Definitions
- the invention relates to orthoses, bandages and components for bandages and/or orthoses, in particular closure elements and closures, pads, which are preferably flexible.
- Fasteners made of two fastening elements such as Velcro fasteners, are well known. These fasteners can have a certain width depending on the application. This applies to belly fasteners, for example. This width can make the fasteners undesirably inflexible.
- Abdominal closures made of abdominal closure elements for bandages and orthoses are known, for example, from DE 10 2005 031 867 Al. These are often designed as Velcro fasteners.
- abdominal fasteners must have a certain width to ensure a secure hold, in particular to build up circular pressure and to maintain this circular pressure when the patient bends their torso without the abdominal fasteners opening accidentally. They are also difficult to bend to ensure this secure hold.
- the abdominal fastener presses uncomfortably into the body, particularly the abdomen.
- the disadvantage of abdominal fasteners on state-of-the-art bandages and orthoses is that for many patients the upper edge of the fastener presses into the abdomen or on the rib arches and the lower edge of the fastener presses into the groin area.
- the closure element has a plate-shaped stabilizing element which is slit along at least half the length of the stabilizing element on at least one of the two longitudinal edges.
- the slits of the stabilizing element increase flexibility, but the closure element still has disadvantageous rigidity and high edge pressure, especially in diverent patients. Even housing in velour does not eliminate the above disadvantages.
- Another disadvantage of the closure element is that the slits and the webs formed between them can cause cutting, for example in the abdominal area, and/or entrapment of soft, especially protruding, tissue of a patient.
- the technical problem underlying the invention is therefore to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages.
- the technical problem underlying the present invention is to provide orthoses, bandages and components of orthoses and bandages, for example fasteners, in particular abdominal fasteners or pads, which overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.
- the components of the bandages or orthoses, in particular fasteners should enable a bandage or orthosis to be held securely, for example, and yet be comfortable to wear, in particular without cutting in, for example in the abdominal area, and/or enclosing protruding tissue during movements and positions of the body, in particular the upper body, such as bending forward, sitting or turning.
- the pads should also be comfortable to wear, in particular without cutting in.
- a component of a bandage and/or orthosis is a component of a bandage and/or orthosis or an accessory associated with a bandage and/or orthosis.
- the component is flexible.
- the component of a bandage and/or orthosis is a flexible closure element, a flexible closure or a pad, in particular a flexible pad.

- the element is a pad base body or a pad or a plate-shaped stabilizing element, in particular a plate-shaped stabilizing element of a flexible closure element.
- At least two webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes are bridged at the outlet.
- the inclined and/or curved spokes have no bending from a starting plane, a first bending into a first plane, or a first bending into a first plane and at least one second bending into at least one second plane.
- the inclined and/or curved spokes have a first bend from an initial plane into a first plane and a second bend into a second plane.
- the inclined and/or curved spokes have a connection from one web end to at least one adjacent web end that is orthogonal to the web end, so that there is at least partial bridging, in particular straight, wave-shaped or serrated bridging, of webs, in particular at the outlet and/or in the longitudinal course of the webs, of the inclined spokes.
- the inclined and/or curved spokes have recesses and webs, wherein the recesses and webs extend over at least half the length and/or width of the component of an orthosis and/or bandage on at least one of the two longitudinal edges and/or at least one of the two transverse edges.
- the webs are as wide as the recesses between them or the webs are wider than the recesses between them or the recesses are wider than the webs.
- the length of the inclined and/or curved spokes is at least 0.3 cm.
- the inclined and/or curved spokes are honeycomb-shaped, diamond-shaped, semicircular or designed in another geometry.
- the inclined and/or curved spokes do not have a uniform length and/or shape.
- the inclined and/or curved spokes are holed or perforated or may have holes and/or slots of other geometric shapes.

Abstract
Description
BESCHREIBUNG DESCRIPTION
Orthesen, Bandagen und Komponenten für Bandagen und/oder Orthesen mit schräg stehenden Speichen Orthoses, supports and components for supports and/or orthoses with inclined spokes
The invention relates to orthoses, bandages and components for bandages and/or orthoses, in particular closure elements and closures, pads, which are preferably flexible.
Fasteners made of two fastening elements, such as Velcro fasteners, are well known. These fasteners can have a certain width depending on the application. This applies to belly fasteners, for example. This width can make the fasteners undesirably inflexible.
Abdominal closures made of abdominal closure elements for bandages and orthoses are known, for example, from DE 10 2005 031 867 Al. These are often designed as Velcro fasteners.
Such abdominal fasteners must have a certain width to ensure a secure hold, in particular to build up circular pressure and to maintain this circular pressure when the patient bends their torso without the abdominal fasteners opening accidentally. They are also difficult to bend to ensure this secure hold. When wearing the orthosis or bandage, particularly when bending the upper body forward or when sitting, the abdominal fastener presses uncomfortably into the body, particularly the abdomen. The disadvantage of abdominal fasteners on state-of-the-art bandages and orthoses is that for many patients the upper edge of the fastener presses into the abdomen or on the rib arches and the lower edge of the fastener presses into the groin area.
Flexible closure elements are known from DE 10 2012 009 250 A1. The closure element has a plate-shaped stabilizing element which is slit along at least half the length of the stabilizing element on at least one of the two longitudinal edges. The slits of the stabilizing element increase flexibility, but the closure element still has disadvantageous rigidity and high edge pressure, especially in corpulent patients. Even housing in velour does not eliminate the above disadvantages. Another disadvantage of the closure element is that the slits and the webs formed between them can cause cutting, for example in the abdominal area, and/or entrapment of soft, especially protruding, tissue of a patient.
The fundamental disadvantages of such closures can also occur with other components of supports or orthoses, especially flexible components that are bent when parts of the body move, such as pads.
The technical problem underlying the invention is therefore to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages. In particular, the technical problem underlying the present invention is to provide orthoses, bandages and components of orthoses and bandages, for example fasteners, in particular abdominal fasteners or pads, which overcome the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, the components of the bandages or orthoses, in particular fasteners, should enable a bandage or orthosis to be held securely, for example, and yet be comfortable to wear, in particular without cutting in, for example in the abdominal area, and/or enclosing protruding tissue during movements and positions of the body, in particular the upper body, such as bending forward, sitting or turning. The pads should also be comfortable to wear, in particular without cutting in.

The component of a bandage and/or orthosis is preferably a flexible closure element, a flexible closure or a pad, in particular a flexible pad. However, other components or parts or elements of an orthosis and/or bandage can also have the slanted and/or curved spokes in the edge area and/or in a window. The technical problem underlying the invention is also solved in particular by the provision of a flexible closure element, wherein the closure element has a plate-shaped stabilizing element, characterized in that the plate-shaped stabilizing element has inclined and/or curved spokes in the edge region and/or in a window.
According to the invention, it is accordingly provided to provide a flexible closure element. According to the invention, the flexible closure element has a plate-shaped stabilizing element. According to the invention, the plate-shaped stabilizing element has inclined and/or curved spokes. According to the invention, the inclined spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element are preferably inclined within a starting plane, i.e. preferably tilted from a straight line that is orthogonal within the starting plane and starts from the imaginary lower edge of the starting plane, in particular tilted by at least 0.1°, and have no curvature. According to the invention, the curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element preferably have a curvature within the starting plane, i.e. an arcuate deviation from a straight line and are slanted or not slanted. According to the invention, the plate-shaped stabilizing element has the slanted and/or curved spokes in the edge region and/or in a window. The plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention therefore has slanted and/or curved spokes in the edge region and/or in a window, wherein the slanted and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element mean that the flexible closure element according to the invention, in particular the edge region and/or the window of the closure element according to the invention, is advantageously designed to be particularly flexible, in particular more flexible than closure elements from the prior art. Preferably, the edge pressure of the flexible closure element according to the invention is reduced by the slanted and/or curved spokes in the edge region and/or in a window of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention, in particular without impairing the stability of the closure element according to the invention. When pressure is applied vertically to the slanted and/or curved spokes, particularly in the edge region and/or in a window near the edge region, of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention, the force input is advantageously dampened or cushioned, i.e. reduced, by the slanted position and/or curvature of the spokes. This dampening or cushioning is caused by a controlled bending of the slanted and/or curved spokes. This controlled bending or compression of the slanted and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention reduces the load and the force input on the surrounding, soft, particularly protruding, fabric of the wearer of the flexible closure element according to the invention. Preferably, the guided bending or compression of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention increases the wearing comfort of the wearer of the flexible closure element according to the invention, wherein in particular the stability of the flexible closure element according to the invention is not reduced.
Without being bound to theory, the adjustment, in particular the increase, of the flexibility of the flexible closure element according to the invention, in particular in an initial plane, is achieved by pre-bending the spokes which are not yet inclined and/or curved in this initial plane, whereby the inclined position and/or the curvature of the spokes is achieved. The slanted and/or curved spokes of the flexible closure element according to the invention are particularly preferably pre-bent into a first plane, i.e. a plane deviating from the starting plane, whereby the bending of the slanted and/or curved spokes is achieved and the flexibility is adjusted, in particular further increased. A single or double pre-bending of the slanted and/or curved spokes, i.e. into a first plane or a first and a second plane, preferably specifies the bending direction of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention for a predetermined force input. In a particularly advantageous manner, the flexibility of the flexible closure element according to the invention can be adjusted, in particular increased, by pre-bending the slanted and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention, in particular in comparison with closure elements known from the prior art. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the flexibility of the flexible closure element according to the invention is additionally adjusted via the material thickness.
According to the invention, the closure element according to the invention particularly advantageously enables a smooth transition, for example from a belly closure having the flexible closure element according to the invention to the body of the wearer, in particular a smoother transition than belly closures which have flexible closure elements from the prior art.
According to the invention, the wearing comfort of the closure element according to the invention is preferably improved by the inclined and/or curved spokes in the edge region and/or in a window of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention, in particular compared to closure elements from the prior art.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention have no bending, preferably at least one bending, in particular at least two bendings, in particular at least three bendings, in particular at least four bendings.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention have a first bend in a first plane.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the The flexible closure element according to the invention has a first bend in a first plane and a second bend in a second plane.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inclined position and/or curvature of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention is achieved by pre-bending the not yet inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the at least one bending of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention is achieved by pre-bending, in particular at least one pre-bending, of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention.
Preferably, the pre-bending of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention determines the bending direction of the flexible closure element according to the invention.
Without wishing to be bound by theory, the pre-bending or at least one bending of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention particularly advantageously achieves an increased flexibility of the flexible closure element according to the invention, in particular a higher flexibility than closure elements from the prior art. Preferably, the flexibility of the flexible closure element according to the invention is further increased by at least one second bending (in relation to the already increased flexibility of the flexible closure element according to the invention due to the first bending). Particularly preferably, for example, an abdominal closure having the flexible closure element according to the invention can thus enable a smoother transition from the abdominal closure to the body of a patient, in particular a smoother transition from the abdominal closure having the flexible closure element according to the invention to the body of a patient than an abdominal closure having a closure element from the prior art. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element are bent in one, in particular in two different, planes. Hard or soft transitions for orthoses are particularly preferably provided in this way.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention have a connection from one web end to at least one adjacent web end that is orthogonal to the web end, so that there is at least partial bridging, in particular straight, wave-shaped or jagged bridging, of webs, in particular at the outlet and/or in the longitudinal course of the webs, of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention. Preferably, this at least partial bridging of webs, in particular at the outlet and/or in the longitudinal course of the webs, of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention corresponds to a window.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes are bridged in a straight, wavy or serrated manner at the outlet.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes are bridged in a wave-like manner at the outlet.
Without wishing to be bound to theory, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the wave-shaped bridging at the end of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention reduces the load and the force input to the surrounding, soft, in particular protruding, tissue of the wearer of the flexible closure element according to the invention compared to a straight bridging. Preferably, the flexible closure element according to the invention adapts better to the body surface of the wearer of the flexible closure element according to the invention due to the wave-shaped bridging at the end of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element compared to a straight bridging. Preferably, the wave-shaped bridging at the end of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention minimize cutting into the skin of the wearer.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the closure element according to the invention have at least one, in particular at least two, in particular at least three, in particular at least four, in particular at most ten, in particular at most eight, in particular at most six, in particular at most four, straight, wave-shaped and/or serrated bridge(s) in the longitudinal course of the webs.
Without wishing to be bound by theory, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the stability of the closure element according to the invention is increased by the at least one bridging in the longitudinal course of the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the closure element according to the invention, in particular in comparison to plate-shaped stabilizing elements which do not have a bridging in the longitudinal course of the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the closure element according to the invention have at least one, in particular at least two, in particular at least three, in particular at least four, in particular at most ten, in particular at most eight, in particular at most six, in particular at most four, straight, wave-shaped and/or serrated bridge(s) in the longitudinal course of the webs and are bridged at the outlet by a straight, wave-shaped or serrated bridge.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the closure element according to the invention have at least one, in particular at least two, in particular at least three, in particular at least four, in particular at most ten, in particular at most eight, in particular at most six, in particular at most four, straight, wave-shaped and/or jagged bridge(s) in the longitudinal course of the webs and are not bridged at the outlet. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the flexible closure element according to the invention has a plate-shaped stabilizing element, wherein the plate-shaped stabilizing element has inclined and/or curved spokes in the edge region and/or in a window, wherein the webs of the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the closure element according to the invention are bridged in the longitudinal direction and/or in the run-out of the webs by at least one, in particular wave-shaped, straight or jagged, bridge, whereby the recesses are partially S-shaped, straight or diamond-shaped. In a preferred embodiment, the recesses, which are partially S-shaped, straight or diamond-shaped, have a small structure and are distributed over a large area, whereby they are present in a higher number on the same area than recesses known in the prior art, which reduces, in particular minimizes, cutting into the skin of the wearer, in particular skin irritations, and enables a good, flat application to, for example, the stomach of the wearer.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inclined and/or curved spokes of the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention have recesses and webs, wherein the recesses and webs extend over at least half the length and/or width of the stabilizing element on at least one of the two longitudinal edges and/or at least one of the two transverse edges.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the plate-shaped stabilizing element of the flexible closure element according to the invention has inclined and/or curved spokes on at least one of the two longitudinal edges and/or at least one of the two transverse edges over the full length, in particular over three quarters of the full length, in particular over half of the full length.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the webs of the plate-shaped stabilizing element which are inclined and/or curved on at least one of the two longitudinal edges and/or at least one of the transverse edges are at most half as wide as the recesses present between the webs. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the webs are as wide as the recesses therebetween or the webs are wider than the recesses therebetween or the recesses are wider than the webs.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the web width of the webs of the spokes decreases in the longitudinal direction in the direction of the outlet. The webs and thus also the spokes become narrower, i.e. taper, starting from the middle of the plate-shaped stabilizing element to the outer edge of the plate-shaped stabilizing element. Without wishing to be bound to theory, spring effects can be set by tapering the webs and thus also the spokes, whereby the flexible belly closure according to the invention becomes more flexible, especially in comparison to belly closures known in the prior art, since it can spring in a direction following the taper.

A Velcro fastener (24) is placed on the second elastic cover layer (21), for example sewn or glued, with which the abdominal closure element can be connected to a second abdominal closure element, which also has a Velcro fastener, to form an abdominal closure. One end of the cover layer (22) is designed as a Velcro mouth fastener (30), with which the abdominal closure can be attached to a belt or an orthosis.
Figure 5 shows an abdominal closure element (100) according to the invention with the first elastic cover layer (21) from Figure 3, the second elastic cover layer (22) from Figure 4 and the plate-shaped stabilizing element (10) from Figure 1. The elastic cover layers (21, 22) consist of a textile sheet material.
The first elastic cover layer (21) is partially opened up to allow a view of the plate-shaped stabilizing element (10) located between the two elastic cover layers (21, 22). This also allows the inner sides (21r, 22r) of the two cover layers to be seen. Normally, the plate-shaped stabilizing element (10) and the inner sides (21r, 22r) are not visible because the two elastic cover layers (21, 22) are connected to one another at least at their edges, for example glued or sewn.
Due to the special construction with curved recesses (14) and webs (12) in the lower edge area and with similar curved recesses and webs in the upper A particularly comfortable elastic zone is designed in the longitudinal edge area (not visible) of the stabilizing element (10), which enables a better fit to different body shapes. Furthermore, the elastic edge zones of the abdominal closure element (100) thus obtained allow unrestricted abdominal breathing.
The first elastic cover layer (21) has an attached pocket (23) on the outside that is adapted to the shape of the hand. This is suitable for a hand to grip, so that the abdominal closure element can be easily pulled and connected to a second abdominal closure element when putting on a bandage or orthosis.
At one end of the abdominal closure element (100) there is a part (30) that opens like a mouth and has Velcro surfaces on the inside. This part (30) allows the abdominal closure element (100) to be attached to a belt, a bandage or an orthosis and to be released again if necessary.

Between the recesses (1313), the stabilizing element (1310) has webs (1311) in the edge area, which form spokes with the recesses (1313). The webs (1311) are connected, i.e. bridged, in the longitudinal course of the webs and at the outlet via jagged bridges (1317). The recesses (1313) are partially diamond-shaped due to the jagged bridges (1317).
The webs (1311) and thus the spokes partially have an S- shaped curvature, i.e. a curvature in a first direction and a second curvature in the opposite, second direction.
The knee pad has an inner opening, i.e. window (1420), which can enclose the kneecap. The pad (1410) has a number of recesses (1413) on the edge of the window (1420) and between the recesses (1413)
