It also possess ideal viscosity at temperatures between 40 °C and 100 °C, and provides good viscosity index for the base oil and lubricant, which are the limiting factors for a base stock. Studies showed that these properties were improved by adding Jojoba oil to lubricating oils resulting in widening the scope of its utilization in developing lubricant formulations.

Ozonations are preferably carried out in the presence of a protic solvent such as alcohol and/or water.

Viscosity of the lubricating oil is decreased while increasing fuel efficiency, in particular the fuel efficiency at low engine rotation. Besides, wearing of the sliding members is reduced while obtaining a high- temperature oxidation stability.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une composition d'huile lubrifiante comprenant de l'huile de jojoba ozonée et de la lécithine liquide ozonée. Un effet amélioré est obtenu si de l'huile de ricin, de préférence ozonée et éthoxylée, est ajoutée à la composition. La composition d'huile lubrifiante de l'invention réduit la consommation de carburant, offre une protection contre l'usure et confère une stabilité à l'oxydation à haute température ainsi qu'une viscosité réduite dans des moteurs à combustion interne.
