Abstract

The invention relates to a holding device (50) for a mopping cloth (40) and to a mop (10) comprising such a holding device (50), said holding device (50) comprising: - a holding plate (12) having a first face (18), to which the mopping cloth (40) can be secured, and a second face (20), which lies opposite the first face (18) and has a securing element (14) to which a handle (16) can be secured, and - a first securing means (22), which is provided on the first face (18) of the holding plate (12), in order to reversibly releasably secure the mopping cloth (40) to the holding plate, and -second securing means (34, 36), which are provided on the second face (20) of the holding plate (12) and are designed to secure mopping cloth (40) end portions (30, 32) that are folded around a first edge (48) of the holding plate (12) from the first face (18) to the second face (20). The invention relates to a holding device for a wiping cloth, in particular a microfiber cloth, as well as a mop with such a holding plate according to the preamble of the independent patent claims.

Technological background

Numerous mopping systems are available for cleaning floors in apartments and houses. These typically consist of a fluid container for holding water mixed with cleaning agent, a mop with a mop cloth or mop elements attached to the mop, and a wringing element for the mop. To mop a floor, the mop is immersed in the water mixed with cleaning agent, dehumidified with the wringing element, and then the floor is cleaned with the residual moisture remaining in the mop cloth.

The disadvantage of this well-known mopping system, however, is that the mop is rinsed again in the water in the reservoir after cleaning, which causes the water to become dirty over time. This reduces cleaning performance. Furthermore, it is also disadvantageous from a hygienic point of view to immerse the mop in the water, which contains the dirt and contaminants it has picked up.

In order to achieve a good cleaning result with such a wiping system, the cleaning water must be changed frequently, which is not only time-consuming but also not particularly sustainable, since additional cleaning agent is required with each change of the cleaning water. Alternatively, with such a system, it may be necessary to replace the wiping cloth during a cleaning process because the wiping cloth becomes so dirty that sufficient cleaning performance is no longer achieved.

To secure the wiping cloth, mops are known in which pockets are formed on the wiping cloth and are received in a form-fitting manner at the end sections of the holding device. These pockets can also have a tensioning element, particularly in the form of a rubber band, to improve the fit of the wiping cloth on the holding device. Furthermore, wiping systems are known in which the wiping cloth is additionally secured to the holding device by a snap fastener to prevent the wiping cloth from slipping. However, with an increasing number of securing elements, the effort required to secure or change the wiping cloth increases. Furthermore, wiping systems are known in which the wiping cloth is secured to the holding device by a hook-and-loop fastener. A disadvantage of securing the wiping cloth using a hook-and-loop fastener, however, is that forces acting on the wiping cloth, particularly when wringing the cleaning cloth on the wringing element of the bucket or on rough surfaces, can cause the hook-and-loop fastener to come loose and the wiping cloth to shift relative to the holding device.

Summary of the invention

The object of the invention is to provide a holding device for a wiping cloth of a mop, which enables a simple and stable fixation of the wiping cloth and overcomes the problems known from the prior art.

The object is achieved by a holding device for a wiping cloth, which comprises a holding plate with a first side to which the wiping cloth can be secured, and a second side opposite the first side to which a mop handle can be secured. A first securing means is arranged on the first side to reversibly and detachably secure the wiping cloth to the holding plate. Furthermore, second securing means are arranged on the second side, which are designed to secure end portions of the wiping cloth that are folded over a first edge of the holding plate from the first side to the second side. The holding device according to the invention makes it possible to optimally tension a wiping cloth, in particular a microfiber wiping cloth, onto the holding plate, thus achieving the best possible cleaning performance. The fixing means on the top and bottom of the holding plate ensure that the wiping cloth is taut and does not become snagged while collecting cleaning water and/or cleaning agent from a mop bucket and/or when wringing out the wiping cloth after collecting the cleaning water and/or cleaning agent. This can increase the service life of the wiping cloth and ensure essentially constant cleaning performance throughout its service life.

The additional features listed in the dependent claims enable advantageous improvements and further developments of the holding device mentioned in the independent claim.

In an advantageous embodiment of the holding device, the holding plate is designed as a single piece and without joints. This allows for a particularly stable and durable holding plate. Furthermore, a single-piece holding plate can be particularly advantageously designed to absorb the force generated during wiping and wringing and distribute it evenly across the surface of the wiping cloth, enabling particularly even and reproducibly efficient wiping. Furthermore, the force can be evenly distributed when wringing out the wiping cloth, allowing excess moisture to be removed from the wiping cloth particularly easily and efficiently.

It is particularly preferred if the holding plate is designed as a metallic holding plate, in particular as a holding plate made of aluminum. A metallic holding plate has the advantage that it has a particularly high flexural rigidity and can therefore withstand the forces occurring when wiping and wringing out the cleaning cloth without any expected damage. A holding plate made of aluminum is particularly preferred because not only can a particularly light holding plate be made from aluminum with the same dimensions as other easily machined metals such as iron or copper, but such an aluminum holding plate is also chemically resistant to water, dirt and common cleaning agents, so that the The visual appearance changes only slightly over its service life, and in particular, no unsightly rust spots appear on the mounting plate. Furthermore, an aluminum mounting plate is comparatively easy and cost-effective to manufacture and process compared to other metal mounting plates.

As an alternative to an aluminum mounting plate, a metal mounting plate made of steel, particularly stainless steel, can also be used. The additional weight of the steel can be at least partially compensated for by a thinner mounting plate design or by additional recesses in the mounting plate.

Furthermore, the retaining plate can also be made of plastic, particularly fiber-reinforced plastic. Constructing the retaining plate from plastic enables particularly cost-effective production. Furthermore, plastics are generally resistant to detergent additives, allowing for a durable and stable retaining plate. Fiber reinforcement of a plastic retaining plate, particularly glass fiber or carbon fiber reinforcement, further increases the flexural rigidity of the retaining plate and can be used to absorb even greater forces, thereby further increasing the durability of the retaining plate.

In an advantageous embodiment of the holding plate, the first fastening means comprises a hook-and-loop fastener, with which the wiper can be secured to the holding plate. This allows for a particularly simple, quick, and reversibly detachable attachment of the wiper to the holding plate.

It is particularly preferred if the first fastening means comprise a hook-and-loop frame, which is formed circumferentially on the first side of the holding plate. A circumferential hook-and-loop frame enables particularly stable and secure fixation of the wipe. As an alternative to a circumferential hook-and-loop frame, the first fastening means can also comprise two or more parallel hook-and-loop strips extending along a long side of the holding plate. This also allows a simple, stable, and reversibly detachable connection to be established between the holding plate and a wipe. In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, two second fixing means are provided on the holding plate, each arranged in the end regions of the holding plate. This allows the end sections of the wiping cloth to be fixed to the second side of the holding plate facing away from the first side, thereby reducing the risk of the wiping cloth shifting or slipping off the first fixing means. Since strong shearing forces act on the wiping cloth, in particular when wiping or wringing out the wiping cloth, the risk of the wiping cloth becoming detached from the holding plate during such a process is particularly high. Therefore, additional fixing on the second side facing away from the floor during wiping is particularly helpful in securing the wiping cloth stably and reliably.

It is particularly preferred if the second fastening means each comprise a second hook-and-loop fastener and a tensioning element for securing the respective end section of the wipe. This allows for particularly stable fixation. While the second hook-and-loop fastener primarily serves to position the wipe, the tensioning elements then hold the wipe firmly in place, thus preventing it from slipping when cleaning with the wipe or when wringing the wipe in the bucket.

In an advantageous embodiment of the holding device, grooves are formed on the second side of the holding plate. The grooves allow a simple and cost-effective guide to be created, with which the holding plate is guided to a device for wringing out the wiping cloth. This ensures particularly easy and even wringing of the wiping cloth, thus improving the cleaning result.

It is particularly preferred if insert elements, in particular insert elements made of a plastic, are arranged in the grooves of the retaining plate, which facilitate the rolling or sliding of the retaining plate against a counter-body for wringing out the wipe. The insert elements minimize friction, allowing the plate to slide or roll off a device for wringing out the wipe with particularly low friction. In a further advantageous embodiment of the holding element, a receiving element is formed on the fastening element, to which a handle can be fixed in a force-fitting and/or form-fitting manner. This enables particularly stable fixation of the handle to the holding plate. The fastening element comprises a joint, preferably a ball joint, between its connection to the holding plate and the receiving element in order to be able to achieve the largest possible radius of movement for the mop. The receiving element enables particularly stable and reliable fixation of the handle to the holding device. Alternatively, it is possible to provide a ball joint in the handle and screw the end of the handle directly into the holding plate. This simplifies the manufacture of the holding plate because an additional fastening element is possible and the thread for the handle represents the fastening element in this embodiment.

A further aspect of the invention relates to a mop with a holding device as described in the preceding sections, as well as a handle of the mop which can be fastened or is fastened to the holding device.

In an advantageous embodiment of the mop, the mop further comprises a wiping cloth that is or can be received on the holding plate. With such a mop, the fibers of the wiping cloth can be optimally stretched onto the holding device. In order to ensure the highest possible hygiene for the wiping cloth, it is advantageously provided that the wiping cloth is washable in a washing machine at high temperatures, in particular at temperatures of 60° or more. Such a washing process can lead to the wiping cloth shrinking and thus no longer fitting optimally on holding devices known from the prior art. With a mop according to the invention, such shrinkage can be compensated for by the second fixing element on the second side of the holding plate, so that the wiping cloth is always held on the holding device with optimal tension. This enables a particularly good cleaning result, which is not impaired even by shrinkage of the wiping cloth. In an advantageous embodiment of the mop, the cleaning cloth is designed as a microfiber cloth. A microfiber cloth enables particularly efficient cleaning of floors, especially tiles, parquet, laminate, or linoleum.

In principle, the holding plate is designed to accommodate wipes of different materials and thicknesses in order to be able to attach the optimal wipe to the holder to suit the floor to be cleaned.

In a preferred embodiment of the mop, the wiping cloth is designed to be free of wiping fibers in its end sections. To improve the reception of the end sections of the wiping cloth on the second fixing elements on the second side of the holding plate, the wiping cloth is designed to be free of wiping fibers in the area of the end sections. As a result, the wiping cloth is thinner in these areas, which simplifies reception on the second fixing elements on the top side of the holding plate.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the mop, the wiping cloth has a greater width than the holding plate in an area facing the first side of the holding plate and has a draw-in area at each end section, wherein the width of the wiping cloth in the draw-in area is smaller than the width of the holding plate. The greater width in the area facing the holding plate enables a particularly good wiping effect. In addition, scratches on scratch-sensitive surfaces are avoided, as the edges of the holding plate are covered by the lateral projection of the wiping cloth, thus minimizing the risk of scratching. The draw-in in the end sections enables particularly simple and stable attachment to the second fixing elements. The second fixing elements, in particular tensioning elements, can also grip the end sections of the wiping cloth from the outside, thereby enabling even more stable fixation of the wiping cloth.

In an advantageous embodiment of the mop, it is provided that a receiving element is formed on the fastening element on the holding plate, in which the The handle is held in place with either a force-fitting or form-fitting connection. This makes it particularly easy to attach the handle to the mop's mounting plate.

It is particularly preferred if a first connecting element is formed on a first end of the handle facing the holding plate, which first connecting element is connectable or connected to a second connecting element formed on the receiving element.

In a preferred embodiment of the mop, one of the connecting elements has an internal thread and the other connecting element has an external thread. It is preferred if the handle has an external thread and the receiving element has an external thread, into which the internal thread of the handle is screwed.

As an alternative to fixing via a thread, the handle can also be attached to the fastening element of the holding plate using a bayonet lock or in another suitable manner.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the stem and the receiving element are connected to one another by a snap connection or locking connection, whereby a positive connection is established by the stem snapping or locking into the receiving element. Such a connection can be established, in particular, by a spring-loaded snap connection or locking connection, in which the stem engages positively in the receiving element and can be released again by pressing on a locking element.

Detailed description of the invention

Figure 1 shows a preferred embodiment of a holding device 50 for a wiping cloth 40. The holding device 50 comprises a holding plate 12 with a first side 18, to which the wiping cloth 40 can be fixed. The first side 18 can also be referred to as the bottom side or underside of the holding plate 12. The holding plate 12 further has a second side 20 opposite the first side 18, on which a fastening element 14 for fastening a handle 16 of a mop 10 to the holding plate 12 is arranged. For this purpose, a receiving element 64 with a joint for receiving one end of the handle 16 is formed on the fastening element 14. The second side 20 can also be referred to as the top side of the holding plate. A first fixing means 22 is arranged on the first side 18 in order to reversibly and detachably fix the wiping cloth 40 to the holding plate 12. The first fixing means 22 comprises, in particular, a first hook-and-loop fastener 24 for securing the wiping cloth 40 to the first side 18 of the holding plate 12. The first hook-and-loop fastener 24 can, in particular, comprise two or more parallel hook-and-loop strips 26, 28 or a hook-and-loop fastener extending circumferentially around the holding plate 12 in order to enable the most stable possible fixation of the wiping cloth 40.

On the second side 20 of the holding plate 12, at least one second fixing means 34, preferably two second fixing means 34, 36 are arranged, which are designed to fix end sections 30, 32 of the wiping cloth 40, which are wrapped around a first edge 48 of the holding plate 12 from the first side 18 to the second side 20. The second fixing means 34, 36 each comprise, in particular, a second hook-and-loop fastener 66 and a tensioning element 38, 39, which are arranged at the end regions 52, 54 of the holding plate 12. The tensioning elements 38, 39 each comprise a hinge 60 and a flap 62, which engages in the holding plate 12.

In Figure 1, the holding device 50 is shown in a closed state, in which the wiping cloth 40 is received on the holding plate 12 and held in place by the clamping elements 38, 39. Curvatures 68 are formed on the clamping elements 38, 39 to allow the clamping elements 38, 39 to be easily released again.

The holding plate 12 has a long side 46 and a short side 44. A first edge 48 is formed on the short side 44, over which the wiping cloth is guided from the first side 18 of the holding plate 12 to the second side 20. A second edge 49 is formed on the long side 46, at which the wiping cloth 40 protrudes laterally beyond the first side 18 of the holding plate 12.

On the second side 20 of the holding plate 12, grooves 70 are formed, in which insert elements 56 in the form of plastic strips 58 are inserted in order to assist the sliding or rolling of the holding plate 12 when the wiping cloth is wringed out on a corresponding device on a mop bucket and to minimize friction in this area.

The second fixing means 34, 36 and the insert elements 56 are preferably reversibly detachably attached to the holding plate 12, for example by a screw connection, in order to enable replacement of the elements 34, 36, 56, in order to be able to replace the individual element 34, 36, 56 in the event of damage and to avoid having to replace the entire holding device.

In Figure 2, the holding device 50 is shown in an open state. It can be seen that the wipe 40 has a feed area 72 in its end sections 30, 32, in which the wipe 40 has a smaller width. Furthermore, the End sections 30, 32 of the wiping cloth 40 are designed to be free of wiping fibers in order to enable easy fixing to the second fixing elements 34, 36.

Figure 3 shows an end region 52 of a holding device 50 according to the invention for a mop 10 with an open tensioning element 38. This shows how the wiping cloth 40 is secured to the holding plate 12. For securing, the end section 30 of the wiping cloth 40 is folded over the first edge 48 on the holding plate 12, attached to a second hook-and-loop fastener 66 on the second side 20 of the holding plate 12, and secured by the tensioning element 38. Furthermore, Figure 3 shows that the wiping cloth 40 has a recess 72 in its end section 30, in which the width of the wiping cloth 40 is reduced compared to the remaining width of the wiping cloth 40. The recess region is also designed to be free of wiping fibers in order to reduce the thickness of the wiping cloth 40 in the end section 30 and thus facilitate securing it to the tensioning element 38.

Figure 4 shows a schematic representation of a holding plate 12 of a holding device 50 according to the invention. It can be seen that first fixing means 22 in the form of a first hook-and-loop fastener 24 are arranged on the first side 18 of the holding plate 12 facing the floor during wiping, in order to be able to fix the wiping cloth 40 to the holding plate 12. The first fixing means 22 have, in particular, two hook-and-loop strips 26, 28, which run parallel along the long side 46 of the holding plate 12 in order to fix the wiping cloth 40 over the longest possible distance. Alternatively, the first fixing means can also be designed as a frame made of hook-and-loop material surrounding the first side 18 of the holding plate 12 or as a solid surface made of hook-and-loop material. Second fixing means 34, 36 are formed on the second side 20 of the holding plate 12, each comprising a clamping element 38, 39 for receiving and force-locking the wiping cloth 40 after it has been folded around the first edge 48. This ensures that the wiping cloth 40 is reliably fixed to the holding plate 12 even under higher shear forces, which arise particularly when wringing out or wiping the wiping cloth 40 in the mop bucket.

Patent claims 1. A holding device (50) for a wiping cloth (40), comprising: a holding plate (12) with a first side (18) to which the wiping cloth (40) can be fixed, and a second side (20) opposite the first side (18) and having a fastening element (14) to which a handle (16) can be fixed, a first fixing means (22) arranged on the first side (18) of the holding plate (12) for reversibly releasably fixing the wiping cloth (40) to the holding plate (12), and second fixing means (34, 36) arranged on the second side (20) of the holding plate (12) and configured to fix end sections (30, 32) of the wiping cloth (40) which are folded over a first edge (48) of the holding plate (12) from the first side (18) to the second side (20). 2.
