Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a hair coloring composition capable of increasing the coloring efficiency of an air-oxidizing dye that oxidizes on its own in the air without the aid of an oxidizing agent to produce color.
  • Oxidation dyes contain oxidation dyes, oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide, and alkaline agents.
  • the alkaline agent opens the hair cuticle layer, the oxidation dye penetrates inside and is oxidized by hydrogen peroxide to polymerize, thereby displaying color. Since the dye polymerizes inside the hair, it is almost never removed by washing, so it has the advantage of being semi-permanent and having excellent coloring, but it is not free from safety issues because the oxidizing agents and alkaline agents used together can damage the hair and are highly irritating to the skin.
  • the direct dyes and pigments of non-oxidation dyes are absorbed into the hair surface to display color, the irritation is relatively low, but compared to oxidation dyes, they have very low coloring power and are easily removed by washing.
  • Air-oxidizing dyes are polymerized by penetrating into the hair and then oxidizing on their own in the air without the help of an oxidizing agent, thereby developing color. Therefore, air-oxidizing dye products that do not require an oxidizing agent enable semi-permanent dyeing with high convenience and low hair damage.
  • Representative air oxidation dyes include 5,6-dihydroxyindole, 4-amino-m-cresol, 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene, 2,4-diaminophenol, 2-methoxy-p-phenylenediamine, 3,4-dihydroxyaniline, etc.
  • 5,6-dihydroxyindole is known as an intermediate substance in the body's melanin synthesis mechanism, and thus many single-agent air oxidation hair dye compositions containing it have been developed [Patent Document 1].

Hair dyes are divided into oxidation dyes that use oxidation dyes and non-oxidation dyes that use direct dyes or pigments. Oxidation dyes contain oxidation dyes, oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide, and alkaline agents. When the alkaline agent opens the hair cuticle layer, the oxidation dye penetrates inside and is oxidized by hydrogen peroxide to polymerize, thereby displaying color. Since the dye polymerizes inside the hair, it is almost never removed by washing, so it has the advantage of being semi-permanent and having excellent coloring, but it is not free from safety issues because the oxidizing agents and alkaline agents used together can damage the hair and are highly irritating to the skin. In contrast, since most of the direct dyes and pigments of non-oxidation dyes are absorbed into the hair surface to display color, the irritation is relatively low, but compared to oxidation dyes, they have very low coloring power and are easily removed by washing.

Air-oxidizing dyes are polymerized by penetrating into the hair and then oxidizing on their own in the air without the help of an oxidizing agent, thereby developing color. Therefore, air-oxidizing dye products that do not require an oxidizing agent enable semi-permanent dyeing with high convenience and low hair damage.

In particular, 5,6-dihydroxyindole is known as an intermediate substance in the body's melanin synthesis mechanism, and thus many single-agent air oxidation hair dye compositions containing it have been developed [Patent Document 1].

However, there is a problem that it does not reach the coloring power of existing two-part oxidation hair dyes that directly use an oxidizing agent, and various methods are being attempted to solve this problem.

5,6-디하이드록시인돌을 함유하는 1제와 알칼리제를 함유하는 2제를 별도로 구성함으로써 염료의 산화를 촉진시키거나(특허문헌 2), 조성물에 금속촉매를 함께 포함시키는 경우[특허문헌 3 및 4], 또는 인돌 유도체를 산화하는 능력이 있는 라카아제, 티로시나아제와 같은 효소를 조성물에 포함하는 케이스도 있다[특허문헌 5].By separately composing the first agent containing 5,6-dihydroxyindole and the second agent containing an alkaline agent, oxidation of the dye is promoted (Patent Document 2), or a metal catalyst is included in the composition [Patent Documents 3 and 4], or there are cases in which an enzyme such as laccase or tyrosinase capable of oxidizing indole derivatives is included in the composition [Patent Document 5].

Against this backdrop, the inventors of the present invention have made extensive research efforts to develop a composition for coloring hair with an air oxidation dye without using an oxidizing agent, and as a result, have confirmed that when a composition including a color-developing agent selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid amino compound having both a sulfonic acid group and an amine group, a salt thereof, and a water-soluble alkali builder is used, the oxidation mechanism of an air oxidation dye penetrating into the hair or adsorbed on the surface of the hair is promoted, thereby resulting in an effect of darkening the hair color, thereby completing the present invention.

Accordingly, the present invention aims to provide a hair coloring composition comprising an air oxidation dye; and a color-developing agent selected from the group consisting of sulfonic acid amino compounds, salts thereof, and water-soluble alkali builders.

In addition, another purpose of the present invention is to provide a hair coloring method comprising a step of applying the hair coloring composition to hair.

In addition, another object of the present invention is to provide a hair coloring shampoo comprising the hair coloring composition.

In addition, another object of the present invention is to provide a hair coloring method including a step of washing hair with the hair coloring shampoo.

The hair coloring composition according to the present invention enables gray hair coverage by coloring hair brown, dark brown or black using an air oxidation dye and a color development enhancer of a sulfonic acid amino compound (or a salt thereof) and/or a water-soluble alkaline builder without an oxidizing agent.

To explain this in detail, it is as follows.

As one aspect for achieving the above object, the present invention provides a hair coloring composition comprising an air oxidation dye; and a coloring enhancer selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid amino compound, a salt thereof, and a water-soluble alkali builder.

The hair coloring mechanism of the present invention means that a composition including a dye compound is adsorbed onto the surface of the hair or penetrates through the CMC (Cell Membrane Complex) between some cuticle layers, so that a new color is expressed on the surface and inside of the hair, and specifically, it may include blackening the hair, deepening the hair color from light to dark, or preventing hair from whitening (including covering gray hair).

This mechanism is different from the conventional oxidation dyeing. The principle of conventional hair dyeing is that the ammonia component of hair dyeing swells the hair or lifts the hair surface cuticle, and when the pigment precursor penetrates into the lifted hair, an oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide bleaches the melanin in the hair and reacts with the pigment precursor to dye the hair.

On the other hand, a composition comprising an air oxidation dye according to the present invention; and a color development enhancer selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid amino compound, a salt thereof, and a water-soluble alkali builder; causes an oxidation reaction to occur over time only by reacting with oxygen in the air without a separate oxidizing agent with the help of the color development enhancer, thereby developing the color of the hair into a brown, dark brown, or black color.

In the present invention, it was confirmed that the hair coloring power of a composition containing various sulfonic acid amino compounds and/or water-soluble alkali builders was excellent.

The hair coloring composition according to the present invention is characterized by not containing an oxidizing agent, and thus can color hair without damaging the hair. The oxidizing agent may refer to an oxidizing agent artificially included in the composition, and may be an oxidizing agent commonly used in the art, for example, hydrogen peroxide or a urea type oxide, but is not limited thereto.

For example, it may be preferable that the hair coloring composition according to the present invention be a single-component type.

The hair coloring composition according to the present invention may include a composition for browning, blackening or preventing whitening of hair.

In addition, the hair coloring composition can enhance the hair coloring effect or sustain the coloring, and thus can include a composition for enhancing hair coloring or sustaining the coloring.

In the present invention, the air oxidation dye is adsorbed to the surface of the hair or penetrates into part of the hair, and then exhibits color development by undergoing an oxidation reaction with oxygen in the air without the addition of an artificial oxidizing agent.

The above method may further include a step of applying the hair coloring composition to the hair and leaving it for 1 to 30 minutes, and preferably, the hair can be colored brown, dark brown or black even with only a very short period of time of 1 to 10 minutes, more preferably 1 to 5 minutes. At this time, the application method is not particularly limited, and a method such as immersing the hair in the hair coloring composition or spraying the hair coloring composition onto the hair can be used.

In another aspect of the present invention, the hair coloring shampoo may be characterized by being sulfate-free.

The use of a sulfate-based surfactant in the above hair coloring shampoo may inhibit the hair absorption and penetration of the air-oxidized dye. In a preferred embodiment, the hair coloring shampoo may additionally contain a non-sulfate-based surfactant in addition to the hair coloring composition.

Sulfate-based surfactants have a high cleansing power, but there is a problem that the dye transfer to the hair is low, but in the case of non-sulfate-based surfactants, the amount of dye remaining in the hair is high, so the coloring power is higher. Although non-sulfate-based surfactants themselves do not promote the oxidation of the dye, they play a role in increasing the dye transfer to the hair, thereby improving the coloring power.

Meanwhile, the hair coloring shampoo according to the present invention may contain water in addition to the above-described components, and the water may be purified water such as ion-exchange water or distilled water. In addition, the content thereof is not particularly limited, but may be any amount that can sufficiently dissolve or disperse the above-described components. In this way, by adding the hair coloring composition to a commonly used shampoo composition to produce a hair coloring shampoo, a shampoo is provided that can simultaneously color the hair a dark color while shampooing every day.

When using the hair coloring shampoo according to the present invention, hair coloring occurs when the air-oxidized dye is absorbed into the hair during the daily shampooing process, so that additional coloring occurs instead of the hair color fading phenomenon, and thus the hair color fading phenomenon that occurs most commonly during the shampooing process can be prevented. In addition, when using the hair coloring shampoo, not only is the conventional dyeing procedure time that takes several tens of minutes or more unnecessary, but also periodic additional procedures due to growing hair, etc. are not required, so convenience is greatly increased, and the hair can be colored a dark color under conditions that minimize hair damage in a short period of time.

As another aspect of the present invention, a hair coloring method is provided, comprising a step of washing hair with the hair coloring shampoo.

Comparative Examples 1 to 5 and Examples 1 and 2: Confirmation of the effect of color-developing enhancer

Experimental method]

The experimental yak wool was washed with 15% Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) solution corresponding to 10% of the weight of the tress and then dried with a dryer. The initial color values (L 0 *, a 0 *, b 0 *) of the tress prepared as above before dyeing were measured in advance using a colorimeter (Agera Spectrophotometer, HunterLab, light source D65/10).

Comparative Examples 1-5 and Examples 1 and 2 were prepared by including air oxidation dye (dihydroxyindoline hydrobromide salt) and color enhancer (taurine, 3-aminopropanesulfonic acid) in the composition ratios shown in Table 1, respectively.

Unlike the color-developing enhancers that act as oxidation assistants having both sulfonic acid and amine groups, isethionic acid containing only one sulfonic acid group and ethanolamine containing only one amine group were also prepared and evaluated in the composition ratios of Comparative Examples 4 and 5. The hydroxyl group included in these structures has a pKa value of 15-20 and is not ionized in a normal aqueous solution.

A small amount of diluted hydrogen chloride or sodium hydroxide was added to each composition to adjust the pH to 8.8.

The same procedure was performed by soaking yak wool in 20 ml of the composition at 25°C for 5 minutes, applying 10% of the weight of SLES 15% solution, lathering for 30 seconds, and then rinsing in running water at 35-38°C for 30 seconds.

After wiping off excess water with a tissue and completely drying with a dryer, the color difference values (L 1 *, a 1 *, b 1 *) were measured and the color change (ΔE) value was calculated compared to the yak wool color difference values (L 0 *, a 0 *, b 0 *) before dyeing.

As shown in Table 1 above, when the air oxidation dye was applied alone (Comparative Example 1), the ΔE value was 25.00, and in the case of Example 1 containing an additional 5 wt% of taurine, the ΔE was confirmed to have increased by 63.16% to 40.79. In addition, it was confirmed that 3-aminopropanesulfonic acid (Example 2), a compound having a structure similar to taurine, had an additional color enhancement effect when included simultaneously with the air oxidation dye.

As it was confirmed through Comparative Examples 2 and 3 that the corresponding oxidation accelerator components themselves do not have a coloring effect, it was confirmed that the high ΔE values in Examples 1 and 2 were due to the oxidation coloring accelerating effect of the air-oxidizing dye.

Since the corresponding color-developing enhancers of Examples 1 and 2 formed a buffer solution under specific alkaline conditions where oxidation color development of the air-oxidizing dye was initiated, they helped to maintain the pH conditions relatively stably even during the washing process where an excessive amount of water was diluted, thereby increasing the color-developing sustainability of the air-oxidizing dye.

보통의 수용액 내에서 이온화되지 않는 수준의 높은 pKa 값을 가지는 하이드록시기를 제외하고, 설폰산기 만을 가지는 이세티온산과 아민기 만을 가지는 에탄올아민에 대해서도 공기 산화 염료의 발색 강화 효과가 확인되지 않았다 (비교예 4, 5).Except for hydroxyl groups with high pKa values that are not ionized in normal aqueous solutions, the color-enhancing effect of air-oxidized dyes was not confirmed for isethionic acid having only sulfonic acid groups and ethanolamine having only amine groups (Comparative Examples 4 and 5).

The experimental yak wool was washed with a 15% Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) solution equivalent to 10% of the weight of the tress and then dried with a dryer.

The initial color values (L 0 *, a 0 *, b 0 *) of the tresses prepared as above were measured in advance using a colorimeter (Agera Spectrophotometer, HunterLab, light source D65/10).

Manufacturing Comparative Examples 1-3 and 1-4 were manufactured by containing air oxidation dye (dihydroxyindoline hydrobromide salt) and surfactants in the composition ratios below.

Afterwards, the color change (ΔE) value was calculated by preparing in the same manner as above.

Figure PCTKR2024002757-appb-img-000004
Figure PCTKR2024002757-appb-img-000004

As shown in Table 2, since the role of the surfactant itself is to wash away substances attached to the hair surface, it is generally very difficult to leave air-oxidized dyes on the hair. In particular, general sulfate surfactants have a high HLB (hydrophilic-lipophilic balance) value, which results in high hydrophilic properties. Therefore, they have a high affinity for air-oxidized dyes dissolved in water, and thus have a strong interaction, which is expected to further inhibit the process of dyes being absorbed into the hair or penetrating into the hair.

In fact, in Manufacturing Comparative Examples 2 and 3, which applied sulfate surfactants, the coloring power was significantly reduced compared to Manufacturing Comparative Example 1.

In contrast, despite being the same anionic surfactant, the non-sulfate surfactants applied in Manufacturing Examples 1-4 increased the penetration efficiency of the air-oxidized dye into the hair, thereby promoting or at least maintaining the coloring power.

Comparative Examples 6-14 and Examples 3-8 were prepared by containing air oxidation dye (dihydroxyindoline hydrobromide salt, 4-amino-m-cresol, 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene) and taurine, baking soda, and soda ash in the composition ratios below, respectively. These were washed once on the prepared yak wool and dyed. For washing, the yak wool was soaked in lukewarm water, and the prepared Comparative Example or Example was applied in an amount corresponding to 50% of the weight of the yak wool tress, foamed for 1 minute, washed, left at room temperature for 5 minutes, and then rinsed with lukewarm water for 1 minute. Excess water was wiped off with a tissue, completely dried with a dryer, and the color change (ΔE) value was measured in the same manner as above.

As shown in Tables 3 and 4, it was confirmed that the color development value increased significantly overall in Examples 3-8, which included taurine and/or sodium bicarbonate in a non-sulfate surfactant formulation, compared to the shampoo formulations prepared with air oxidation dyes and sulfate surfactants (Comparative Examples 6 and 7).

In particular, the color development value was further increased in Example 8, where sodium bicarbonate was additionally added to the composition of Example 3 containing taurine together with an air-oxidizing dye.

Soda ash and sodium bicarbonate, which are used as alkaline builders in detergents, appear to have a synergistic effect with taurine in terms of buffering effect.

6, 7).In addition, the coloring effect was confirmed when other air-oxidizing dyes were applied (Comparative Example 11 and Examples 6 and 7).
