Abstract

L'invention divulgue des connecteurs de fibres optiques pouvant être installés sur le terrain pour réaliser une épissure mécanique avec une fibre optique d'embase disposée à l'intérieur du connecteur de fibres optiques. Le connecteur de fibres optiques comprend un boîtier et un ensemble épissure de fibres optiques pour réaliser une épissure mécanique à l'aide de la fibre optique d'embase du connecteur de fibres optiques. L'ensemble épissure de fibres optiques est approprié pour recevoir une fibre optique à partir d'un câble optique préparé sur le terrain pour venir en butée avec la fibre optique d'embase et réaliser l'épissure mécanique à l'intérieur du connecteur de fibres optiques. Le boîtier comprend avantageusement une fenêtre d'inspection pour visualiser l'insertion de la fibre optique de terrain dans l'ensemble d'épissure de fibres optiques.
