Definitions
- the present invention relates to a dental prosthesis system, and more specifically, to a dental prosthesis system which can significantly enhance the bonding strength of a secondary prosthesis to a primary prosthesis compared to the prior art, while allowing the secondary prosthesis to be easily and removably bonded to the primary prosthesis, and since the primary prosthesis is not separated again after bonding the primary prosthesis after implantation of a fixture, not only can damage to the implant be significantly reduced, but also can facilitate prevention of bacterial penetration into the implant, and can increase the convenience of the practitioner and greatly improve the patient's satisfaction with the procedure.
- a dental implant is a procedure to replace a lost tooth in dental treatment. It is also called a dental implant system or a dental prosthesis system, but is referred to as a dental prosthesis system hereinafter.
- a typical dental prosthesis system includes a fixture (4), a primary prosthesis (3, abutment), a prosthesis screw (2, abutment screw), and a secondary prosthesis (1, crown), as shown in Fig. 1, and is performed through the following process.
- a fixture (4) is implanted into the alveolar bone, which is the root of the lost tooth.
- the abutment which is the primary prosthesis (3), is assembled to the fixture (4) using a prosthesis screw (2).
- cement type official name: cemented type
- SCRP type screw-cement retained prosthodontics
- the dental prosthesis system (100) not only significantly enhances the bonding strength of a secondary prosthesis (150) to a primary prosthesis (130) compared to the prior art, while allowing the secondary prosthesis (150) to be easily and conveniently bonded, but also significantly reduces damage to the implant since the primary prosthesis (130) is not separated again after the fixture (110) is implanted and the primary prosthesis (130) is bonded, and not only does it facilitate the prevention of bacterial penetration into the implant, but it also increases the convenience of the practitioner and greatly improves the patient's satisfaction with the procedure.
- a dental prosthesis system (100) capable of providing such effects includes a fixture (110), a primary prosthesis (130), a secondary prosthesis (150), and a prosthesis joining unit (170).
- the body part (112) is a part that forms the skeleton of the fixture (110).
- a configuration or pattern, such as an entry direction guide part (114), a cutting edge part (115), including a screw part (112a), can be provided at each position in the body part (112).
- the fixture (110) is a screw-shaped structure that is implanted into the alveolar bone
- the body part (112) is provided with an outer surface that is tapered so that the cross-sectional area gradually decreases along the implantation direction to facilitate implantation.
- the body part (112) of the fixture (110) may be provided in a cylindrical type I-shaped structure with the same cross-sectional diameter along the length direction, or in a shape with a potbelly in the middle.
- the body part (112) has a tapered shape in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases along the implantation direction, that is, toward the entry direction guide part (114), as in this embodiment, there is an advantage in that implantation can be made easier.
- the body part (112) When processing the body part (112) of the fixture (110) with a tapered structure, the body part (112) may be tapered to have the same slope over the entire outer surface area, or the body part (112) may be formed with different taper slopes formed on the outer surface. In addition, only a portion of the outer surface of the body part (112) may be formed to be tapered. In this case, unlike the drawing, the section from the upper part of the body part (112) to the central region may form a tapered slope, and the remaining portion may be processed into a straight shape like a cylinder. In this case, there is an advantage of facilitating initial implantation while providing strong fixing force.
- An entry direction guide part (114) is formed on the opposite side of the entrance of the body part (112), i.e., at the lower end of the body part (112).
- the entry direction guide part (114) is formed from the front end of the body part (112) to a predetermined section in the longitudinal direction of the body part (112) with respect to the direction in which the body part (112) is planted, and serves to guide the initial planting entry direction for the body part (112). Accordingly, the entry direction guide part (114) may have a narrow width and a sharp wall shape.
- a cutting edge portion (115) is further formed along the longitudinal direction of the body portion (112) around the entry direction guide portion (114).
- the cutting edge portion (115) does not necessarily have to be formed, but if the cutting edge portion (115) is formed, the cutting edge portion (115) forms a cutting edge shape, which greatly helps in implanting the fixture (110) into the alveolar bone.
- Such cutting edge portions (115) may be formed one on the outer wall of the body portion (112) or may be formed in multiples as in the present embodiment. In the case where a plurality of cutting edge portions (115) are formed as in the present embodiment, the cutting edge portions (115) may be arranged concentrically and at equal intervals based on the body portion (112).
- the primary prosthesis (130) is a structure that is connected to the fixture (110) and supports the secondary prosthesis (150).
- the primary prosthesis (130) may be an abutment.
- the primary prosthesis (130) may include a prosthesis body (135), a screw joint (136), and a prosthesis detachable joint (137).
- the prosthesis body (135) has a cone shape whose cross-sectional area gradually decreases toward the screw joint (136).
- the prosthesis body (135) includes a first cone portion (135a) adjacent to the prosthesis attachment/detachment joint (137), and a second cone portion (135b) that connects the first cone portion (135a) and the screw joint (136), but whose outer surface has a smaller incline than the first cone portion (135a).
- the prosthesis body (135) is composed of a first conical portion (135a) and a second conical portion (135b)
- the primary prosthesis (130) is fastened to the fixture (110) as in FIGS. 8 to 9
- the outer wall of the first conical portion (135a) or the second conical portion (135b), or in this embodiment, the second conical portion (135b) is supported by the inner wall of the entrance of the prosthesis body (135), so that the primary prosthesis (130) can be more stably fastened to the fixture (110).
- the screw-joining portion (136) is provided on one side of the prosthesis body (135) and is a portion that is screw-joined to the prosthesis-joining screw portion (111) formed on the inner wall of the fixture (110).
- the prosthesis screw (2) since the prosthesis screw (2) had to be used, the cost increased due to the increase in parts, and the work was not easy.
- the screw-joining portion (136) since the screw-joining portion (136) is formed integrally with the primary prosthesis (130), there is no need to use the prosthesis screw (2) introduced in FIG. 1. Therefore, the convenience of the work can be greatly improved.
- the prosthesis detachable joint (137) is positioned on the opposite side of the screw joint (136) with respect to the prosthesis body (135) and is a part where the secondary prosthesis (150) is detachably joined.
- the prosthesis detachable joint (137) forms a location where the prosthesis joining unit (170) is joined.
- the prosthesis detachable joint part (137) has a non-circular cross-sectional structure. That is, the remaining section except for the end region has a square block structure. Accordingly, a total of four walls are formed in the prosthesis detachable joint part (137), and one wall of the prosthesis detachable joint part (137) forms a place where the prosthesis joining unit (170) is joined.
- a prosthesis tool groove (138) for inserting a tool is formed on the exposed surface of the prosthesis attachment/detachment joint (137). Accordingly, when attaching the primary prosthesis (130) to the fixture (110) as in FIGS. 8 to 9, the tool can be handled by inserting it into the prosthesis tool groove (138) of the primary prosthesis (130).
- a platform (139) is formed on one side of the prosthesis body (135) on which an end of a secondary prosthesis (150) is placed.
- the platform (139) refers to a flat portion formed on one side of the prosthesis body (135). Since the platform (139) is formed, when the secondary prosthesis (150) is joined to the primary prosthesis (130), the end area of the secondary prosthesis (150) can be stably supported. Accordingly, it can contribute to strengthening the bonding strength between the primary prosthesis (130) and the secondary prosthesis (150).
- This primary prosthesis (130) is attached to the fixture (110) after the fixture (110) is implanted. Since the primary prosthesis (130) is not separated again after being attached, not only can damage to the implant be significantly reduced, but also it can be made easier to block bacterial penetration into the implant.
- the secondary prosthesis (150) is a structure that is detachably connected to the primary prosthesis (130).
- the secondary prosthesis (150) is a Duo abutment that has a symmetrical structure. That is, after the primary prosthesis (130) is connected, it is fitted into the primary prosthesis (130) to protect the primary prosthesis (130) and to enable it to function as a tooth for a certain period of time.
- the secondary prosthesis (150) is applied as a no cement type prosthesis that is detachably connected to the primary prosthesis (130) by the action of the prosthesis joining unit (170) without using conventional cement.
- the secondary prosthesis (150) can be easily removed or replaced with another one, i.e., one of FIGS. 12 to 16, as needed, so there are many advantages. For example, when the gums are slightly swollen, the prosthesis can be simply removed and cleaned without the need to anesthetize and scrape it off. In cases where food gets stuck in front of the implant, it can also be removed and resolved, and since there is no cement, there is an advantage in that problems caused by residual cement do not occur.
- the secondary prosthesis (250) applied to the dental prosthesis system (200) of Fig. 12 is an angled abutment formed to be inclined to one side. It has the same function as the secondary prosthesis (150) of this embodiment, but is different in shape.
- the bonding strength of the second prosthesis (150) to the first prosthesis (130) is significantly strengthened compared to the prior art, while the second prosthesis (150) can be easily and conveniently bonded, and since the first prosthesis (130) is not separated again after the fixture (110) is implanted and the first prosthesis (130) is bonded, not only can damage to the implant be significantly reduced, but also it can be easy to block bacterial penetration into the implant, and not only can the convenience of the practitioner be increased, but also the patient's satisfaction with the procedure be greatly improved.
- the present invention can be used in dental treatment.
