Description

METHOD OF INSTALLING AT LEAST ONE INFILL PANEL
D E S C R I P T I O N
Field of application
The present invention is applicable to the field of construction and in particular relates to a method of installing infill panels.
State of the art
In construction, the use of panels for making infill walls is known, i.e., elements which separate the internal architectural space from the outside.
Furthermore, the use of prefabricated infill panels is also known, produced in many variants by thickness, size, installation position and type of finish, which allow to meet architectural needs by speeding up their installation.
Infill panels are generally made of concrete, however, the use of wooden panels is increasingly widespread, which allow to reduce the weight of the structure and to better dissipate the energy of seismic shocks, consequently guaranteeing greater a safety of buildings.
However, the installation of prefabricated infill panels still involves rather long times and the need to use specialized workers, with the consequent increase in the construction costs of the infill wall.
Moreover, the installation is typically carried out from outside the building by means of temporary scaffolding, which increases the time and costs of performing the work.
In addition to this, document GB 2 107 777 A is known which discloses an installation method in which each panel is transported to the floor outside the building by a carriage so that it can be positioned vertically to then be coupled to a lifting apparatus for transport to the fixing floor. However, even such a method does not resolve the above drawbacks.
Presentation of the invention
The aim of the present invention is to at least partially overcome the drawbacks highlighted above.
In particular, an aim of the present invention is to provide a method of installing panels for making an infill wall. Furthermore, an aim of the present invention is to provide a method of installing infill panels which allows to limit the demand of personnel for carrying out the works.
In addition, an aim of the present invention is to provide a method of installing panels which reduces the installation time of the panels themselves.
Therefore, on closer examination, an aim of the present invention is to provide a method of installing panels which allows to reduce costs and simplifies the operations necessary for carrying out the infill work.
Said aims, as well as others which will become clearer in the following description, are achieved by a method of installing infill panels inside a building in accordance with the claims which follow, which are to be considered an integral part of the present patent.
In particular, it first envisages positioning at least one support bracket on at least one of a walkway floor and a floor thereabove.
Subsequently, the method comprises a step in which a group of panels comprising one or more infill panels is arranged to then transport them on the walkway floor.
The method of the invention also envisages positioning at least one manipulator shaped to removably couple with the infill panel in the walkway floor.
Then, the infill panel is removably coupled to the manipulator to move the panel so as to stably couple it to the support bracket, making at least one portion of an outer infill wall.
Lastly, the infill panel is decoupled from the manipulator.
Therefore, the method of the invention allows to make an infill wall by operating inside the building by means of the manipulator. Advantageously, with respect to the prior art, there is no need to arrange external scaffolding to couple the panels to the support brackets, with consequent savings in terms of time and costs.
Moreover, the movement of the infill panels by means of a manipulator requires the use of a smaller number of workers which, still advantageously, allows to reduce the installation costs.
Therefore, on closer examination the method of the invention allows to simplify the infill panel installation operations, an operation which is carried out safely inside the buildings, by means of a manipulator which requires a limited number of personnel with shorter execution times with respect to the known installation methods.
Brief description of the drawings
Further features and advantages of the invention will become more evident in light of the detailed description of a preferred but non-exclusive embodiment of a method of installing an infill panel according to the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example with the aid of the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 depicts a block diagram of the method according to the invention;
FIGS. 2 to 5 depict diagrams of the steps and sub-steps of the method of Fig. 1.
Detailed description of some preferred embodiments
With reference to the aforementioned figures, a method of installing 101 an infill panel 2 from inside a building is described according to the invention.
In particular, it comprises a positioning step 102 of a support bracket 4, typically but not necessarily an angle bracket, on the walkway floor 6, i.e., the floor in which the operators move, and/or on a floor 7 thereabove.
According to the embodiment disclosed, a support bracket 4 is positioned on the walkway floor 6 and a support bracket 4 on the floor immediately above 7 for each infill panel 2. Obviously, the number of brackets must not be considered limiting for different embodiments of the invention where, for example, there is only one bracket or more than two for each panel.
According to the method of the invention, it is then envisaged to arrange 104 a group of panels 10 comprising one or more infill panels 2.
The infill panels 2 are transported to the site by means of truck and therefore divided into groups 10, which are typically stacked on pallets to then be moved.
According to another aspect of the invention, said groups of panels 10 are composed according to a number of infill panels 2 in accordance with the capacity of the walkway floor 6 or in any case of the floor for which they are intended. In other words, the group of panels 10 must not exceed the load-bearing capacity limit of the floors which is typically, but not necessarily, 600 kg/sqm. According to a further aspect of the invention, the method then envisages transporting 106 the group of panels 10 to the walkway floor 6 and, in the same floor, positioning 107 a manipulator 12 shaped to removably couple with the infill panel 2.
According to the embodiment disclosed, the manipulator 12 comprises coupling means 15, such as one or more suction cups 16, shaped to removably couple to the infill panel 2.
According to a variant embodiment of the invention, the coupling means comprise screw elements adapted to couple the infill panel to the manipulator. Obviously, the nature of the coupling means must be understood as limiting for different embodiment variants of the invention where, for example, they comprise hooks, adhesive parts.
Following the positioning of the manipulator 12, an optional check is carried out on the stabilisation thereof so as to check the correct positioning thereof.
According to a further aspect of the invention, the infill panel 2 is removably coupled 109 to the manipulator 12 to move it so as to arrange it in accordance with the positioning of the support bracket 4 and, therefore, proceed by stably coupling the panel 2 to the bracket 4, or to the brackets, thus creating an infill wall portion.
In other words, an operator controlling the manipulator 12 couples the latter to the panel 2, for example by means of suction cups 16, and then moves it until it is arranged at the support brackets 4. Then, the stable coupling between the infill panel 2 and the brackets 4 is carried out, making an infill wall portion.
Lastly, the manipulator 12 is decoupled 110 from the infill panel 2 fixed to the brackets 4 and the method possibly proceeds with the installation of the next one.
Advantageously, the method 101 allows to make infill walls to separate the internal environments of any building from the outside.
The method 101 of the invention is particularly adapted to be used for installing infill panels 2 in wooden material. However, the nature of the panels must not be considered limiting for different embodiment variants of the invention where, for example, the panels are in concrete. As mentioned, it is clear that the installation of the panels 2 occurs, still advantageously, operating inside the buildings and not on external scaffolding as occurs in the prior art. In fact, the use of the manipulator 12 allows to position the infill panels 2 from the inside, thus eliminating construction times and the costs of installing temporary scaffolding.
Furthermore, the movement of the panels 2 by means of the manipulator 12 requires a smaller number of operators with respect to the known installation methods, still allowing, advantageously, to further reduce the costs and times for making infills.
According to another aspect of the invention, such a coupling and movement step 109 of the infill panel 2 first envisages coupling the infill panel 2 with the manipulator 12 and then moving it over the level 18 of the walkway floor 6, and/or of the upper floor 7 depending on the structure of the building, so as to be able to rotate it freely.
In other words, by means of the manipulator 12 the infill panel 2 is moved outside the building allowing, advantageously, to rotate it freely without running into any obstacles or restricted spaces.
Then, the method proceeds by rotating the infill panel 2 so as to arrange it in accordance with the positioning of the brackets 4 and then stably coupling the panel 2 thereto, making an infill wall portion.
Such operations therefore allow to work inside the buildings without arranging a temporary scaffolding.
The panels 2 generally have dimensions such as not to allow their movement inside the buildings, however, by moving the panel 2 with the manipulator 12 outside the building there is a complete manoeuvring freedom to be able to arrange it so as to facilitate the coupling with the brackets 4.
According to a further aspect of the invention, the method further envisages a first preliminary step, not depicted in the figures, of installing a protective guardrail 20 in the walkway floor 6, such a guardrail 20 being arranged so as not to hinder the installation of the infill panels 2.
Advantageously, the presence of one or more guardrails 20 allows to operate on the walkway floor 6 in safety. Furthermore, according to another aspect of the invention, the method further comprises a second preliminary step, also not depicted in the figures, of creating barriers around an area below the work area, so as to guarantee safety in the event of an accidental fall of materials.
However, for what has been said above, it is evident that the object of the invention is also an assembly adapted to carry out the installation method 101 according to the above, and comprising one or more support brackets 4, a loading platform 22, typically a pallet, adapted to restingly receive a group of panels 10, a manipulator 12 for moving the panels 2 and a carrier 23 for moving the manipulator 12 and the group of panels 10 to the walkway floor 6.
Furthermore, according to the embodiment which is described, the manipulator 12 comprises an arm 25 having dimensions such as to allow the movement of the panels 2 beyond the level 15 of the walkway floor 6 and/or of the upper floor 7.
A complete description of the assembly of the invention is omitted here, since it would replicate what is already written about the same during the description of the installation method. What is observed is that it achieves all the aforementioned advantages.
In light of the foregoing, it is understood that the method of installing an infill panel of the invention achieves all the intended objects.
In particular, it allows to make an infill wall safely and limiting the construction time with respect to the known methods.
Furthermore, the method of the invention requires a smaller number of personnel for carrying out the works, with the consequent savings in economic terms.
The invention is susceptible to numerous modifications and variations, all falling within the appended claims. All the details and steps can be replaced by other technically equivalent elements, and the materials can be different depending on the needs, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention defined by the attached claims.
