Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a powder detergent composition.
  • Household cleaners are used in various places and situations in the living environment, and therefore the dirt they are used to remove varies widely from dirt that is easy to remove, such as dust and food spills, to dirt that is very difficult to remove, such as denatured oil dirt.
  • strong alkaline cleaning properties are required for denatured oil dirt in the kitchen, while for floors with dirt that has a small dirt load, a cleaner that has a lower surfactant concentration and does not leave an unpleasant feeling such as sliminess or foam residue is required, and it is not easy to satisfy all of these versatile usability requirements.
  • Hand washing is suitable for cleaning not only the overall dirt attached to the fibers, but also for cleaning difficult-to-remove dirt, for example, organic dirt such as sebum dirt attached to collars and inorganic dirt such as mud attached to socks.
  • many workers wash textile products using detergent, for example, a cleaning solution obtained by dissolving powder detergent in water, but in addition to high cleaning power, workers are also required to have a slippery feeling on the clothes that makes it easy to rub them by hand or wash them with a brush, that is, a clean feeling.
  • rinsing property foam-eliminating property during rinsing, it is also required that there is no unpleasant feeling such as sliminess, as with hard surfaces.

Description

Powder detergent composition

The present invention relates to a powder detergent composition.

Background Art Household cleaners are used in various places and situations in the living environment, and therefore the dirt they are used to remove varies widely from dirt that is easy to remove, such as dust and food spills, to dirt that is very difficult to remove, such as denatured oil dirt. For example, strong alkaline cleaning properties are required for denatured oil dirt in the kitchen, while for floors with dirt that has a small dirt load, a cleaner that has a lower surfactant concentration and does not leave an unpleasant feeling such as sliminess or foam residue is required, and it is not easy to satisfy all of these versatile usability requirements. In addition, there are two main types of cleaning methods for textile products such as clothing: hand washing and machine washing using a washing machine. In recent years, the popularity of washing machines in Asian regions has been increasing, but hand washing is widely used due to cleaning power, economic efficiency, cultural background, laundry awareness, etc. Hand washing is suitable for cleaning not only the overall dirt attached to the fibers, but also for cleaning difficult-to-remove dirt, for example, organic dirt such as sebum dirt attached to collars and inorganic dirt such as mud attached to socks. In hand washing, many workers wash textile products using detergent, for example, a cleaning solution obtained by dissolving powder detergent in water, but in addition to high cleaning power, workers are also required to have a slippery feeling on the clothes that makes it easy to rub them by hand or wash them with a brush, that is, a clean feeling. In addition to the foam-eliminating property (= rinsing property) during rinsing, it is also required that there is no unpleasant feeling such as sliminess, as with hard surfaces.

As described above, for both hard surfaces and textile applications, a detergent composition must have both high detergency and high rinsability, and it is considered preferable that the detergent composition also has a cleaning feel and eliminates stickiness. However, while a powder detergent composition is advantageous for achieving high detergency and cleaning feel, when the content of an anionic surfactant or an alkaline agent is high, there is a trade-off between the deterioration of both rinsability and stickiness, which is problematic.

The present invention provides a powder detergent composition which has both good cleaning properties, particularly for cleaning heat-denatured oily stains or sebum stains, and good rinsing properties, and further has a good cleaning feel and reduced sticky feeling.
In the present invention, the cleaning feel is defined as the ability to reduce the coefficient of friction between the hand or brush and the target surface when kneading or washing with a brush, making the target surface slippery and giving the user the impression that it is easy to clean.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention The reason why the powder detergent composition of the present invention achieves four elements, namely, good cleaning performance, particularly for cleaning thermally denatured oily soils or sebum soils, good cleaning feel, and suppressed sticky feeling, is not entirely clear, but is presumed to be as follows. To achieve both cleaning performance and rinsing performance, it is essential to blend a certain amount of component (a1), which has excellent cleaning performance but has a problem with rinsing performance, and component (A) containing the same. If a large amount of soda ash is blended to eliminate this trade-off, the cleaning feel and sticky feeling will deteriorate. Therefore, in the powder detergent composition of the present invention, by controlling the optimal mass ratio (a1)/(A) and mass ratio (a1)/(B), it is possible to provide a powder detergent composition that achieves all of the above four elements. It is presumed that the mechanism by which the (a1) component exerts a cleansing feeling is that the (A) component binds with the hardness components in tap water to form scum of the (A) component, which reduces the inherent slipperiness of the (A) component, but by including the (a1) component as the (A) component, the (A) component is prevented from becoming scum, and the slipperiness is exerted, which results in the expression of a good cleansing feeling. Also, as the mechanism by which the (B) component deteriorates the sticky feeling, it is presumed that the incorporation of a large amount of the (B) component makes the cleaning solution alkaline, which promotes the swelling of the keratin of human skin, which is perceived as a sticky feeling on the skin, so that it is necessary to limit the content of the (B) component.

[Example 2 and Comparative Example 2: Evaluation of textile product applications]
<Rinsing (foam removal) evaluation>
1. Preparation of artificial sebum-stained cloth - artificial soil A composition containing the following A, B, C, D, and E was prepared to serve as artificial soil. The mass % of each component is the proportion of the final composition of the artificial soil, and the amount of B was adjusted so that the total was 100 mass %.
A: Model sebum soil (used in amounts such that the mass percentages in the artificial soil are 0.44 mass% lauric acid, 3.15 mass% myristic acid, 2.35 mass% pentadecanoic acid, 6.31 mass% palmitic acid, 0.44 mass% heptadecanoic acid, 1.6 mass% stearic acid, 7.91 mass% oleic acid, 13.33 mass% triolein, 2.22 mass% n-hexadecyl palmitate, and 6.66 mass% squalene)
B: Hard water obtained by weighing out 105 mg of calcium chloride dihydrate and dissolving it in distilled water to make 1,000 mL. C: Egg white lecithin liquid crystal product 1.98% by mass (egg white lecithin liquid crystal product obtained by dissolving 11.37 g of arginine hydrochloride, 4.20 g of histidine, and 2.44 g of serine in 80 mL of distilled water, adjusting the pH to 5.0 with concentrated hydrochloric acid, and then thoroughly mixing this solution with egg white lecithin in a mixer).
D: Kanuma red soil 8.11% by mass
E: 0.025% by mass of carbon black
Artificial sebum-stained cloth The artificial sebum-stained cloth used was prepared by gravure coating 100 mg of artificial dirt composed of the above composition onto a 6 cm x 6 cm cotton/polyester broadcloth (cotton/polyester ratio = 35/65, purchased from Tanigashira Shoten).

2. Preparation of mud-stained cloth The mud-stained cloth used for the evaluation was prepared according to the following procedure. This method adheres particles between the fibers by re-contamination, so the soil is more difficult to remove than soiled cloth with mud applied to the surface. The mud used was Kanuma gardening red ball soil, which was dried for 4 hours at 120°C ± 5°C, crushed, and sieved through a 75 μm sieve. 6 g of mud was added to 1,000 mL of ion-exchanged water, stirred, and then ultrasonically applied for 15 minutes. These were transferred to a tergotometer, and 15 g of cotton knitted cloth (purchased from Tanigashira Shoten, 6 cm x 6 cm) was added and stirred for 20 minutes at 20°C, 100 rpm. The cloth was then rinsed with running water for 1 minute, dehydrated for 1 minute, and naturally dried overnight to prepare a mud-stained cloth.

3. Evaluation of Rinsing Ability (Foam Breaking Ability) 3 L of model water at 30°C was placed in a model circular washbasin (a cylindrical acrylic container with a bottom diameter (inner diameter) of 25 cm and a height of 15 cm). This model water was prepared by adding calcium chloride and magnesium chloride to ion-exchanged water so that the German hardness was 10° dH (Ca/Mg = 7/3, mass ratio), further adding sodium bicarbonate to the model water so that the alkalinity was 60 mg/L, and adjusting the pH to 7 with hydrochloric acid. Next, 12 g of each powder detergent composition in Table 2 was added and dissolved in the model water to prepare a cleaning solution with a powder detergent composition concentration of 4 mass%. Three pieces of clothing to be evaluated (100% cotton T-shirt, product name: YG crew neck T-shirt, product number: YV0013N, manufactured by Gunze Co., Ltd.) were placed in the cleaning solution in the model circular washbasin and left to stand completely immersed in the cleaning solution for 30 minutes. After leaving them, the artificial sebum-stained cloth was washed for 15 seconds and the mud-stained cloth was washed for 30 seconds for each evaluation garment (one round trip (approximately 1 second) of rubbing the fabrics together was counted as one wash). The evaluation garments were then removed and wrung out 10 cm above the wash basin so that the moisture content of the evaluation garments was approximately 100 to 140% by mass.
Into another model circular washbasin, 3 L of the model water with a water temperature of 30°C was poured. Three pieces of evaluation clothing with the water content reduced were poured therein, and the evaluation clothing was loosened in the model water, and then each loosened evaluation clothing was lifted up from the water bath by holding the collar part (lifted from the water bath to a height of about 5 cm above the washbasin until the entire clothing was completely removed), and then returned to the water bath. After repeating this up-and-down rinsing 10 times for each evaluation clothing, the evaluation clothing was squeezed 10 cm above the washbasin so that the water content of the evaluation clothing was about 100 to 140% of the underwear, and the state of the rinse water immediately after rinsing and spin-drying of the three evaluation clothing was observed, and the rinsing property was evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria. The results are shown in Table 2.
Evaluation Criteria A: No bubbles remain on the surface of the water in the bucket.
B: Almost no bubbles on the surface of the water in the bucket.
C: Some foam remains on the surface of the water in the bucket.
A is the most excellent in rinsing property (foam-removing property), and is superior to B, which is also superior to C in rinsing property (foam-removing property).

<Slippery Feeling Evaluation>
For each rinse solution after the above-mentioned rinsing property (foam removal) evaluation, five panelists put both hands into the rinse solution and rubbed their fingers together 10 times to evaluate the stickiness of the rinse solution, and the number of panelists who judged the rinse solution to be not sticky is shown in Table 2. The more panelists who judged the rinse solution to be slippery, the more comfortable it is for hand washing.

<Evaluation of cleaning ability>
Each powder detergent composition in Table 2 was dissolved in water adjusted to a German hardness of 10° dH at a water temperature of 25° C. to prepare 1 L of a cleaning solution containing 0.4% by mass of the powder detergent composition. Four pieces of artificial sebum-stained cloth (the same as those used in the rinsing performance evaluation) were placed in 1 L of the prepared cleaning solution, immersed for 30 minutes, and then washed for 3 minutes at 180 r/min using a tergotometer (MS-8212, manufactured by Ueshima Co., Ltd., inner diameter 12 cm, height 17.5 cm). After washing, the cloth was rinsed for 1 minute with the same water used to prepare the cleaning solution. The cleaning power was evaluated based on the cleaning rate (%) calculated based on the following formula (1). Specifically, the reflectance of the original cloth before artificial sebum contamination and the artificial sebum-stained cloth before and after washing was measured using a colorimeter (Z-300A, manufactured by Nippon Denshoku Co., Ltd.), and the cleaning rate (%) was calculated based on the following formula (1). The cleaning rate result is the average of the calculation results for four pieces of cloth soiled with artificial sebum. The higher the cleaning rate, the better the cleaning performance.
Cleaning rate (%) = 100 × [(reflectance of artificial sebum-stained cloth after cleaning - reflectance of artificial sebum-stained cloth before cleaning) / (reflectance of original cloth - reflectance of artificial sebum-stained cloth before cleaning)] (1)
The results are shown in Table 2. The cleaning rate is preferably 70% or more.

<(Ease of cleaning) evaluation (evaluation of the slipperiness of clothes when hand-washed)>
Each powder detergent composition in Table 2 was dissolved in water adjusted to a German hardness of 10° dH at a water temperature of 25° C. to prepare 3 L of detergent solution with a concentration of 0.4 mass % of the powder detergent composition. 3 L of the prepared detergent solution was put into a bucket (diameter 41 cm, depth 14 cm, volume 11 L, product name: Polytube 36, Sekisui Techno Molding Co., Ltd.), and three pieces of evaluation clothing (100% cotton T-shirt, product name: YG crew neck T-shirt, product number: YV0013N, manufactured by Gunze Co., Ltd.) were further put in and hand-kneaded five times from each of two directions. The slipperiness of the clothing in hand-washing was sensorily evaluated based on the feel of the clothing during the hand-kneading. Five panelists performed a sensory evaluation of whether the clothing was slippery, and the number of panelists who judged the clothing to be slippery is shown in Table 2. It can be said that the more panelists who judged the clothing to be slippery, the higher the comfort of hand-washing.
