Abstract
The invention relates to a battery unit (1) for the voltage supply of vehicles, stationary and mobile machines and equipment, comprising a housing (5) with at least one battery cell (10) and two connecting terminals (6, 7) on the end faces of the housing (5). In order to allow adequate short-circuit protection and to make it possible to discharge and charge the battery unit (1), provision is made for a battery unit (1) to be equipped with a fixed connecting terminal (6) which projects outwards from the housing (5) and is electrically connected to the negative terminal of the battery cell (4), and also a movable connecting terminal (7) which is axially movably mounted with insulation in the housing (5). The movable connecting terminal (7) is connected to the positive terminal of the battery cell (4) and can be drawn out of a guide sleeve by a strong magnet to allow contact to be made.
