector according to the embodiment;
- FIG. 3 is a side view of the connector shown in FIG. 2 .
- FIG. 4 is a vertical cross-sectional view showing a closed state of the connector according to the embodiment.
- FIG. 4 is a vertical cross-sectional view showing the connector according to the embodiment in an open state.
- the connector 1 is configured as a round, resin-made carabiner that can be connected to an article or can connect separate articles or parts to each other.
- the connector 1 includes a main body 2 that defines a storage space 10 through which a string or other part of an article (not shown) is passed and that defines an opening 11 that communicates with the storage space 10 at one end 21 and the other end 22; an opening/closing section 3 that opens and closes the opening 11; and an elastically deformable section 4 that connects the main body 2 and the opening/closing section 3 so that the opening/closing section 3 can be moved between an opening-closing position P1 (see FIG. 4) that closes the opening 11 and an opening-opening position P2 (see FIG. 5) that opens the opening 11 by its opening/closing movement.
- the opening closing position P1 is a position where the opening/closing portion 3 is along the circumferential direction of the connecting device 1
- the opening opening position P2 is a position where the opening/closing portion 3 is further inside the storage space 10 than the opening closing position P1.
- the left-right direction of the connector 1 is referred to as the X-axis direction
- the front-rear direction (width direction) of the connector 1 as the Y-axis direction
- the up-down direction of the connector 1 as the Z-axis direction.
- the X, Y, and Z-axis directions are perpendicular to one another.
- the opening and closing direction is referred to as the A-axis direction, the opening direction as the A1-axis direction, and the closing direction as the A2-axis direction.
- the opposing direction between the tip 31 of the opening/closing part 3 and one end 21 of the main body part 2 in the closed state is referred to as the B-axis direction (also the circumferential direction of the connector 1 in this embodiment). Note that the above directions are set for convenience in the description of this embodiment, and the connector 1 in actual use will be oriented in each of these directions as appropriate.
- the main body 2 is bent in a hook shape, or in this embodiment, a C-shape, so that a connected object can be hung on it, and its inner peripheral surface defines the storage space 10.
- the position on one side of the arc center of the main body 2 in the X-axis direction is the back side of the storage space 10
- the position on the other side of the arc center of the main body 2 in the X-axis direction is the front side.
- An opening 11 is located at the position on the other side in the X-axis direction.
- the main body 2 also has an extension 23 that extends circumferentially from the connection position with the elastically deforming portion 4 toward the opening 11, and the other end 22 is formed by the tip of the extension 23.
- the dimension of the extension 23 in the radial direction of the connector 1 is greater than the dimension of the elastically deforming portion 4 in the radial direction and smaller than the dimension of the portion of the main body 2 excluding the extension 23 in the radial direction.
- a first hooking portion 211 is formed on one end portion 21, which releasably engages with a first hooked portion 311 (described later) of the opening/closing unit 3 in the A2 direction.
- the width dimension of the first hooking portion 211 in the Y-axis direction is smaller than the portion continuous with the first hooking portion 211.
- the first hooking portion 211 has an inner surface 211A that abuts against the first hooked portion 311 in the A2 direction, and also has a hook-shaped engaging portion 213 at its tip.
- the engaging portion 213 releasably engages with a hook-shaped engaging portion 313 (described later) of the opening/closing unit 3.
- the other end 22 is formed with a second hooking portion 221 that releasably engages with a second hooked portion 323 (described later) of the opening/closing unit 3 in the A2 direction.
- the width dimension of the second hooking portion 221 in the Y-axis direction is smaller than that of the portion continuous with the second hooking portion 221.
- the second hooking portion 221 is shaped like a hook, as shown in Figures 1 and 4, and a step 222 is formed protruding in the Y-axis direction at the portion continuous with the base end of the second hooking portion 221 (the middle portion in the longitudinal direction of the extension portion 23), as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
- the dimension of the extension portion 23 in the Y-axis direction is larger on the base end side than the position of the step 222 and smaller on the tip end side than the position of the step 222.
- This step 222 is positioned so as to abut the insertion side portion of the opening/closing unit 3 of the plug-in connecting portion 321 (described later) at the opening open position P2.
- the tip of the second hooking portion 221 is formed with a locking protrusion 223 that protrudes inward, toward the storage space 10, and a protrusion 224 that protrudes outward, on the opposite side from the inward side.
- the outer surface 221A of the second hooking portion 221, adjacent to the protrusion 224, is formed with a recess 221B that is recessed inward so as to deviate from the movement trajectory of the abutting portion 324 (described below).
- a recess 221B By forming the recess 221B in this manner, when the opening/closing portion 3 moves to open in the A1 direction, the position where the abutting portion 324 abuts against the outer surface 221A can be positioned deeper toward the storage space 10, thereby expanding the opening/closing movement range of the opening/closing portion 3.
- the opening/closing part 3 is formed in an arc shape, and when positioned in the opening-closing position P1, it cooperates with the main body part 2 to form the annular connector 1.
- the tip part 31 of the opening/closing part 3 is positioned opposite one end part 21 of the main body part 2 in direction B, and the base part 32 of the opening/closing part 3 is connected to the elastic deformation part 4 at a portion closer to the outer periphery.
- the tip portion 31 has a first latched portion 311 that is latched in the A2 direction to one end 21 of the main body portion 2 at the opening closing position P1 and that is released from the latched state when moved in the A1 direction (opening movement).
- the first hooked portion 311 has an abutting plate portion 312 formed on a portion closer to the inner periphery (inner side) of the tip portion 31 and capable of abutting against the inner surface 211A of the first hooking portion 211 at the opening closing position P1, and a hook-shaped engaging portion 313 continuous with the tip of the abutting plate portion 312.
- the outer surface of the abutting plate portion 312 abuts against the inner surface 211A, and this abutment causes the first hooked portion 311 to be engaged with the first hooking portion 211 in the A2 direction.
- the engaging portion 313 releasably engages with the engaging portion 213 of the first hooking portion 211 at the opening closing position P1, and this engagement stabilizes the closed state in which the opening 11 is closed.
- the first hooking portion 311 has a pair of side plate portions 314 that are continuous with the abutment plate portion 312, and the abutment plate portion 312 and the pair of side plate portions 314 form a groove portion 315 in which the first hooking portion 211 is positioned so that it can be removed.
- the base end 32 has an insertion connection portion 321 into which the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted to allow the opening/closing portion 3 to move open and close in the A direction.
- the insertion coupling portion 321 has an arrangement hole 320 that opens on the inside, that is, the storage space 10 side, and in which the other end 22 of the main body portion 2 is arranged to allow the opening/closing movement of the opening/closing portion 3.
- a second latched portion 323 is arranged in the arrangement hole 320.
- the arrangement hole 320 is formed as a through hole 322 that penetrates from the inside, that is, the storage space 10 side, to the outside, that is the opposite side, and a second latched portion 323 is formed in a portion of the through hole 322 near the inner periphery of the connector 1, protruding from an inner wall 322A that forms the through hole 322 so as to be latched onto the other end 22 of the main body portion 2 in the opening closing position P1, and a latched protrusion 323A that protrudes from the inside, that is, the storage space 10 side, to the outside, that is the opposite side, is formed at the tip of the second latched portion 323.
- the portion of the inner wall 322A of the insertion coupling portion 321 where the second hooking portion 221 is located between the second hooked portion 323 and the second hook portion 324 serves as an abutting portion 324 that abuts against the outer surface 221A of the second hooking portion 221 at the opening-open position P2.
- the abutting portion 324 abuts against the outer surface 221A of the coupler 1, thereby restricting the opening-closing portion 3 from moving in the A1 direction beyond the opening-open position P2.
- the distance between the second hooking portion 221 and the abutting portion 324 is wide enough to form a gap 325 between the second hooking portion 221 and the abutting portion 324.
- the formation of the gap 325 allows the opening-closing portion 3 to swing by the amount of the gap 325. This allows the opening-closing portion 3 to move smoothly in the A direction.
- This second hooked portion 323 is hooked in the A2 direction relative to the second hooking portion 221 by the hooked protrusion 323A being engaged with the locking protrusion 223 at the opening closing position P1, and this hooked state is released when moved in the A1 direction (opening movement).
- the elastically deforming portion 4 is molded integrally with the main body portion 2 and has a generally J-shaped configuration with an upright portion 41 that protrudes outward from the main body portion 2 (outward in the radial direction of the connector 1) away from the storage space 10, and a continuous portion 42 that bends in a curved shape and extends from the tip of the upright portion 41 toward the opening/closing portion 3, and is located on the other side in the X-axis direction.
- the elastically deforming portion 4 is also located a certain distance away from the extension portion 23, ensuring space for elastic deformation of the elastically deforming portion 4.
- This elastically deforming portion 4 constantly biases the opening/closing portion 3 in the A2 direction even when the opening is in the closed position P1, and its elastic deformation allows the opening/closing portion 3 to swing slightly in the B direction.
- the initial state of the connector 1 described above is shown in Fig. 1.
- the opening/closing portion 3 is disposed outside the opening 11, and the elastically deforming portion 4 is formed to have a smaller curvature than the main body portion 2.
- the connector 1 shown in Fig. 1 is assembled by inserting the second hooking portion 221 into the through-hole 322 and positioning the first hooked portion 311 closer to the accommodation space 10 than the first hooking portion 211.
- Figs. 2 to 4 show the connector 1 in a closed state in the assembled state, with the opening/closing portion 3 positioned at the opening closing position P1.
- the opening 11 in the connector 1 is opened and closed as follows. (Opening operation) When the opening-closing unit 3 is positioned at the opening closing position P1 and in a closed state (fully closed state), the hook-shaped engaging units 213, 313 are disengaged from the connector 1. Specifically, the hook-shaped engaging units 213, 313 are disengaged by slightly bending the main body 2 toward the accommodation space 10 or by moving the opening-closing unit 3, which is held by the elastic deformation unit 4 so that it can swing slightly in direction B, closer to one end 21 of the main body 2. This allows the opening-closing unit 3 to move open in direction A1. Next, the opening-closing unit 3 is operated to move open in direction A1 against the bias of the elastic deformation unit 4, thereby opening the opening 11.
- the opening/closing unit 3 is in an open state (fully open state) when positioned at the opening-open position P2 without abutting the inner portion (inner periphery) of the main body 2.
- This open state allows a portion of an article, such as a string, to be connected through the opening 11 into the storage space 10, allowing the connector 1 to be connected to an article, to connect articles to each other, or to connect parts of articles to each other.
- the opening/closing unit 3 can be moved in the A direction between the opening-closing position P1 and the opening-open position P2. (Closing operation) When the opening operation of the opening-closing part 3 of the connector 1 in the open state is stopped, the opening-closing part 3 moves in the closing direction A2 due to the bias of the elastic deformation part 4.
- the first hooking part 211 of the main body part 2 is placed in the groove part 315 at the tip end 31 of the opening-closing part 3, and the abutment plate part 312 of the first hooked part 311 is brought into contact with or able to contact the inner surface 211A of the first hooking part 211, and the hook-shaped engaging part 313 is engaged with the hook-shaped engaging part 213, thereby placing the opening-closing part 3 in the opening-closing position P1 and entering the closed state.
- the hooked protrusion 323A is engaged with the locking protrusion 223, and the second hooked part 323 is hooked to the second hooking part 221.
- the first hooked portion 311 is hooked to the first hooking portion 211
- the second hooked portion 323 is hooked to the second hooking portion 221 inserted into the through-hole 322. Therefore, compared to when the base end of the opening/closing portion is pivotally supported on the main body, for example, the second hooking portion 221 can be inserted deeply into the insertion connecting portion 321, and the second hooked portion 323 having the above-described configuration can be hooked to the second hooking portion 221, thereby improving the strength of the connector 1 against forces in the A2 direction and twisting forces.
- the connector 1 is in the closed state when the first hooked portion 311 is hooked on the first latching portion 211 and the second hooked portion 323 is hooked on the second latching portion 221 in the opening-closing position P1, but the first hooked portion 311 and the second hooked portion 323 do not necessarily have to abut against each other as long as they are in the hooked state.
- the outer diameter contour of the elastic deformation portion 4 is arranged along the outer diameter contour line (virtual line) of the main body portion 2, and cooperates with the main body portion 2 and the opening/closing portion 3 to form a circular connecting device 1.
- the opening/closing section 3 moves open in the A1 direction, causing the abutment plate section 312 to move away from the inner surface 211A of the first hooking section 211, disengaging the first hooked section 311 from the first hooking section 211, and the hooked protrusion 323A to come off the hooking protrusion 223, disengaging the second hooked section 323 from the second hooking section 221.
- the above-mentioned connector 1 is attached to the inside of a bag or the like and can be used to hang various items or parts of items.
- the main body 2 is formed in a C-shape, but this is not limited to this and it may be formed in other shapes such as a U-shape or a J-shape as long as the shape allows the connected object to be hung on it.
- the plug-in coupling portion 321 has a through-hole 322 into which the hook-shaped second hook portion 221 is inserted, as the arrangement hole 320 in which the other end 22 of the opening/closing portion 3 is arranged, and in the open state, the tip of the second hook portion 221 is arranged to protrude outward from the through-hole 322 (see Figure 5), but this is not limited to this.
- the plug-in coupling portion 321 may have any shape as long as it can appropriately arrange the other end 22.
- the plug-in coupling portion 321 may be formed with a bottomed recess as the arrangement hole 320 into which the second hook portion 221 is inserted.
- a small hole penetrating to the outside may be formed in the bottom of the aforementioned recess.
- the second latched portion 323 is formed with a latched protrusion 323A
- the first latching portion 211 is formed with a latching protrusion 223, and when closed, the latched protrusion 323A is latched with the latching protrusion 223.
- this is not limited to this, and even without this latching, if the second latched portion 323 abuts against the first latching portion 211 and is sufficiently latched in the A2 direction, the latched protrusion 323A and the latching protrusion 223 may be omitted.
- the abutment portion 324 of the insertion coupling portion 321 abuts against the outer surface 221A of the main body 2 at the opening-open position P2, restricting the opening movement of the opening/closing unit 3.
- this is not limited to this.
- the abutment portion 324 may be in a non-abutting state against the outer surface 221A at the opening-open position P2.
- the outer surface 221A of the main body 2, with which the abutment portion 324 abuts, is formed with a recessed portion 221B that is recessed so as to deviate from the movement trajectory of the abutment portion 324.
- this is not limited to this, and if a sufficient opening and closing movement area of the opening/closing portion 3 can be obtained, the recessed portion 221B may be omitted.
- a step 222 is formed that abuts against the insertion side portion of the opening/closing unit 3, the insertion coupling portion 321, at the opening-open position P2.
- this is not limited to this. If the opening/closing unit 3 abuts against another portion at the opening-open position, restricting its opening movement, the step 222 may be in a non-abutting state against the outer surface 221A at the opening-open position P2.
- the tip of the second latched portion 323 is not in contact with the other end 22 of the main body 2 at the opening-open position P2, but this is not limited thereto.
- the tip of the second latched portion 323 may be in contact with the other end 22 of the main body 2 at the opening-open position P2, thereby restricting the opening movement of the opening/closing portion in the A1 direction.
- the connector 1 is configured as a carabiner, but it may also be configured as a ring or other device.
- the connector 1 of this embodiment is a connector 1 that integrally includes a main body 2 that defines a storage space 10 through which a connected object is passed and that defines an opening 11 that communicates with the storage space 10 at one end 21 and the other end 22; an opening/closing unit 3 that opens and closes the opening 11; and an elastic deformation unit 4 that connects the main body 2 and the opening/closing unit 3 so that the opening/closing unit 3 can move open and closed.
- the opening/closing unit 3 has a first hooked portion 311 that is hooked in the A2 direction to the one end 21 of the main body 2 at an opening closing position P1 that closes the opening 11 and whose hooked state is released when moved in the A1 direction, and an insertion connecting portion 321 into which the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted to allow the opening/closing unit 3 to move open and closed.
- the insertion connecting portion 321 is formed with a second hooked portion 323 that is hooked in the A2 direction to the other end 22 of the main body 2 at the opening closing position P1 and whose hooked state is released when moved in the A1 direction.
- the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted into the plug-in coupling portion 321 of the opening-closing portion 3, thereby bringing the opening-closing portion 3 into a coupled state in which it can be opened and closed relative to the main body 2.
- the opening closed position P1 the first latched portion 311 of the opening-closing portion 3 is latched in the A2 direction relative to the one end 21 of the main body 2, and the second latched portion 323 is latched in the A2 direction relative to the other end 22 of the main body 2.
- the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted into the insertion connecting portion 321 in a manner that allows the opening and closing movement of the opening and closing portion 3, so that, compared to when the base end of the opening and closing portion is journaled, the entire elastic deformation portion 4 can be used to open and close the opening and closing portion 3, and concentrated load on only a portion of the elastic deformation portion 4 can be prevented, thereby improving the strength of the connecting device 1.
- the connector 1 can improve strength and maintain a suitable connection state of the opening/closing part 3 to the main body part 2.
- the main body part 2 is formed in a hook shape by defining the opening 11, and the one end part 21 of the main body part 2 is formed with a first hooking part 211 that releasably engages with the first hooked part 311 in the A2 direction, and the other end part 22 of the main body part 2 is formed with a second hooking part 221 that releasably engages with the second hooked part 323 in the A2 direction.
- the opening/closing part 3 when the opening/closing part 3 is positioned in the opening closing position P1, the first hooking part 311 and the second hooking part 323 of the opening/closing part 3 are hooked onto the first hooking part 211 and the second hooking part 221 of the main body part 2, thereby firmly connecting the opening/closing part 3 to the main body part 2 and improving the strength of the connecting device 1 in the closed state.
- the hooked state is released, so that the configuration can allow for swinging movements other than rotation when the opening/closing part 3 moves to the opening and closing position, compared to when the opening/closing part 3 is supported on a shaft, for example.
- the main body portion 2 has an extension portion 23 extending from the connection position with the elastic deformation portion 4 toward the opening 11, the elastic deformation portion 4 extends along the extension portion 23 outside the extension portion 23, and the other end portion 22 of the main body portion 2 is formed by the tip of the extension portion 23.
- the elastic deformation portion 4 can be formed long in the connector 1 in which the main body portion 2 and the opening/closing portion 3 are integrally connected via the elastic deformation portion 4, thereby expanding the range over which the opening/closing portion 3 can swing.
- the insertion connection portion 321 has an arrangement hole portion 320 that opens on the inside, toward the storage space 10, and in which the other end portion 22 of the main body portion 2 is arranged to allow the opening and closing movement of the opening and closing portion 3, and the second hooking portion 323 is arranged in the arrangement hole portion 320.
- the opening/closing unit 3 can be suitably connected to the main body 2 by inserting the other end 22 of the main body 2 into the insertion connection portion 321 from the inside and arranging it in the arrangement hole 320.
- the arrangement hole 320 is formed as a through-hole 322 that penetrates from the inside, which is the accommodation space 10 side, to the outside, which is the opposite side, and into which the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted to allow the opening/closing movement of the opening/closing part 3,

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to connectors such as carabiners and rings that are used to connect items or to connect separate items or parts to each other.
Conventionally, a connector for connecting separate items or parts to each other has been known, which includes a base portion in which a storage space and a hook portion are formed, and an opening/closing body that is connected to the base portion via a spring portion (see Patent Document 1). A shaft hole is formed in the base portion, and a shaft portion that is supported by the shaft hole is formed at the base end of the opening/closing body. With this connector, the opening that communicates with the storage space in the base portion can be opened and closed by rotating the opening/closing body around the shaft portion.
In the connector described in Patent Document 1, the base end of the opening/closing body has an axle that is simply supported in an axle hole in the base, making it difficult to improve strength in the direction of removing the opening/closing body from the connector or in the twisting direction.
The object of the present invention is to provide a connector that can improve strength.

The present invention provides a connector that can improve strength.
[Configuration of this embodiment]
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
1 to 3, the connector 1 according to this embodiment is configured as a round, resin-made carabiner that can be connected to an article or can connect separate articles or parts to each other. The connector 1 includes a main body 2 that defines a storage space 10 through which a string or other part of an article (not shown) is passed and that defines an opening 11 that communicates with the storage space 10 at one end 21 and the other end 22; an opening/closing section 3 that opens and closes the opening 11; and an elastically deformable section 4 that connects the main body 2 and the opening/closing section 3 so that the opening/closing section 3 can be moved between an opening-closing position P1 (see FIG. 4) that closes the opening 11 and an opening-opening position P2 (see FIG. 5) that opens the opening 11 by its opening/closing movement. In this embodiment, the opening closing position P1 is a position where the opening/closing portion 3 is along the circumferential direction of the connecting device 1, and the opening opening position P2 is a position where the opening/closing portion 3 is further inside the storage space 10 than the opening closing position P1.
In the following description, the left-right direction of the connector 1 is referred to as the X-axis direction, the front-rear direction (width direction) of the connector 1 as the Y-axis direction, and the up-down direction of the connector 1 as the Z-axis direction. The X, Y, and Z-axis directions are perpendicular to one another. The opening and closing direction is referred to as the A-axis direction, the opening direction as the A1-axis direction, and the closing direction as the A2-axis direction. The opposing direction between the tip 31 of the opening/closing part 3 and one end 21 of the main body part 2 in the closed state is referred to as the B-axis direction (also the circumferential direction of the connector 1 in this embodiment). Note that the above directions are set for convenience in the description of this embodiment, and the connector 1 in actual use will be oriented in each of these directions as appropriate.
The main body 2 is bent in a hook shape, or in this embodiment, a C-shape, so that a connected object can be hung on it, and its inner peripheral surface defines the storage space 10. In this embodiment, the position on one side of the arc center of the main body 2 in the X-axis direction is the back side of the storage space 10, and the position on the other side of the arc center of the main body 2 in the X-axis direction is the front side. An opening 11 is located at the position on the other side in the X-axis direction.
One end 21 and the other end 22 of the main body 2 are arranged opposite each other in the circumferential direction of the connector 1, with the opening 11 between them. The main body 2 also has an extension 23 that extends circumferentially from the connection position with the elastically deforming portion 4 toward the opening 11, and the other end 22 is formed by the tip of the extension 23. The dimension of the extension 23 in the radial direction of the connector 1 is greater than the dimension of the elastically deforming portion 4 in the radial direction and smaller than the dimension of the portion of the main body 2 excluding the extension 23 in the radial direction.
A first hooking portion 211 is formed on one end portion 21, which releasably engages with a first hooked portion 311 (described later) of the opening/closing unit 3 in the A2 direction. The width dimension of the first hooking portion 211 in the Y-axis direction is smaller than the portion continuous with the first hooking portion 211. The first hooking portion 211 has an inner surface 211A that abuts against the first hooked portion 311 in the A2 direction, and also has a hook-shaped engaging portion 213 at its tip. The engaging portion 213 releasably engages with a hook-shaped engaging portion 313 (described later) of the opening/closing unit 3.
The other end 22 is formed with a second hooking portion 221 that releasably engages with a second hooked portion 323 (described later) of the opening/closing unit 3 in the A2 direction. The width dimension of the second hooking portion 221 in the Y-axis direction is smaller than that of the portion continuous with the second hooking portion 221. The second hooking portion 221 is shaped like a hook, as shown in Figures 1 and 4, and a step 222 is formed protruding in the Y-axis direction at the portion continuous with the base end of the second hooking portion 221 (the middle portion in the longitudinal direction of the extension portion 23), as shown in Figures 1 and 2. Therefore, the dimension of the extension portion 23 in the Y-axis direction is larger on the base end side than the position of the step 222 and smaller on the tip end side than the position of the step 222. This step 222 is positioned so as to abut the insertion side portion of the opening/closing unit 3 of the plug-in connecting portion 321 (described later) at the opening open position P2. The tip of the second hooking portion 221 is formed with a locking protrusion 223 that protrudes inward, toward the storage space 10, and a protrusion 224 that protrudes outward, on the opposite side from the inward side. The outer surface 221A of the second hooking portion 221, adjacent to the protrusion 224, is formed with a recess 221B that is recessed inward so as to deviate from the movement trajectory of the abutting portion 324 (described below). By forming the recess 221B in this manner, when the opening/closing portion 3 moves to open in the A1 direction, the position where the abutting portion 324 abuts against the outer surface 221A can be positioned deeper toward the storage space 10, thereby expanding the opening/closing movement range of the opening/closing portion 3.
The opening/closing part 3 is formed in an arc shape, and when positioned in the opening-closing position P1, it cooperates with the main body part 2 to form the annular connector 1. When positioned in the opening-closing position P1, the tip part 31 of the opening/closing part 3 is positioned opposite one end part 21 of the main body part 2 in direction B, and the base part 32 of the opening/closing part 3 is connected to the elastic deformation part 4 at a portion closer to the outer periphery.
The tip portion 31 has a first latched portion 311 that is latched in the A2 direction to one end 21 of the main body portion 2 at the opening closing position P1 and that is released from the latched state when moved in the A1 direction (opening movement).
The first hooked portion 311 has an abutting plate portion 312 formed on a portion closer to the inner periphery (inner side) of the tip portion 31 and capable of abutting against the inner surface 211A of the first hooking portion 211 at the opening closing position P1, and a hook-shaped engaging portion 313 continuous with the tip of the abutting plate portion 312. The outer surface of the abutting plate portion 312 abuts against the inner surface 211A, and this abutment causes the first hooked portion 311 to be engaged with the first hooking portion 211 in the A2 direction. The engaging portion 313 releasably engages with the engaging portion 213 of the first hooking portion 211 at the opening closing position P1, and this engagement stabilizes the closed state in which the opening 11 is closed. In addition, the first hooking portion 311 has a pair of side plate portions 314 that are continuous with the abutment plate portion 312, and the abutment plate portion 312 and the pair of side plate portions 314 form a groove portion 315 in which the first hooking portion 211 is positioned so that it can be removed.
The base end 32 has an insertion connection portion 321 into which the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted to allow the opening/closing portion 3 to move open and close in the A direction.
The insertion coupling portion 321 has an arrangement hole 320 that opens on the inside, that is, the storage space 10 side, and in which the other end 22 of the main body portion 2 is arranged to allow the opening/closing movement of the opening/closing portion 3. A second latched portion 323 is arranged in the arrangement hole 320. In this embodiment, the arrangement hole 320 is formed as a through hole 322 that penetrates from the inside, that is, the storage space 10 side, to the outside, that is the opposite side, and a second latched portion 323 is formed in a portion of the through hole 322 near the inner periphery of the connector 1, protruding from an inner wall 322A that forms the through hole 322 so as to be latched onto the other end 22 of the main body portion 2 in the opening closing position P1, and a latched protrusion 323A that protrudes from the inside, that is, the storage space 10 side, to the outside, that is the opposite side, is formed at the tip of the second latched portion 323. Furthermore, the portion of the inner wall 322A of the insertion coupling portion 321 where the second hooking portion 221 is located between the second hooked portion 323 and the second hook portion 324 serves as an abutting portion 324 that abuts against the outer surface 221A of the second hooking portion 221 at the opening-open position P2. The abutting portion 324 abuts against the outer surface 221A of the coupler 1, thereby restricting the opening-closing portion 3 from moving in the A1 direction beyond the opening-open position P2. The distance between the second hooking portion 221 and the abutting portion 324 is wide enough to form a gap 325 between the second hooking portion 221 and the abutting portion 324. The formation of the gap 325 allows the opening-closing portion 3 to swing by the amount of the gap 325. This allows the opening-closing portion 3 to move smoothly in the A direction.
This second hooked portion 323 is hooked in the A2 direction relative to the second hooking portion 221 by the hooked protrusion 323A being engaged with the locking protrusion 223 at the opening closing position P1, and this hooked state is released when moved in the A1 direction (opening movement).
The elastically deforming portion 4 is molded integrally with the main body portion 2 and has a generally J-shaped configuration with an upright portion 41 that protrudes outward from the main body portion 2 (outward in the radial direction of the connector 1) away from the storage space 10, and a continuous portion 42 that bends in a curved shape and extends from the tip of the upright portion 41 toward the opening/closing portion 3, and is located on the other side in the X-axis direction. The elastically deforming portion 4 is also located a certain distance away from the extension portion 23, ensuring space for elastic deformation of the elastically deforming portion 4. This elastically deforming portion 4 constantly biases the opening/closing portion 3 in the A2 direction even when the opening is in the closed position P1, and its elastic deformation allows the opening/closing portion 3 to swing slightly in the B direction.
The initial state of the connector 1 described above is shown in Fig. 1. The opening/closing portion 3 is disposed outside the opening 11, and the elastically deforming portion 4 is formed to have a smaller curvature than the main body portion 2.
The connector 1 shown in Fig. 1 is assembled by inserting the second hooking portion 221 into the through-hole 322 and positioning the first hooked portion 311 closer to the accommodation space 10 than the first hooking portion 211. Figs. 2 to 4 show the connector 1 in a closed state in the assembled state, with the opening/closing portion 3 positioned at the opening closing position P1.
The opening 11 in the connector 1 is opened and closed as follows.
(Opening operation)
When the opening-closing unit 3 is positioned at the opening closing position P1 and in a closed state (fully closed state), the hook-shaped engaging units 213, 313 are disengaged from the connector 1.
Next, when the opening/closing unit 3 is further moved in the A1 direction to the opening-open position P2 shown in FIG. 5 , the abutment portion 324 of the opening/closing unit 3 abuts the outer surface 221A of the second hook portion 221 of the main body 2, and the base end 32 of the opening/closing unit 3 abuts the step portion 222 of the main body 2, thereby restricting the opening/closing unit 3 from moving in the A1 direction beyond the opening-open position P2. Therefore, the opening/closing unit 3 is in an open state (fully open state) when positioned at the opening-open position P2 without abutting the inner portion (inner periphery) of the main body 2. This open state allows a portion of an article, such as a string, to be connected through the opening 11 into the storage space 10, allowing the connector 1 to be connected to an article, to connect articles to each other, or to connect parts of articles to each other. The opening/closing unit 3 can be moved in the A direction between the opening-closing position P1 and the opening-open position P2.
(Closing operation)
When the opening operation of the opening-closing part 3 of the connector 1 in the open state is stopped, the opening-closing part 3 moves in the closing direction A2 due to the bias of the elastic deformation part 4. Next, the first hooking part 211 of the main body part 2 is placed in the groove part 315 at the tip end 31 of the opening-closing part 3, and the abutment plate part 312 of the first hooked part 311 is brought into contact with or able to contact the inner surface 211A of the first hooking part 211, and the hook-shaped engaging part 313 is engaged with the hook-shaped engaging part 213, thereby placing the opening-closing part 3 in the opening-closing position P1 and entering the closed state. At this time, the hooked protrusion 323A is engaged with the locking protrusion 223, and the second hooked part 323 is hooked to the second hooking part 221. Thus, in the closed state, the first hooked portion 311 is hooked to the first hooking portion 211, and the second hooked portion 323 is hooked to the second hooking portion 221 inserted into the through-hole 322.
Here, the connector 1 is in the closed state when the first hooked portion 311 is hooked on the first latching portion 211 and the second hooked portion 323 is hooked on the second latching portion 221 in the opening-closing position P1, but the first hooked portion 311 and the second hooked portion 323 do not necessarily have to abut against each other as long as they are in the hooked state. For example, even if a gap is formed between the first hooked portion 311 and the first latching portion 211 and between the second hooked portion 323 and the second latching portion 221, it is sufficient that when a force is applied in the A2 direction, either the first hooked portion 311 and the first latching portion 211 or the second hooked portion 323 and the second latching portion 221 that formed the gap abut against each other to form the hooked state.
In addition, in this embodiment, in the closed state, the outer diameter contour of the elastic deformation portion 4 is arranged along the outer diameter contour line (virtual line) of the main body portion 2, and cooperates with the main body portion 2 and the opening/closing portion 3 to form a circular connecting device 1.
In addition, when the connector 1 is in the open state, the opening/closing section 3 moves open in the A1 direction, causing the abutment plate section 312 to move away from the inner surface 211A of the first hooking section 211, disengaging the first hooked section 311 from the first hooking section 211, and the hooked protrusion 323A to come off the hooking protrusion 223, disengaging the second hooked section 323 from the second hooking section 221.
The above-mentioned connector 1 is attached to the inside of a bag or the like and can be used to hang various items or parts of items.
[Modification]
In the above embodiment, the main body 2 is formed in a C-shape, but this is not limited to this and it may be formed in other shapes such as a U-shape or a J-shape as long as the shape allows the connected object to be hung on it.
In the above embodiment, the plug-in coupling portion 321 has a through-hole 322 into which the hook-shaped second hook portion 221 is inserted, as the arrangement hole 320 in which the other end 22 of the opening/closing portion 3 is arranged, and in the open state, the tip of the second hook portion 221 is arranged to protrude outward from the through-hole 322 (see Figure 5), but this is not limited to this. The plug-in coupling portion 321 may have any shape as long as it can appropriately arrange the other end 22. For example, the plug-in coupling portion 321 may be formed with a bottomed recess as the arrangement hole 320 into which the second hook portion 221 is inserted. Furthermore, a small hole penetrating to the outside may be formed in the bottom of the aforementioned recess.
In the above embodiment, the second latched portion 323 is formed with a latched protrusion 323A, and the first latching portion 211 is formed with a latching protrusion 223, and when closed, the latched protrusion 323A is latched with the latching protrusion 223. However, this is not limited to this, and even without this latching, if the second latched portion 323 abuts against the first latching portion 211 and is sufficiently latched in the A2 direction, the latched protrusion 323A and the latching protrusion 223 may be omitted.
In the above embodiment, the abutment portion 324 of the insertion coupling portion 321 abuts against the outer surface 221A of the main body 2 at the opening-open position P2, restricting the opening movement of the opening/closing unit 3. However, this is not limited to this. For example, if the opening/closing unit 3 abuts against another part of the main body 2 at the opening-open position P2, restricting its opening movement, the abutment portion 324 may be in a non-abutting state against the outer surface 221A at the opening-open position P2.
In the above embodiment, the outer surface 221A of the main body 2, with which the abutment portion 324 abuts, is formed with a recessed portion 221B that is recessed so as to deviate from the movement trajectory of the abutment portion 324. However, this is not limited to this, and if a sufficient opening and closing movement area of the opening/closing portion 3 can be obtained, the recessed portion 221B may be omitted.
In the above embodiment, a step 222 is formed that abuts against the insertion side portion of the opening/closing unit 3, the insertion coupling portion 321, at the opening-open position P2. However, this is not limited to this. If the opening/closing unit 3 abuts against another portion at the opening-open position, restricting its opening movement, the step 222 may be in a non-abutting state against the outer surface 221A at the opening-open position P2.
In the above embodiment, the tip of the second latched portion 323 is not in contact with the other end 22 of the main body 2 at the opening-open position P2, but this is not limited thereto. The tip of the second latched portion 323 may be in contact with the other end 22 of the main body 2 at the opening-open position P2, thereby restricting the opening movement of the opening/closing portion in the A1 direction.
In the above embodiment, the connector 1 is configured as a carabiner, but it may also be configured as a ring or other device.
[Action and effect]
(1) The connector 1 of this embodiment is a connector 1 that integrally includes a main body 2 that defines a storage space 10 through which a connected object is passed and that defines an opening 11 that communicates with the storage space 10 at one end 21 and the other end 22; an opening/closing unit 3 that opens and closes the opening 11; and an elastic deformation unit 4 that connects the main body 2 and the opening/closing unit 3 so that the opening/closing unit 3 can move open and closed. The opening/closing unit 3 has a first hooked portion 311 that is hooked in the A2 direction to the one end 21 of the main body 2 at an opening closing position P1 that closes the opening 11 and whose hooked state is released when moved in the A1 direction, and an insertion connecting portion 321 into which the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted to allow the opening/closing unit 3 to move open and closed. The insertion connecting portion 321 is formed with a second hooked portion 323 that is hooked in the A2 direction to the other end 22 of the main body 2 at the opening closing position P1 and whose hooked state is released when moved in the A1 direction.
According to the coupler 1 of this embodiment, the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted into the plug-in coupling portion 321 of the opening-closing portion 3, thereby bringing the opening-closing portion 3 into a coupled state in which it can be opened and closed relative to the main body 2. In addition, at the opening closed position P1, the first latched portion 311 of the opening-closing portion 3 is latched in the A2 direction relative to the one end 21 of the main body 2, and the second latched portion 323 is latched in the A2 direction relative to the other end 22 of the main body 2. This improves the strength of the coupler 1 in the direction in which the opening-closing portion 3 is removed from the outside, compared to, for example, when the opening-closing portion 3 is pivotally supported on the main body 2. Furthermore, because the other end 22 of the main body 2, which latches the second latched portion 323, is inserted into the plug-in coupling portion 321, the strength of the coupler 1 in the torsional direction can be improved compared to, for example, when the opening-closing portion 3 is pivotally supported on the main body 2. In addition, the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted into the insertion connecting portion 321 in a manner that allows the opening and closing movement of the opening and closing portion 3, so that, compared to when the base end of the opening and closing portion is journaled, the entire elastic deformation portion 4 can be used to open and close the opening and closing portion 3, and concentrated load on only a portion of the elastic deformation portion 4 can be prevented, thereby improving the strength of the connecting device 1.
In this way, the connector 1 can improve strength and maintain a suitable connection state of the opening/closing part 3 to the main body part 2. (2) In the connector 1 of this embodiment, the main body part 2 is formed in a hook shape by defining the opening 11, and the one end part 21 of the main body part 2 is formed with a first hooking part 211 that releasably engages with the first hooked part 311 in the A2 direction, and the other end part 22 of the main body part 2 is formed with a second hooking part 221 that releasably engages with the second hooked part 323 in the A2 direction.
According to this configuration, when the opening/closing part 3 is positioned in the opening closing position P1, the first hooking part 311 and the second hooking part 323 of the opening/closing part 3 are hooked onto the first hooking part 211 and the second hooking part 221 of the main body part 2, thereby firmly connecting the opening/closing part 3 to the main body part 2 and improving the strength of the connecting device 1 in the closed state.Furthermore, when the opening/closing part 3 is positioned in a position moved to an open position from the opening closing position P1, the hooked state is released, so that the configuration can allow for swinging movements other than rotation when the opening/closing part 3 moves to the opening and closing position, compared to when the opening/closing part 3 is supported on a shaft, for example.
(3) In the connector 1 of this embodiment, the main body portion 2 has an extension portion 23 extending from the connection position with the elastic deformation portion 4 toward the opening 11, the elastic deformation portion 4 extends along the extension portion 23 outside the extension portion 23, and the other end portion 22 of the main body portion 2 is formed by the tip of the extension portion 23.
According to this configuration, the elastic deformation portion 4 can be formed long in the connector 1 in which the main body portion 2 and the opening/closing portion 3 are integrally connected via the elastic deformation portion 4, thereby expanding the range over which the opening/closing portion 3 can swing. This allows the other end 22 of the main body portion 2 to be easily inserted into the insertion coupling portion 321 of the opening/closing portion 3, and also flexibly allows for swinging other than rotation accompanying the opening/closing movement of the opening/closing portion 3, allowing the opening/closing portion 3 to move smoothly.
(4) The insertion connection portion 321 has an arrangement hole portion 320 that opens on the inside, toward the storage space 10, and in which the other end portion 22 of the main body portion 2 is arranged to allow the opening and closing movement of the opening and closing portion 3, and the second hooking portion 323 is arranged in the arrangement hole portion 320.
With this configuration, the opening/closing unit 3 can be suitably connected to the main body 2 by inserting the other end 22 of the main body 2 into the insertion connection portion 321 from the inside and arranging it in the arrangement hole 320.
(5) In the connector 1 of this embodiment, the arrangement hole 320 is formed as a through-hole 322 that penetrates from the inside, which is the accommodation space 10 side, to the outside, which is the opposite side, and into which the other end 22 of the main body 2 is inserted to allow the opening/closing movement of the opening/closing part 3,
The second latched portion 323 is formed on an inner wall 322A that forms the through hole 322 so as to be latched onto the other end portion 22 of the main body portion 2 at the opening closing position P1.
According to this configuration, by forming a through hole 322 in the plug-in connection portion 321 into which the other end portion 22 of the main body portion 2 is inserted, the opening/closing portion 3 can be made smaller than, for example, when a recessed portion in which the other end portion 22 of the main body portion 2 is inserted is formed in the plug-in connection portion 321, and it is possible to avoid complicating the shape and configuration of the mold for molding the opening/closing portion 3.
(6) In the connector 1 of this embodiment, the other end 22 of the main body 2 is formed with a locking protrusion 223 that protrudes inward toward the storage space 10, and the second latching portion 323 is formed with a locking protrusion 323A that protrudes outward, opposite the inward side, and is locked by the locking protrusion 223 at the opening closing position P1.
With this configuration, the engaging protrusion 323A is engaged with the engaging protrusion 223 at the opening closing position P1, thereby improving the strength in the direction of removing the opening/closing part 3 to the outside of the connecting device 1 and preventing the other end 22 of the main body part 2 from accidentally coming out of the insert connecting part 321 of the opening/closing part 3.
(7) In the connector 1 of this embodiment, the insertion connector 321 has the abutment portion 324 that abuts against the outer surface 221A of the main body 2 at the opening opening position P2 where the opening 11 is opened.
This configuration can prevent the opening/closing unit 3 from moving excessively beyond the opening-opening position P2.
(8) In the connector 1 of this embodiment, the outer surface 221A of the main body 2 with which the abutting portion 324 abuts is formed with a recess 221B that is recessed so as to deviate from the movement trajectory of the abutting portion 324.
With this configuration, the abutment portion 324 that moves when the opening/closing portion 3 moves to open can be avoided by the recess 221B, so the position where the abutment portion 324 abuts against the outer surface 221A can be positioned deep into the storage space 10, thereby widening the opening/closing movement range of the opening/closing portion 3.
(9) In the connector 1 of this embodiment, the other end 22 of the main body 2 is formed with a step 222 that abuts against the insertion side portion of the plug-in connecting portion 321 of the opening/closing portion 3 at the opening opening position P2 where the opening 11 is opened.
This configuration can prevent the opening/closing unit 3 from moving excessively beyond the opening-opening position P2.
