Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an absorbent article with a natural cotton mesh, comprising: a natural cotton layer formed in a mesh shape to come into contact with the skin of a wearer and to allow body fluid (secretion) to pass through; an absorbent layer having upper non-woven fabric and lower non-woven fabric formed on the upper and lower surfaces, and in which the body fluid passing through the natural cotton layer is absorbed and retained; a liquid-impermeable back sheet for preventing the body fluid from leaking out from the absorbent layer; first and second elastic bands formed on the left and right edges to have elasticity when worn by the wearer; and a fixing means for removably fixing the absorbent article to the wearer; wherein the absorbent layer includes a superabsorbent material and an odor-removing material.

Description

Absorbent products with natural cotton mesh

The present disclosure relates to an absorbent article, and more specifically, to an absorbent article having a natural cotton mesh for use as a sanitary napkin, a disposable diaper for infants or incontinent persons, or a diaper for pets.

In general, disposable absorbent products that absorb body fluids are products that absorb body fluids such as urine, menstrual blood, and secretions excreted/secreted by various physiological functions of the wearer, and provide hygiene and convenience to the wearer. Examples of these products include disposable diapers for infants or incontinent people, sanitary napkins for women, and panty liners.

Although not shown in the drawing, the disposable absorbent product includes a liquid-permeable upper sheet (typically made of synthetic nonwoven fabric) that comes into contact with the wearer's skin, an absorbent core (typically made of fluff pulp, superabsorbent resin, etc.) that absorbs and retains body fluid (secretion) passing through the upper sheet, and a liquid-impermeable back sheet (typically made of a waterproof sheet made of polyethylene film material) that prevents body fluid from leaking to the outside, and includes a conventional fastening means so that the product can be removably fixed to the wearer.

Disposable absorbent products have been developed into ultra-thin forms with increased absorbent capacity and thinner thickness to absorb the wearer's body fluids at a rapid rate and provide comfort during use.

Accordingly, it has become possible to wear disposable body fluid absorbent products for relatively long periods of time.

On the other hand, if disposable absorbent products are worn for a long time, the skin becomes irritated by moisture and heat from secretions, and ventilation is reduced, which can cause adverse skin side effects such as rashes on the skin of newborns and infants who are sensitive to irritation.

These skin side effects are greatly affected by the chemical components contained in the material. In particular, the upper sheet has the largest surface area in contact with the wearer's skin, and when the contact surface with the skin is formed with synthetic materials, the hydrophobic properties of the synthetic materials need to be converted to hydrophilic properties, and the hydrophilic emulsion used in this process is composed of surfactants that are harmful when in contact with the skin.

A disposable absorbent product using natural cotton is registered in the Republic of Korea Patent Publication No. 10-0860099 (September 25, 2008).

The technical problem of the present disclosure is to provide an absorbent article equipped with a natural cotton mesh, which has excellent wearing comfort (touch) when natural cotton comes into contact with the skin of a wearer or a pet, and has a mesh structure that allows smooth ventilation, thereby preventing the skin of the wearer or pet from being irritated or inflamed by secretions, thereby keeping the skin clean.

Another technical problem of the present disclosure is to provide an absorbent article having a natural cotton mesh that can prevent body fluids (urine, menstrual blood, secretions, etc.) of a wearer or a pet from leaking from the absorbent article by means of wing-shaped side gathers formed to face the side.

The present disclosure provides an absorbent article equipped with a natural cotton mesh, in one embodiment, comprising: a natural cotton layer formed in a mesh shape to come into contact with the skin of a wearer and allow body fluid (secretion) to pass through; an absorbent layer having upper non-woven fabric and lower non-woven fabric formed on the upper and lower surfaces, in which body fluid passing through the natural cotton layer is absorbed and retained; a liquid-impermeable back sheet for preventing body fluid from leaking out from the absorbent layer; first and second elastic bands formed on the left and right edges to have elasticity when worn by the wearer; and a fixing means for removably fixing the absorbent article to the wearer, wherein the absorbent layer comprises a superabsorbent material.

The present disclosure, in one embodiment, provides an absorbent article equipped with a natural cotton mesh, the absorbent article including a natural cotton layer formed in a mesh shape to come into contact with the skin of a wearer and allow body fluid (secretion) to pass through, an absorbent layer having upper non-woven fabric and lower non-woven fabric formed on the upper and lower surfaces, the absorbent layer absorbing and retaining body fluid passing through the natural cotton layer, a liquid-impermeable back sheet to prevent body fluid from leaking out from the absorbent layer, first and second elastic bands formed on the left and right edges to have elasticity when worn by the wearer, and a fixing means for removably fixing the absorbent article to the wearer, wherein the absorbent layer includes a superabsorbent material and a odor removing material.

Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings attached to the present disclosure. First, it should be noted that among the drawings, the same components or parts are indicated by the same reference numerals as much as possible. In describing the present disclosure, a specific description of related known functions or configurations is omitted in order to avoid obscuring the gist of the present disclosure.

The terms "about," "substantially," etc., used in this disclosure are used in a meaning that is at or close to a numerical value when manufacturing and material tolerances inherent in the meanings mentioned are presented, and are used to prevent unscrupulous infringers from unfairly utilizing the disclosure contents that are mentioned in exact or absolute values to aid understanding of this disclosure.

Hereinafter, an absorbent article equipped with a natural cotton mesh according to a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

An absorbent article equipped with a natural cotton mesh according to a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure is applied to an absorbent article equipped with a natural cotton mesh, and is formed in a mesh shape so that body fluid (for example, urine, menstrual blood, secretions, etc.) can pass through a natural cotton layer (10) that comes into contact with the skin of a wearer or a pet (for example, natural cotton, natural silk, wool, etc. can be used, but it is not meant to be limited thereto), an upper nonwoven fabric (20) and a lower nonwoven fabric (30) are formed on the upper and lower surfaces, and a conventional absorbent layer (40) in which body fluid passing through the natural cotton layer (10) is absorbed and retained (for example, a fibrous web or a conventional fluff pulp in the form of particles obtained by pulverizing wood pulp can be used, but it is not meant to be limited thereto), a liquid-impermeable back sheet (50) for preventing body fluid from leaking out from the absorbent layer (40), and an absorbent article (A) that is attached to the wearer or a pet. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, when an absorbent article (A) equipped with a natural cotton mesh is worn by a woman, infant, or pet during her menstrual period using the first and second Velcro tapes (60, 70), secretions (body fluids) discharged from the wearer or the pet are absorbed into the natural cotton material of the mesh-shaped natural cotton layer (10), and most of the urine, menstrual blood, etc. passing through the natural cotton layer (10) are absorbed into the absorbent layer (40).

At this time, it goes without saying that the conventional fixing means (for example, a Velcro tape may be used, but this does not mean to be limited thereto) for removably fixing the absorbent article (A) to the wearer or the pet may be modified in various ways depending on the type of absorbent article (A) worn by the wearer or the pet.

That is, when the absorbent product (A) is used as a feminine sanitary pad, panty liner, infant diaper, disposable diaper worn by an incontinent person, or diaper for a pet, the fixing means can usually be changed in various ways.

The aforementioned natural cotton layer (10) can be formed in a mesh shape so that the secretions of the wearer or pet can be quickly moved to the absorbent layer (40).

The absorbent layer (40) may further include a superabsorbent material.

Superabsorbent materials are known to those skilled in the art and can be present in any operational form, for example in the form of particles, fibers and mixtures thereof. Typically, the superabsorbent material will be a water-swellable, generally water-insoluble, hydrogel-forming polymeric absorbent material capable of absorbing at least about 15 times its weight in physiological saline (for example saline having 0.9 wt% NaCl), suitably about 30 times and possibly more than about 60 times its weight in water. The superabsorbent material may be biodegradable or amphoteric. The hydrogel-forming polymeric absorbent material may be formed from organic hydrogel-forming polymeric materials, which may include natural materials, such as agar, pectin and guar gum; modified natural materials, such as carboxymethyl cellulose, carboxyethyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose; and synthetic hydrogel-forming polymers. Synthetic hydrogel-forming polymers include, for example, alkali metal salts of polyacrylic acid, polyacrylamides, polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene maleic anhydride copolymers, polyvinyl ethers, polyvinyl morpholinones, polymers and copolymers of vinyl sulfonic acid, polyacrylates, polyacrylamides, polyvinyl pyridines, and the like. Other suitable hydrogel-forming polymers include hydrolyzed acrylonitrile grafted starches, acrylic acid grafted starches, and isobutylene maleic anhydride copolymers, and mixtures thereof. The hydrogel-forming polymers may be lightly crosslinked to render the material substantially water insoluble.

The odor removing agent can act on an odorous substance generated from an odor or an absorbent article (A) to reduce the odor. The odor removing agent can be at least one selected from the group consisting of silica gel, aldehyde, mesoporous zeolite, and mixtures thereof, and can be specifically mesoporous zeolite.

The absorbent layer (40) may contain 1 to 10 wt% of a superabsorbent material and an odor removing material, respectively, based on 100 wt% of the absorbent layer (40).

As shown in Fig. 3, a waterproof coating layer (10a, 10b) is formed on the upper and lower surfaces of a natural cotton layer (10), and a perforation (10c) is formed on the natural cotton layer (10) and the waterproof coating layer (10a, 10b), so that body fluid secreted on the natural cotton layer (10) moves to an absorbent layer (40) along the perforation (10c).

Due to this, when the body fluid (secretion) of the wearer or pet wearing the aforementioned absorbent product (A) is secreted on the natural cotton layer (10), the body fluid moves to the absorbent layer (40) along the perforations (10c) of the waterproof coating layer (10a) formed on the upper surface of the natural cotton layer (10).

Accordingly, the surface (upper surface) of the natural cotton layer (10) on which the waterproof coating layer (10a) is formed is maintained in a fluffy, dry state, thereby preventing the skin of the wearer or pet from being chafed by body fluids.

The natural cotton layer (10) comes into contact with the largest surface area of the wearer's or pet's skin, providing a soft feel, and before urination, it maintains the skin's moisture balance to enhance the skin protection effect, and after urination, secretions are quickly discharged due to its high absorbency, so even when it cannot be changed frequently, it protects the wearer's or pet's skin from moisture and heat, preventing skin adverse effects.

That is, the body fluid that has passed through the natural cotton layer (10) passes through the normal upper non-woven fabric (20) formed on the upper surface of the absorbent layer (40) and moves to the pulp material of the absorbent layer (40) and is absorbed.

At this time, when body fluid is absorbed into the pulp of the absorbent layer (40), the absorbent layer (40) can be prevented from forming lumps or clumps by the upper nonwoven fabric (20) and the lower nonwoven fabric (30) formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the absorbent layer (40).

At this time, although not shown in the drawing, the upper nonwoven fabric (20) described above may be formed on the underside of the natural cotton layer (10), and the lower nonwoven fabric (30) may be formed on the upper surface of the back sheet (50).

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, it is characterized by including wing-shaped side gathers (100) formed on the left and right edges of the aforementioned natural cotton layer (10) to prevent body fluid secreted by the wearer or pet into the natural cotton layer (10) from leaking out.

Due to this, when a woman wearing an absorbent product (A) is walking or exercising, body fluids such as menstrual blood are prevented from leaking to the outside by the wing-shaped side gathers (100), thereby preventing pants, etc. from being contaminated with body fluids.

It is characterized by including a conventional urine line (110) formed on one side of the bottom surface of the aforementioned back sheet (50).

At this time, the technical content that allows the health of the wearer or pet to be checked by the color of the urine line (110) when body fluids such as urine discharged from the wearer or pet are absorbed into the absorbent article and come into contact with the urine line (110) on the bottom is commonly used in the technical field to which the present disclosure belongs, so a detailed description of its configuration and function is omitted.

The above-mentioned natural cotton layer (10) is characterized by containing an antibacterial inorganic substance or a natural plant-based antibacterial substance to have an antibacterial/sterilizing effect.

As an example, the antibacterial inorganic material may be at least one selected from the group consisting of loess, jade, zeolite, and loess zirconia, and the natural plant-based antibacterial material may be at least one selected from the group consisting of extracts of mugwort, green tea, pomegranate, soybean, and mugwort.

The back sheet (50) described above prevents secretions (body fluids) absorbed and retained in the absorbent layer (40) from leaking to the outside through the lower non-woven fabric (30) of the absorbent layer (40), thereby preventing the clothing of the wearer of the absorbent article (A) or the surrounding environment from being contaminated.

At this time, the back sheet (50) can typically be a waterproof sheet made of polyethylene film material that is liquid impermeable and gas permeable.

As shown in Fig. 4, the absorbent article (A) described above may include a conventional non-woven fabric (50a) formed on the underside of the back sheet (50) to provide softness when worn.

In addition, the nonwoven fabric may include an fragrant plant extract, and the fragrant plant extract may be extracted with one or more solvents selected from the group consisting of water, lower alcohols having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, 1,3-butylene glycol, and ethyl acetate, and the pulverized fragrant plant may be a residue obtained by drying the pulverized fragrant plant after extracting it with a solvent.

Aromatic plant extracts can be prepared by extracting aromatic plants one or more times using a solvent to prepare a solvent extract of an aromatic plant, and the solvent extract can be prepared as a dried extract by hot air drying, vacuum distillation, and then freeze-drying or spray drying. For example, a pulverized aromatic plant can be prepared by adding a solvent in an amount of 5 to 30 times the dry weight, heating the resultant in an extractor equipped with a cooler at 92 to 100° C. for 1 to 5 hours, and then filtering the resultant with a filter cloth to obtain a solvent extract. By repeating the above process for the solvent extract, a solvent extract extracted twice or more can be prepared.

Aromatic plants include, but are not limited to, so-called herbal medicines such as angelica tree, peppermint, three hundred and ten-kiln herb, motherwort, houttuynia cordata, lacquer, green tea, chrysanthemum, mugwort, and angelica, as well as fruits such as coffee.

The technical content of bonding the back sheet (50) formed on the bottom surface of the absorbent layer (40) forming the aforementioned absorbent article (A), the nonwoven fabric (50a) formed on the bottom surface of the back sheet (50), and the natural cotton layer (10) formed on the top surface of the drainage sheet (50) by conventional heat fusing or high-temperature melt adhesive, etc., is used by those skilled in the art in the art to which the present disclosure belongs, and therefore, a detailed description of the working method thereof will be omitted.

An absorbent article equipped with a natural cotton mesh according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be used as a sanitary napkin or panty liner for women, a disposable diaper for infants or incontinent persons, or as a diaper for pets.
