Description

Pacemaker compression and stabilization support

The present invention relates to a support for compressing and stabilizing a pacemaker, and more specifically, to a pacemaker compression and stabilization support, which includes a compression fixing part that is in close contact with a wound site where a pacemaker is inserted into a body, a first fixing belt having one end connected to the compression fixing part and the other end connected to the compression fixing part through a patient's shoulder and the opposite armpit, and a second fixing belt having one end connected to the compression fixing part and the other end connected to the other end through a patient's armpit and the opposite armpit, thereby stabilizing a pacemaker inserted into a body and enabling the pacemaker to stably perform its function at the inserted location.

The heart consists of two atria and two ventricles, and is connected to four blood vessels, including the aorta, vena cava, pulmonary artery, and pulmonary vein, to serve as a passage for blood movement.

The heart is divided into the right atrium and right ventricle on one side and the left atrium and left ventricle on the other, based on the interventricular septum in the center. The tricuspid valve exists between the right atrium and right ventricle, and the mitral valve exists between the left atrium and left ventricle.

As the heart repeatedly contracts and relaxes, it acts as a pump, forcing blood through the blood vessels. During systole, blood within the heart advances through the blood vessels. In the right heart, blood flows from the right ventricle to the pulmonary artery, and in the left heart, from the left ventricle to the aorta.

However, if the membrane between the atrium and ventricle does not function properly, blood in the ventricles will flow backward during the heart's systole. When the tricuspid valve between the right atrium and right ventricle does not function properly, causing blood to flow backward from the right ventricle into the right atrium, this is called "tricuspid regurgitation." When the mitral valve between the left atrium and left ventricle does not function properly, causing blood to flow backward from the left ventricle into the left atrium, this is called "mitral regurgitation."

Tricuspid regurgitation usually occurs in patients with mitral regurgitation, and in patients with heart valve disease, it can cause atrial fibrillation, arrhythmia, and heart failure as heart function declines, which can be treated by implanting a pacemaker.

In relation to the above, since the first artificial pacemaker was introduced by Furman and Robinson in 1958, pacemakers have been used as a primary treatment for patients with bradycardia. Recently, artificial pacemakers have been used as a primary treatment for arrhythmia diseases such as complete atrioventricular block, severe atrioventricular block, and symptomatic sinus syndrome. Pacemaker therapy is a treatment method that artificially generates electrical impulses through an artificial pacemaker when the electrical impulses in the heart cannot flow normally.

To explain further, the pacemaker is fixed to the muscle layer by making an incision in the skin, and the fixed position must be maintained during the procedure until the incised skin wound heals, so that the main body and delivery tube do not move and the function of the heartbeat can be stably implemented.

To do this, the pacemaker should be fixed by rolling up a soft gauze about the size of two adult fists and placing it on top of the skin incision to secure it in place after the procedure, then wrapping an elastic bandage around the gauze and between the shoulder, arm, and armpit to secure it in place for about three weeks or more.

However, the method of fixing the pacemaker using gauze and elastic bandages as described above is done manually by medical staff, causing a lot of discomfort and anxiety about stability in patients, and there are many difficulties in the process of managing the patient after the treatment by medical staff, i.e., wrapping and removing the elastic bandage.

The present invention is a technology devised to solve the problems of the above-described prior art, and the conventional method of fixing a pacemaker using gauze and an elastic bandage causes a lot of inconvenience and instability to patients, and causes a lot of difficulty to medical staff in the process of managing after treatment. Therefore, the main purpose of the present invention is to provide a pacemaker compression and stabilization support that stably compresses the affected area where the pacemaker is inserted into the body through a compression fixing part that is in close contact with the affected area where the pacemaker is inserted into the body, a first fixing belt having one end connected to the compression fixing part and the other end connected to the compression fixing part through the patient's shoulder and armpit, and a second fixing belt having one end connected to the compression fixing part and the other end connected to the one end through the patient's both armpits, thereby fixing and positioning the pacemaker inserted into the body at the inserted position, thereby stably implementing the function of the pacemaker.

At this time, the fixed member (120) is configured to include a through hole (121) formed in a shape corresponding to the outer circumference of the fastening member (112), and the inner circumference of the through hole (121) and the outer circumference of the guide groove (112a) are in close contact, so that the fastening member (112) is stably raised and lowered by the rotation of the rotating member (130), and accordingly, the pressing member (110) is raised and lowered together, so that the pressing force can be adjusted.

In addition, the above guide home (112a) is configured to include an indicator mark (112a-1) formed on the outer periphery, and the indicator mark (112a-1) allows the protrusion length of the fastening member (112) to be confirmed by protruding through the fixing member (120).

In addition, the above-mentioned indicator scale (112a-1) can be adjusted to a protrusion length similar to the protrusion length of the previous fastening member (112) when re-wearing the support of the present invention, thereby enabling the skin incision to be pressed with a similar compressive force as when the support of the present invention was previously worn, thereby realizing the effect of providing the most comfortable and stable compressive force to the patient.

Meanwhile, the pressure member (110) may be configured to include a first buffer member (116) made of a synthetic resin material having elasticity that is attached and combined to the lower surface and is in close contact with the skin incision site. The first buffer member (116) may be made of a synthetic resin material having elasticity, such as silicone or rubber, for example, and is in close contact with the skin incision site so that the pressure force by the pressure member (110) can be evenly applied to the entire skin incision site.

In addition, the first buffer member (116) is configured to include a buffer groove (116a) formed on the lower surface, and the buffer groove (116a) is formed in the shape of a dimple of a golf ball, and as the skin incision site, i.e., the affected area, is pressed, the lower surface of the first buffer member (116) is pressed outward and inward, thereby expanding the area, so that the affected area can be pressed more evenly and stably, and is positioned at the center of the skin incision site so that the compressive force at the center of the skin incision site can be applied weakly compared to the overall compressive force, so that the skin incision site can be protected.

At this time, it is preferable that the first buffer member (116) be formed with the same diameter as the diameter of the pressure member (110) when the second buffer member (118), which will be described in detail later, is not attached to the lower surface of the pressure member (110) and is not combined.

In connection with the above, the pressure member (110) is configured to include a plurality of second buffer members (118) that are attached and combined to the lower surface, but are positioned on the outside of the first buffer member (116), that is, arranged and combined around the periphery of the first buffer member (116).

Accordingly, the first buffer member (116) is formed to have a diameter smaller than the diameter of the pressing member (110) so that the second buffer member (118) can be attached to and combined with the lower surface of the pressing member (110).

The second buffer member (118) is combined with the lower surface of the compression member (110) so that a perimeter spaced apart from the center of the skin incision is compressed, and a plurality of members are arranged in a circular shape, thereby achieving the effect of stopping bleeding in the damaged blood vessels of the skin incision and allowing the damaged blood vessels to recover smoothly.

At this time, the lower part of the second buffer member (118) is formed in a curved shape to achieve the effect of allowing the damaged blood vessels of the skin incision site to be naturally and stably stopped from bleeding.

In addition, the reason why the second buffer member (118) is composed of multiple pieces and spaced apart is to ensure smooth blood circulation in unbroken blood vessels and stable recovery of the affected area.

That is, when the pacemaker has been inserted into the body for less than a reference date (approximately 3 to 5 days), that is, when the blood vessel around the skin incision is damaged, the medical staff can use the compression member (110) to which the second buffer member (118) is attached and combined to compress and stabilize the pacemaker, and when the pacemaker has been inserted into the body for more than a reference date, that is, when the blood vessel around the skin incision is damaged and ruptured, the medical staff can use the compression member (110) to which only the first buffer member (116) is attached and combined to compress the pacemaker more stably and firmly.

The above fixing member (120) is formed with a through hole (121) as described above so that the fastening member (112) of the pressure member (110) can be raised and lowered, and one end of a first fixing belt (200) to be described in detail later is coupled to the front, and the other end of the first fixing belt (200) is coupled to the other side, while one end of a second fixing belt (300) to be described in detail later is coupled to the rear, so that the pressure fixing member (100) of the present invention is stably positioned on the upper surface of the skin incision formed at the location where the pacemaker is inserted by the first fixing belt (200) and the second fixing belt (300).

In addition, the fixing member (120) is installed so that the fastening member (112) can be raised and lowered, thereby allowing the pressure force by the pressure member (110) to be adjusted even when the support of the present invention is worn by a patient.

The above-mentioned rotating member (130) is rotatably coupled to the upper portion of the above-mentioned fixed member (120), and has screw threads formed on the inner circumference corresponding to the screw threads formed on the outer circumference of the above-mentioned fastening member (112), so that the above-mentioned fastening member (112) is raised and lowered as it is fastened to the above-mentioned fastening member (112) and rotated.

That is, since the rotating member (130) is rotatably connected to the upper portion of the fixed member (120), it does not rise and fall when rotated, so that the fastening member (112) is raised and lowered by rotation, and medical staff or patients can easily adjust the pressure by rotating the rotating member (130).

At this time, the rotating member (130) may be configured to include a plurality of grip grooves (not shown in the drawing) formed on the outer periphery, and an effect of allowing medical staff or patients to easily rotate the member can be obtained through the grip grooves.

In addition, the above-mentioned rotating member (130) may be configured to include at least one pair of gripping projections (not shown in the drawing) that are formed protrudingly on the outer periphery, and the gripping projections, together with the gripping groove, realize the effect of allowing medical staff or patients to more easily rotate the above-mentioned rotating member (130).

In connection with the above, a structure in which the rotating member (130) is rotatably coupled to the fixed member (120) will be described.
