Definitions
- Toothezing is the science that prevents, treats, and diagnoses dental and oral diseases through the application of knowledge in the health field and specialized equipment. Within its scientific branch is orthodontics, the specialty that studies, predicts, and corrects developmental disorders, the shape of the dental arches, and the position of the jaws, with the goal of restoring the morphological and functional balance of the mouth and face.
- the archwire is generally planar, where the archwire has a rectangular cross-section with a height defined by the longest side of the rectangular cross-section. The height is oriented along the third dimension.
- the bracket further has a support pad and a support body.
- the support body forms a slot for receiving the archwire.
- the slot is formed by at least two opposite parallel slot side faces and a slot land face disposed perpendicularly thereto.
- the slot has a width defined by the distance between the slot side faces. The width corresponds to the height of the archwire.
- the invention is advantageous for orthodontic treatment of teeth requiring good tip and rotation control.
- Spanish document ES2627430 consists of a system that digitizes the patient's tooth, adds virtual objects to predetermined locations on the digitized tooth, creates a dental template to locate the object on the patient's tooth; places the template on the patient's teeth, mounts the orthodontic object between the template and the tooth; attaches the orthodontic object to the tooth, places the orthodontic object on the template, inserts the template containing the orthodontic object into the patient's teeth, and attaches the orthodontic object to the tooth.
- the system of this invention consists of taking the metallic ligature (ligator pencil) and starting at point A, following the ligature to point B, then passing behind the fin of the support (Bracket) and reaching point C, crossing over the slot to point D, passing behind the fin again to point E, continuing to point F, passing behind the fin to point G and crossing the support (Bracket) again to point H, passing behind the fin and reaching point A, where the ligature is tied and hidden; creating a special module so that there is free sliding and colors in all phases of orthodontic treatments, where it is possible to create a metal cover like molar tubes with convertible lids so that there is free sliding of the support (Bracket) against the arch, facilitating the first phase of treatment (leveling) using light forces with Nitinol arches (with circular cross section of 0.012 "to 0.016" or rectangular 0.017" X 0.025" to 0.019" X 0.025”) to stay in the Biozone (zone of optimal forces) and that there is a propitious stimulus
- the tooth By placing a rectangular spring in the hole for the vertical slot, the tooth can be fractured distally, creating a moment of force and producing this force from the tooth's center of resistance. This spring is also slightly rotated toward the gum to provide a moment of force against the tooth's rotation.
- the spring is anchored to the archwire with a ligature, allowing us to create a mesial or distal tip only for the tooth we need to correct. This allows for slight movements in cases where we missed a bit, thus achieving optimal occlusion. It is possible to mark the distal part of the bracket over the distal hook with different laser nomenclature systems (for example, 1.1 or 13 for the upper left canine).
- the bracket is very versatile and functional both in the initial stages of leveling and in the subsequent stages of distalization, space closure, torque, and finishing.
- FIG. 3 is a graphic image showing a metal cover similar to molar tubes with convertible caps so that the bracket can slide freely against the arch, facilitating the first phase of treatment.
- FIG. 5 is a graphic image showing that the bracket slides very smoothly over the arch.
- FIG. 6 is a graphic image showing how a canine or other tooth is fractured.
- FIG. 9 is a graphic image showing a vertical hole for attaching different attachments to the bracket.
- FIG. 10 is a graphic image demonstrating binding movements for uninstallation.
- FIG. 12 is a graphic image demonstrating the anchor to the spring arch.
- FIG. 13 is a graphic image showing a marker for recognition with different laser nomenclature systems.
