Abstract
An apparatus for maintaining and restoring the internal pressure of pressurised sports balls is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a container forming a sealable pressure chamber for one or more balls, a pressurization system for introducing compressed gas into the chamber, and a control unit for regulating the internal pressure. When balls are stored in the chamber at a selected pressure above ambient, they are prevented from going flat, and balls that have lost pressure can be re-inflated by exposure to higher pressure over time. The device automatically pressurizes the chamber to a predetermined level and sustains that pressure for a designated period, after which pressure can be safely released.
