Definitions

  • This disclosure relates to hair-treating tools that act as tweezers or hair clippers.
  • Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2 conventional tweezers are made by processing a metal plate to form a pair of clamping pieces, with the end of each clamping piece that clamps the hair as the tip end and the opposite end as the base end, and the pair of clamping pieces are joined at the base ends.
  • a predetermined length of the pair of clamping pieces in the longitudinal direction is the base end, i.e., the joint portion, and the portion closer to the tip end than the base end is the non-joint portion.
  • Each clamping piece has the same width from the base end to near the longitudinal center position of each clamping piece in the non-joint portion, and the width narrows from near the center position toward the tip.
  • the distance between the pair of clamping pieces gradually increases from the base end toward the tip, and each clamping piece is folded near the tip to bring them closer together.
  • Each clamping piece is folded near the tip, i.e. at the point where the width gradually narrows.

  • the angle ⁇ 1 between the portion of the non-jointed portion from the bent portion to the tip and the angle ⁇ 2 between the portion of the non-jointed portion from the bent portion to the base end in the longitudinal direction is greater than the angle ⁇ 2.
  • the greater the angle ⁇ 1 the stronger the force that pinches the hair when the same force is applied.
  • the greater the angle ⁇ 1 the greater the distance between the portions of the pair of clamping pieces that are pressed by the fingers can be made larger, so that the non-jointed portion does not bend excessively while leaving room for bending, making it easier to apply more force after pinching the hair.
  • the greater the angle ⁇ 1 the easier it is for the force of the fingers to directly act as a force that pinches the hair. Therefore, when hair treatment is performed, the hair can be pinched more firmly to make it less slippery, making it possible to perform hair treatment more accurately, and since hair treatment can be performed with a relatively small force, fingers do not get tired easily even when multiple hair treatments are performed. Therefore, the hair treatment tool can be made easy to use for users regardless of age or gender.
  • the tip end is tapered from the bent portion, when using the hair treatment tool by placing your finger on the base end side of the non-jointed portion from the bent portion, the hair to be treated is less likely to be hidden, making it easier to see and treat the hair to be treated.

In this way, by making W1/W2 greater than or equal to 4/3 and less than or equal to 3, it is possible to make the bent portion have a width that is easy to push, while making the portion closest to the base end of the non-jointed portion narrower in width so that it is easier to bend.

This application is based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2023-204740, filed on December 4, 2023, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.

This disclosure relates to hair-treating tools that act as tweezers or hair clippers.

As shown in Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2, conventional tweezers are made by processing a metal plate to form a pair of clamping pieces, with the end of each clamping piece that clamps the hair as the tip end and the opposite end as the base end, and the pair of clamping pieces are joined at the base ends.

In the tweezers of Non-Patent Document 1, a predetermined length of the pair of clamping pieces in the longitudinal direction is the base end, i.e., the joint portion, and the portion closer to the tip end than the base end is the non-joint portion. Each clamping piece has the same width from the base end to near the longitudinal center position of each clamping piece in the non-joint portion, and the width narrows from near the center position toward the tip. In addition, in the non-joint portion, the distance between the pair of clamping pieces gradually increases from the base end toward the tip, and each clamping piece is folded near the tip to bring them closer together. Each clamping piece is folded near the tip, i.e. at the point where the width gradually narrows.

In the tweezers of Non-Patent Document 2, a predetermined length of the pair of clamping pieces in the longitudinal direction is the base end, i.e., the joint portion, and the portion closer to the tip end than the base end is the non-joint portion. Each clamping piece is wide near the longitudinal center of the base end and the non-joint portion, and the width between them is narrowed, and the non-joint portion gradually narrows from near the longitudinal center toward the tip end, giving the tip a pointed shape. In the non-joint portion, the distance between the pair of clamping pieces gradually widens from the base end toward the tip end, and is then bent near the central position to make the widening gentler, and the clamping pieces are further bent at the point near the tip where the width gradually narrows.

Also, as shown in Non-Patent Document 3, there are tweezers in which a pair of clamping pieces are formed three-dimensionally using a mold, the end of each clamping piece that clamps the hair being the tip end and the opposite end being the base end, and the pair of clamping pieces are joined at the base ends. In these tweezers, a predetermined length of each pair of clamping pieces in the longitudinal direction is the base end, i.e. the joint, and the part closer to the tip than the base end is the non-jointed part. The non-jointed part is made thinner near the base end and thicker further towards the tip. The pair of clamping pieces are tapered towards the tip and are curved at the tapered part, narrowing the gap between them. The tips are also rounded.

However, when the base end is thick like the tweezers in Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2, a strong force is required to deform the pair of clamping pieces. In particular, a stronger force is required to increase the force with which the tip end pinches the hair, and fingers become tired easily when handling a large number of hairs. In addition, the tweezers in Non-Patent Documents 1 to 3 have a bent or curved structure at the tapered tip side, so the part where the fingers press and apply force during use is far from the tip, and it is not possible to pinch hair as if pinching it with your fingers.
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair treating tool that reduces the force required for use and allows hair to be pinched as if it were being pinched with fingers.

The first aspect of the present disclosure is a hair treatment tool that is configured with a pair of clamping pieces, one direction being the longitudinal direction, an end on one side in the longitudinal direction being a tip end that clamps hair, and the other end on the longitudinal direction being a base end, that are joined together at the base end, and the portion closer to the tip than the base end being a non-jointed portion, and that performs hair treatment by plucking or cutting the hair that is clamped at the tip end, and both of the pair of clamping pieces are configured from metal plates and have a bent portion that is bent between the tip end and the base end, and are shaped so that the distance between them gradually increases from the base end to the bent portion and gradually decreases from the bent portion to the tip end, and the direction in which the pair of clamping pieces are arranged and the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction are the width direction, and the width dimension gradually increases from the base end to the bent portion and gradually decreases from the bent portion to the tip end, and the bent portion is formed at a position closer to the tip than the base end.

In this way, the width dimension gradually increases from the base end to the bent portion, and the width dimension gradually decreases from the bent portion to the tip portion. The bent portion is positioned closer to the tip portion.

If the bent portion is positioned closer to the tip, the part of the non-jointed portion that is pressed with the fingers will be positioned closer to the tip. This means that when treating hair, the fingers can be positioned closer to the tip, making it possible to treat the hair as if pinching it with your fingers. There are times when hair treatment is performed while checking the target area in a mirror, as well as when it is desired to pinch the hair by feeling without using a mirror. In these cases, it is easier to treat the hair with the fingers positioned closer to the tip.

Furthermore, when the bent portion is disposed closer to the tip, the angle θ1 between the portion of the non-jointed portion from the bent portion to the tip and the angle θ2 between the portion of the non-jointed portion from the bent portion to the base end in the longitudinal direction is greater than the angle θ2. When hair treatment is performed, the greater the angle θ1, the stronger the force that pinches the hair when the same force is applied. In addition, the greater the angle θ1, the greater the distance between the portions of the pair of clamping pieces that are pressed by the fingers can be made larger, so that the non-jointed portion does not bend excessively while leaving room for bending, making it easier to apply more force after pinching the hair. Also, the greater the angle θ1, the easier it is for the force of the fingers to directly act as a force that pinches the hair. In addition, because the tip end is tapered from the bent portion, when using the hair treatment tool by placing your finger on the base end side of the non-jointed portion from the bent portion, the hair to be treated is less likely to be hidden, making it easier to see and treat the hair to be treated.

Furthermore, in hair treatment tools used for plucking or cutting hair, when in use, the pair of clamping pieces bend at the non-jointed parts that are separated from each other, making it possible to clamp the hair at the tip, but the part of the non-jointed parts closest to the base end bends primarily. For this reason, weakening the spring force of the part of the non-jointed parts closest to the base end can reduce the force required when treating hair.

On the other hand, the portion of the non-jointed portion that is pressed with a finger during use can be made easier to press by increasing the width dimension. Also, by gradually increasing the width dimension of the non-jointed portion from the base end toward the bent portion, the base end side of the non-jointed portion can be made to bend while the bent portion side can be made to bend less easily. If the non-jointed portion bends excessively over a wide range in the longitudinal direction, the positions of the two tips of the pair of clamping pieces may not align, but by limiting the area of the non-jointed portion that primarily bends to the base end side, excessive bending of the non-jointed portion can be prevented and the positions of the two tips of the pair of clamping pieces can be accurately aligned.

In the hair treatment tool according to the second aspect of the present disclosure, the ratio D1/D2, which is the ratio of the distance D1 from the tip to the bent part in the longitudinal direction to the distance D2 from the base to the bent part, is set to be 1/4 or more and 1/7 or less. By making D1/D2 1/4 or more and 1/7 or less in this way, the bent part can be positioned closer to the tip, which makes it easier to obtain the effect of treating hair with a feeling similar to pinching hair with fingers and to pinch hair more firmly when treating hair.

In the hair treatment tool according to the third aspect of the present disclosure, W1/W2, which is the ratio of the width dimension W1 of the bent portion of the non-jointed portion to the width dimension W2 of the portion closest to the base end, is set to be greater than or equal to 4/3 and less than or equal to 3. In this way, by making W1/W2 greater than or equal to 4/3 and less than or equal to 3, it is possible to make the bent portion have a width that is easy to push, while making the portion closest to the base end of the non-jointed portion narrower in width so that it is easier to bend.

In the hair treatment tool according to the fourth aspect of the present disclosure, the pair of clamping pieces have a width dimension that decreases from the bent portion toward the tip, and the tip is rounded, and the tip has flat surfaces that face each other, so that the tweezers pinch and pull out hairs with the flat surfaces. In this way, by rounding the tip, it is possible to prevent the skin from being damaged even if the tip touches the skin around the hair.

In the hair treatment tool according to the fifth aspect of the present disclosure, the widthwise dimension of the pair of clamping pieces decreases from the bent portion toward the tip, with the tip being straight along the widthwise direction, and the tip of each of the pair of clamping pieces is a hair-cutting portion that is sharp in the direction approaching the tip of the other of the pair of clamping pieces, and the hair is cut by clamping the hair with the hair-cutting portion and making line contact with it. In this way, by making the tip straight and making the tip of each of the pair of clamping pieces sharp in the direction approaching the tip of the other, the hair can be cut accurately by clamping the hair with the sharp tip and applying force until the tip comes into line contact.

First Embodiment
A hair treatment tool 1 according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 4. The hair treatment tool 1 is a tool for treating hair by plucking or cutting it, and in this embodiment, a hair treatment tool 1 used as tweezers will be described.

[Configuration of hair treatment tool 1]
The hair treatment tool 1 shown in Figure 1 is configured to have a pair of clamping pieces 10, 20, one end of which is joined and the other end is open. Hereinafter, of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20, the one located at the top of the page in Figure 1 will be referred to as the first clamping piece 10, and the one located at the bottom of the page will be referred to as the second clamping piece 20.

The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are longitudinally arranged in the left-right direction of the paper in Figs. 2 and 3, with one end in the longitudinal direction being the tip end 11, 21 that clamps the hair, and the other end being the base end 12, 22. Both the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are made of metal plate. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 can be made of any material, but stainless steel is used as the material, for example. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are formed by performing metal processing such as laser processing or press processing on a single metal plate. The thickness of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 is arbitrary, but the thicker the piece, the higher the rigidity, but the greater the force required during use, so the thickness is set to, for example, 2 mm or less, preferably 1 mm.

The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arranged facing each other and are joined together at the base ends 12, 22 to form an integrated unit. The joining form at the base ends 12, 22 is arbitrary, but for example, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are joined by spot welding at two locations along the longitudinal direction. Note that when local joining is performed, such as spot welding, the entire area of the base ends 12, 22 is not joined, but only a portion of it is joined, and the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are simply in contact around it. For this reason, the portions of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 that are in contact with each other and at least a portion of which is joined are referred to as the base ends 12, 22.

The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have non-jointed portions 13, 23 at the tip end 11, 21 side from the base end 12, 22. At the non-jointed portions 13, 23, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arranged with a gap between them. In other words, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are spaced apart from the boundary between the base end 12, 22 and the non-jointed portion 13, 23, in other words, the portion of the non-jointed portion 13, 23 closest to the base end 12, 22, and a gap is provided. Here, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are bent away from each other at the boundary between the base end 12, 22 and the non-jointed portion 13, 23, but they may be curved.

Furthermore, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have bent portions 14, 24 at the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that are V-shaped when the hair treatment tool 1 is viewed from the side as shown in FIG. 3, and are bent in a direction such that the tip ends 11, 21 approach each other. Therefore, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are shaped so that the gap between them gradually widens from the base ends 12, 22 to the bent portions 14, 24, and gradually narrows from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip ends 11, 21.

Here, as shown by the dashed line in FIG. 3, the line passing through the center position in the direction in which the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arranged, and as shown by the dashed line in FIG. 2, the line passing through the center position in the width direction described later, and along the longitudinal direction of the hair treatment tool 1, is called the center line C1. Regarding the size of each part of the non-jointed parts 13, 23 along this center line C1, the distance D1 from the most distal end of the tip end 11, 21 to the bent part 14, 24 is smaller than the distance D2 from the bent part 14, 24 to the part of the non-jointed parts 13, 23 closest to the base end 12, 22. Specifically, the ratio D1/D2 of the distance D1 to the distance D2 is set to 1/4 or more and 1/7 or less. For example, the length L1 of the non-jointed parts 13, 23 in the direction along the center line C1 is set to 73±2 mm, the distance D1 is set to 11±1 mm, and the distance D2 is set to 62±1 mm. In this case, even with manufacturing errors, D1/D2 is 1/6.3 to 1/5.1. Therefore, it is possible to ensure that the above-mentioned D1/D2 is within the range of 1/4 or more and 1/7 or less.

The overall length L of the hair treatment tool 1 in the direction along the center line C1 and the length L2 of the base ends 12, 22 are arbitrary, but for example, the length L is 95±2 mm and the length L2 is 22±1 mm.

3, when the hair treatment tool 1 is viewed from the side, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are linear from the boundary position with the base end 12 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to the bent portions 14, 24, and are also linear from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip portions 11, 21. In other words, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are flat from the boundary position with the base end 12 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to the bent portions 14, 24, and are also flat from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip portions 11, 21. And because the bent portions 14, 24 are positioned closer to the tips 11, 21, the angle θ1 between the non-jointed portions 13, 23 and the tips 11, 21 and the angle θ2 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the base ends 12, 22 is greater than the angle θ2. For example, the angle θ3 between the bent portions 14, 24 is 152 degrees, the angle θ1 is 22 degrees, and the angle θ2 is 6 degrees.

By setting the distances D1, D2 and angles θ1 to θ3 as described above, when no force is being applied to the hair treatment tool 1, i.e. when the non-jointed portions 13, 23 are not flexed, there is a gap between the two tips 11, 21. When force is applied to the hair treatment tool 1 and the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 flex at the non-jointed portions 13, 23, the size of the gap between the two tips 11, 21 changes, and the tips 11, 21 come into contact with each other.

Furthermore, the width direction refers to the vertical direction of the paper in Fig. 2, i.e., the direction perpendicular to the vertical direction of the paper in Fig. 2 in which the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are arranged, and also perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the hair treatment tool 1, which is the horizontal direction of the paper in Fig. 2. The dimension in this width direction gradually increases from the base ends 12, 22 to the bent parts 14, 24, and gradually decreases from the bent parts 14, 24 to the tip ends 11, 21.

More specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, the non-jointed portions 13, 23 have the largest widthwise dimension at the bent portions 14, 24 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the base ends 12, 22, and the smallest widthwise dimension at the boundary position with the base ends 12, 22. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have symmetrical external shapes on both sides with the center line C1 as a line of symmetry between the bent portions 14, 24 and the base ends 12, 22 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23. In this embodiment, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have side surfaces on both sides of the center line C1 that increase linearly in widthwise dimension from the base ends 12, 22 to the bent portions 14, 24, and the side surfaces on both sides are linearly inclined with respect to the center line C1.

Furthermore, in the non-jointed portions 13, 23, between the bent portions 14, 24 and the tip portions 11, 21, the widthwise dimension is largest at the bent portions 14, 24, and the widthwise dimension is smaller toward the tip portions 11, 21. The tip portions 11, 21 are rounded and have an R-shape. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have symmetrical outer shapes on both sides with the center line C1 as a line of symmetry even between the bent portions 14, 24 and the tip portions 11, 21 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23. In this embodiment, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have a linear decrease in widthwise dimension from the bent portions 14, 24 to the tip portions 11, 21, except for the R-shaped portions of the tip portions 11, 21, and the side surfaces on both sides sandwiching the center line C1 are shaped to be linearly inclined with respect to the center line C1.

Regarding the widthwise dimension of the non-jointed portions 13, 23, the dimension W1 at the bent portions 14, 24 is greater than the dimension W2 at the base ends 12, 22, and the ratio between them, W1/W2, is set to 4/3 or more and 3 or less. For example, the dimension W1 is set to 9±1 mm, and the dimension W2 is set to 5.5±1 mm. In this case, even with manufacturing errors included, W1/W2 is 8/5.6 to 10/5.4. This ensures that the above-mentioned W1/W2 is within the range of 4/3 or more and 3 or less.

For example, in the direction along the center line C1, the length L3 of the R-shaped portion of the tip portions 11, 21 is 1±0.5 mm, and the length L4 of the non-R-shaped portion of the tip portions 11, 21 is 10±0.5 mm. The widthwise dimension W3 at the boundary between the R-shaped portion and the non-R-shaped portion is 3 mm.

The width of the base ends 12, 22 may be constant, or may be narrower toward the rear ends 15, 25 shown in FIG. 3, which are opposite the tip ends 11, 21. In this embodiment, the width of the base ends 12, 22 is made smaller from the boundary with the non-jointed portions 13, 23 toward the rear ends 15, 25. For example, in the state in which the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are made into metal flat plates before processing, the width dimension of the base ends 12, 22 is gradually made smaller toward the rear ends 15, 25 so that the parts that will become the non-jointed portions 13, 23 and the parts that will become the base ends 12, 22 are straight. In addition, the rear ends 15, 25 are rounded, but they may be straight along the width direction.

Furthermore, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, the portions of the tip portions 11, 21 that face each other are made into opposing flat surfaces 11a, 21a. The flat surfaces 11a, 21a are constructed by reducing the thickness of the tip portions 11, 21 in a predetermined range from the very tip of the tip portions 11, 21. The range that is made into this flat surface 11a, 21a is arbitrary, but here, the range that corresponds to the R-shaped portion of the tip portions 11, 21 is made into the flat surface 11a, 21a. The hair treatment tool 1 according to this embodiment is constructed as described above.

[Method of using the hair treatment tool 1]
Next, a method of using the hair treating tool 1 according to this embodiment configured as described above will be described.

The hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment is used by holding it in the hand so that the pads or fingertips of the thumb and index finger touch the non-jointed parts 13, 23 closer to the base ends 12, 22 than the bent parts 14, 24, as shown by the two-dot chain oval in Figure 3. Alternatively, the pads or fingertips of the thumb and index finger may touch the bent parts 14, 24 directly.

After holding the hair treatment tool 1 in the hand, bring the hair treatment tool 1 to the position where the hair to be removed is located between the flat surfaces 11a, 21a of both ends 11, 21, and apply force with the fingertips to the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20. This reduces the distance between the non-jointed parts 13, 23, and the hair to be removed can be pinched by the flat surfaces 11a, 21a of both ends 11, 21. Since the flat surfaces 11a, 21a are formed on both ends 11, 21, it is possible to pinch the hair stably over a wide range. Then, move the hair treatment tool 1 while pinching the hair and pull it. This allows the hair to be removed. After the hair has been removed, when the force of the fingers is released, the bending of the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 returns due to the spring force, and the space between the ends 11, 21 opens again as shown in FIG. 1. This allows multiple hairs to be removed in succession.

[Effects of hair treatment tool 1]
The hair treating tool 1 according to the present embodiment described above has the following advantages.

(1) In the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, the bent portions 14, 24 are arranged closer to the tips 11, 21. With this arrangement, the non-jointed portions 13, 23 that are pressed by the fingers are arranged closer to the tips 11, 21. Therefore, when performing hair treatment, the fingers can be positioned closer to the tips 11, 21, making it possible to perform hair treatment with a feeling as if the hair were being pinched with the fingers. Hair treatment is not only performed when the target location is directly confirmed or while checking the target location in a mirror, but also when it is desired to pinch the hair by feeling without using a mirror. In such cases, it is easier to perform hair treatment with the fingers positioned closer to the tips 11, 21. Therefore, by arranging the bent portions 14, 24 closer to the tips 11, 21 as in the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, hair treatment can be performed with a feeling of pinching the hair by the fingers, and it is also possible to easily pinch the hair when pinching the hair by feeling.

(2) When the bent portions 14, 24 are positioned closer to the tip portions 11, 21 as in the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, the angle θ1 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the tip portions 11, 21 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 and the angle θ2 between the bent portions 14, 24 and the base portions 12, 22 in the longitudinal direction is greater than the angle θ2. When treating hair, the greater the angle θ1, the stronger the force that pinches the hair when the same force is applied. In addition, the greater the angle θ1, the greater the distance between the portions of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 pressed by the fingers can be made, so that the non-jointed portions 13, 23 do not bend excessively while still leaving room for bending, making it easier to apply more force after pinching the hair. In addition, the greater the angle θ1, the easier it is for the force of the fingers to act as a force that pinches the hair. Therefore, when hair treatment is performed, the hair can be pinched more firmly to prevent the hair from slipping, allowing for more accurate hair treatment, and since hair treatment can be performed with a relatively small force, the fingers do not tire easily even when multiple hair treatments are performed. This makes the hair treatment tool 1 a product that is easy for users of all ages and genders to use. In addition, because the tip end 11, 21 side is tapered from the bent parts 14, 24, when using the hair treatment tool 1 by placing the fingers on the base end 12, 22 side of the non-jointed parts 13, 23 from the bent parts 14, 24, the hair to be treated is less likely to be hidden, making it easier to see the hair to be treated and easier to treat.

Furthermore, by creating a hair removal tool 1 that is easy for anyone to use, removing unwanted hair makes it easier to keep the device clean, which contributes to Goal 3 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the United Nations Summit, which is to "Ensure good health and well-being for all."

(3) In this embodiment, the hair treatment tool 1 has a gradually increasing width from the base end 12, 22 to the bent portion 14, 24, and a gradually decreasing width from the bent portion 14, 24 to the tip end 11, 21.

In the hair treatment tool 1 used for tweezing etc., when in use, the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 bend at the non-jointed parts 13, 23 that are separated from each other, making it possible to pinch hair at the tips 11, 21, but the non-jointed parts 13, 23 closest to the base ends 12, 22 are the ones that bend primarily. For this reason, weakening the spring force at the non-jointed parts 13, 23 closest to the base ends 12, 22 reduces the force required when treating hair. And because tweezing is possible with a relatively weak force, only a small force is required to be applied to the joint parts of the base ends 12, 22, making it difficult for the joint parts to come apart.

On the other hand, the portion of the non-jointed portion 13, 23 that is pressed by the finger during use can be made easier to press by increasing the width dimension. Also, by gradually increasing the width dimension of the non-jointed portion 13, 23 from the base end 12, 22 toward the bent portion 14, 24, the base end 12, 22 side of the non-jointed portion 13, 23 can bend while the bent portion 14, 24 side can be made less likely to bend. If the non-jointed portion 13, 23 bends excessively over a wide range in the longitudinal direction, the positions of the two tip ends 11, 21 of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 may not be aligned, but by limiting the main bending area of the non-jointed portion 13, 23 to the base end 12, 22 side, the non-jointed portion 13, 23 can be prevented from bending excessively, and the positions of the two tip ends 11, 21 of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 can be accurately aligned.

(4) In the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, W1/W2, which is the ratio of the width dimension W1 at the bent portions 14, 24 of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 to the width dimension W2 at the most proximal end 12, 22 side, is set to 4/3 or more and 3 or less. In this way, by making W1/W2 4/3 or more and 3 or less, it is possible to make the bent portions 14, 24 have a width that is easy to push, while making the most proximal end 12, 22 side of the non-jointed portions 13, 23 narrower in width so that they are easier to bend.

(5) The pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 have a smaller width dimension from the bent portions 14, 24 toward the tips 11, 21, with the tips 11, 21 rounded, so that the tweezers pinch and pull out hairs with the opposing flat surfaces 11a, 21a on the tips 11, 21. In this way, by rounding the tips 11, 21, it is possible to prevent the skin from being damaged even if the tips 11, 21 come into contact with the skin around the hair.

(6) The pair of clamping pieces 10 can be made of a simple metal plate, making it possible to create a clean, smooth design that is not easily boring. In addition, the shape of the hair treatment tool 1 makes it easy to wash and wipe, so it can be kept clean.

(7) In the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, a pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 can be formed by processing a metal plate. The first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 have the same shape. Therefore, when the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 in a flat plate state before forming the bent portions 14, 24, etc., are cut out from a single metal plate, they can be cut out as close together as possible. In other words, the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are cut out next to each other so that the tip 11 of the first clamping piece 10 and the rear end 25 of the second clamping piece 20 are adjacent to each other, and the rear end 15 of the first clamping piece 10 and the tip 21 of the second clamping piece 20 are adjacent to each other. This makes it possible to almost completely eliminate excess material that is wasted.

In this way, waste can be reduced, which contributes to SDG Goal 12, "Responsible Consumption and Production."

In addition, when the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are integrated, it is only necessary to join the base ends 12, 22, which have a smaller width dimension than the other parts, and as described above, the joining can be done with only two spot welding points. This makes it possible to simplify the joining process between the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 and to save energy. This leads to mitigating climate change and reducing its impact, and can also contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 13, "Take concrete measures to combat climate change."

Second Embodiment
A hair treatment tool 1 according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 5 to 7. In this embodiment, a hair treatment tool 1 used as a hair cutter will be described. Note that this embodiment is similar to the first embodiment except that the shapes of the tip portions 11 and 21 are changed. Therefore, only the differences from the first embodiment will be described.

As shown in Figures 5 to 7, in the hair treatment tool 1 of this embodiment, the tip portions 11, 21 are linear along the width direction. The width dimension W4 of the tip portions 11, 21 is 2.5 to 4 mm, preferably 3 mm. As shown in Figure 7, the tip portions 11, 21 are sharpened in the direction in which they approach each other, and the sharpened portions form the hair-cutting portions 11b, 21b. The hair-cutting portions 11b, 21b are aligned so that they come into linear contact with each other when the hair treatment tool 1 is pressed with a finger to bend the non-jointed portions 13, 23. Therefore, when using the hair treatment tool 1, hair can be pinched between the hair-cutting portions 11b, 21b and the pinched hair can be cut by increasing the pressure of the finger.

More specifically, the most distal end of the surface of the tip 11 of the first clamping piece 10 facing the tip 21 of the second clamping piece 20 protrudes the most. Similarly, the most distal end of the surface of the tip 21 of the second clamping piece 20 facing the tip 11 of the first clamping piece 10 protrudes the most. The angle of the hair cutting portion 11b, i.e., the angle between the end face of the tip 11 and the surface of the tip 11 facing the tip 21, is an acute angle, and the angle of the hair cutting portion 21b, i.e., the angle between the end face of the tip 21 and the surface of the tip 21 facing the tip 11, is an acute angle. In this way, the tip of each hair cutting portion 11b, 21b is sharply pointed, and when the hair treatment tool 1 is used, if a force is applied until the hair cutting portions 11b, 21b come into line contact with each other, the hair held by the hair cutting portions 11b, 21b can be easily cut.

In this way, the hair treatment tool 1 can also be used as a hair clipper. In that case, the structure can be the same as in the first embodiment, except for the shape of the tip portions 11 and 21. This allows the same effects as in the first embodiment to be obtained.

Other Embodiments
The present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be appropriately modified within the scope of the claims. In addition, in each of the above-described embodiments, it goes without saying that the elements constituting the embodiments are not necessarily essential, except when they are specifically stated as essential or when they are clearly considered essential in principle. In addition, in each of the above-described embodiments, when the numbers, values, amounts, ranges, etc. of the components of the embodiments are mentioned, they are not limited to the specific numbers, except when they are specifically stated as essential or when they are clearly limited to a specific number in principle. In addition, in each of the above-described embodiments, when the shapes, positional relationships, etc. of the components are mentioned, they are not limited to the shapes, positional relationships, etc., except when they are specifically stated or when they are clearly limited to a specific shape, positional relationship, etc. in principle.

For example, in each of the above embodiments, a suitable example of the dimensions of each part constituting the hair treating tool 1 is shown, but the dimensions do not necessarily have to be as described above.
In addition, in each of the above embodiments, the side surfaces on both sides of the center line C1 in the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 are linearly inclined with respect to the center line C1, but this is merely one example. For example, the width of the non-jointed parts 13, 23 may gradually increase from the most proximal end 12, 22 side to the bent parts 14, 24, and the width of the non-jointed parts 13, 23 may gradually decrease from the bent parts 14, 24 to the tip parts 11, 21. For this reason, the side surfaces on both sides of the center line C1 in the first clamping piece 10 and the second clamping piece 20 may be curved rather than linear.

In addition, in each of the above embodiments, the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 that make up the hair treatment tool 1 are formed by processing a flat metal plate, but this is merely one example. In other words, the widest parts of the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 are the bent parts 14, 24, and the vicinity of the bent parts 14, 24 only needs to be shaped so that they can be pressed directly with fingers, so the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 in the form of metal plates may be formed by casting using a molding die, for example. However, forming the pair of clamping pieces 10, 20 by processing a flat metal plate simplifies the manufacturing process and reduces the amount of wasted surplus material, which contributes to the achievement of goals 12 and 13 of the SDGs.
