Abstract

The present invention discloses a dice system that generates digits to be used with entertainment items (4) for celebrations. The dice system is configured with a hexahedron or cube body, formed by two parts (1, 2) that can be separated from each other: a top part (1) and a bottom part (2), where the top part (1) and the bottom part (2) can be attached together by attachment means (3) which allows said parts (1, 2) to rotate. The top part (1) comprises an upper surface (1a) and four upper side surfaces (1b, 1c, 1d, 1e) with established marks and the bottom part (2) comprises a lower surface (2a) and four lower side surfaces (2b, 2c, 2d, 2e) with established marks, such that rotating the parts generates digits.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

The present invention relates to a product developed for celebrations as an innovative solution in terms of logistics, sustainability and materiality.

In order to encourage reuse to reduce waste, taking advantage of efficient content management, the invention relates to a multiple die system that allows the development of a line of products that can be used in a multitude of celebrations or activities, enabling a wide variety of uses by anyone.

BACKGROUND

At various types of celebrations, a large number of items are usually available to distinguish a celebration and are used to entertain the participants. The major problem with the use of this type of items is that most of them are single-use items, which are thrown away once the celebration is over.

In this sense, the invention seeks to solve the problem of reusing celebration items, in particular, items related to numbers, i.e. those that show the age or year. In this way, the invention allows the item to be reused, despite changing the age or year number, by means of an element that generates said change.

In the state of the art there are various solutions, which, starting from a particular element, it is possible to obtain different digits. For example, document US2023297 A relates to a die comprising a central element ending in a conical end forming a flange on said central element, said central element having a stem at the other end, an indicia-bearing bearing body mounted to rotate with the central element substantially in the centre thereof and forming a channel with the flange, a a disk mounted in the channel formed by said indicia-bearing bearing body and flange, a second disk mounted on the indicia-bearing bearing body next to the stem of the central element, and a washer mounted on the base of the stem to retain said last so-called disk, said disks having indicia corresponding to the indicia fixed to said central body, said disks also being freely rotatable on the central element relative to the central indicia-bearing element and having a substantial mass.

Another solution is shown in document US2794644 A, which describes a spinning top-shaped gaming device, comprising a rotating tip at one end and a rotating head at the other, a shaft portion between said ends, a pair of physically similar die elements loosely mounted on said shaft portion for rotation relative to each other and thereto, each of said die members having a hexagonal periphery in a cross section perpendicular to said shaft portion and six faces substantially parallel to said shaft portion, said six faces having different numbers of indications from one to six, said die members radially depending on the remaining parts of said gaming device, a weight member at the lower end of said shaft below said die members, the largest diametrical dimension of said weight member being only slightly smaller than the distance between parallel faces of a die member, and washers formed of material having different coefficients of friction for the transfer of torque to each of said die members whereby the variation in the speeds of rotation is effected. rotation between said array of members during operation of said gaming device, said die member having a convexly curved outer surface.

Document W08800854 A1 describes a one- or two-piece die cap with hexagonal cross section. The two-piece die top comprises a hexagonal conical base portion to which a manipulator stem is attached and a hexagonal prism top which rotates freely on the stem adjacent to the base. US1374243 A describes a gaming instrument used for spinning, consisting of a central stem with a rotating tip at one end, a numbered die rigidly attached to the stem, and a die rotatably mounted on the stem so that the fixed die rotates when the implement is dropped.

Document US4371165 A describes a game of chance that includes a game board with a plurality of sections therein, in which the sections are labeled with indicator vapors, or combinations thereof, and corresponding probabilities. A chance indicator device for simultaneously selecting one of said indicators and a game command. The device includes two sections rotatably attached to each other, wherein one section is friction-fitted about an axle so that it cannot rotate relative thereto, and the other section is rotatably mounted on the axle. Both sections are identically shaped so that they can be interchangeably mounted on the axle by themselves or in combination, one section containing indicia on its faces and the other section containing game commands on its faces. The device is rotated about the game board to select cues and/or game commands.

US4865324 A describes a puzzle comprising: a plurality of wheel elements, each having an axis and each having first and second opposed faces and a peripheral edge forming a symbol, said wheel elements being magnetic with the first face of each element magnetically attracted to the second face of another element; the first face of each element having a circular groove concentric with the axis of the element, and the second face of each element having a plurality of protuberances formed to be received in the groove of another element, the elements being held in a stack with their axes coincident substantially only by magnetic force, and each element being removable from an adjacent element in the stack by moving it substantially perpendicular to its axis.

US6146721 A describes a device for displaying simultaneous alternative facial expressions, comprising: a first block member having a plurality of first regions, each first region including a representation of an upper section of a face and containing exclusively a pair of eyebrows, wherein the representations in the first regions differ from each other; a second block member having a plurality of second regions, each second region including a representation of a middle section of a face and including a pair of eyes; wherein the representations in the second regions differ from each other; a third block element having a plurality of third regions, each third region having a representation of a lower section of a face and containing exclusively a mouth and a lower portion of a nose, where the representations in the third regions differ from each other; said first and second block members having complementary edges and said second and third block members having complementary edges to present any of a series of possible facial expressions when a first region is aligned with a second region and a third region in which said first block has a tapered top and said third block has a tapered bottom.

However, these solutions are not aimed directly at being used in entertainment items for celebrations, and that they can be used in a multitude of celebrations or activities, being used by anyone, depending on the need.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a system comprising at least one rotating die. The rotating die is configured as a hexahedron or six-sided die. Each face has a figure such that the die is capable of generating up to ten digits, represented in Arabic numerals.

The die is made up of two parts, an upper part and a lower part. Both parts are rotated relative to each other to combine the different digits on their sides. The digits have a modular typography that, by combining its parts, it is possible to generate the ten digits, from zero to nine.

The main objective of the invention is to be able to generate numbers between zero and nine using an object. In this way, by combining more than one of these rotating dice, it is possible to generate numbers, which can be used in articles for celebrations, such as candles or entertainment objects, where it is required to indicate the age or year, and which can be reused later. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention, which corresponds to a rotating dice system, which allows reusing entertainment items for celebrations, taking advantage of the possibility that each rotating dice generates a digit that can represent an age or a year, depending on the celebration.

FIG. 1 shows a rotating die, which is configured as a hexahedron or cube body (100) made up of two separable parts (1, 2) from each other: an upper part (1) and a lower part (2). The upper part (1) and the lower part (2) have a hooking relationship between them, by means of a hooking means (3), as shown in FIG. 3. The hooking means (3) designed to keep the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) together, and which in turn allows said parts (1, 2) to rotate with respect to each other, thus configuring the hexahedron or cube body (100).

The upper part (1) corresponds to an element that, when viewed from above, comprises a square cross section. Said upper part (1) comprises an upper face (1a) and four upper lateral faces (1b, 1c, 1d, 1e) and a lower face (1f). The lower part (2) corresponds to an element that, when viewed from above, comprises a square cross section. Said lower part (2) comprises a lower face (2a) and four lower lateral faces (2b, 2c, 2d, 2e) and an upper face (2f). In this way, the configuration of the cube (100) establishes that the upper face (1a) of the upper part (1) and the lower face (2a) of the lower part (2) correspond to fixed faces. The fixed faces are reserved for the digits one and two, which may be located either on the upper face (1a) or on the lower face (2a). Consequently, the lower face (1f) of the upper part (1) and the upper face (2f) of the lower part (2) are joined by means of the hooking means (3).

In this way, the described configuration and the rotation between the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) allows the generation of the rest of the digits by means of established marks. An example of said marks can be seen in FIG. 4. The combination of the marks established on the upper side faces (1 b, 1 c, 1d, 1 e) and the lower side faces (2b, 2c, 2d, 2e) allows the formation of the remaining numbers (FIG. 4).

For illustrative purposes, each mark will be detailed below with a respective upper side face and lower side face, however, any expert will be able to understand that said marks may be interchangeably on any other side face, as illustrated in FIG. 4.

In one example of the invention, the first upper side face (1 b) has as an established mark two parallel vertical lines joined by an arc at the top, which allows the upper part of the digit "zero" to be configured. The second upper side face (1 c) has as an established mark a vertical line from whose center a horizontal line extends to the right, in which from its other end a diagonal line extends to the lower left part, which allows the upper part of the digits to be configured. “three” and “seven” and the lower part of the digit “four”. The third upper side face (1d) has a vertical line as a mark, from whose center a horizontal line extends to the left, and from its other end a vertical line extends to the lower part, which allows the upper part of the digit “five” to be configured. Finally, the fourth upper side face (1e) has a circle as a mark, which allows the upper part of the digits “eight” and “nine” to be configured, and the lower part of the digit “six”.

Continuing with the example, the first lower side face (2b) has as a mark two parallel vertical lines joined by an arc at the bottom, which allows the lower part of the digit “zero” to be configured. The second lower side face (2c) has as a mark an open arc to the right, which allows the lower part of the digits “three” and “five” to be configured. The third lower side face (2d) has as a mark a diagonal line that extends to the lower left, which allows the lower part of the digits “seven” and “nine” and the upper part of the digit “six” to be configured. Finally, the fourth lower side face (2e) has as a mark a circle which allows the lower part of the digit “eight” to be configured.

As an embodiment of the invention, the hooking means (3), which allows rotation between the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) is shaped as a cylindrical projection (3a) arranged on the upper face (2f) of the lower part (2), which is inserted into a cylindrical opening (3b), arranged on the lower face (1f) of the upper part (1), thus producing a perfect fit relationship, allowing rotation of the parts relative to each other. In this way, the relative rotation between the upper and lower parts (1, 2) allows generating different digits from the fit between the respective upper side faces (1b, 1c, 1d, 1e) and lower side faces (2b, 2c, 2d, 2e).

The rotating die (100) is used in entertainment articles (4), which may include masks, crowns, candle holders, etc., as shown in FIG. 5a and 5b, where it is required to indicate the age or year, according to the celebration. In order to place the rotating die (100), the entertainment article (4) comprises an insert box (4a), where the rotating die is placed. rotating die (100). Said insert box has an opening in the front of the entertainment article (4) so that it can display the digit indicated on the rotating die (100).

The entertainment item (4) may have a series of graphic elements that identify the corresponding celebration and that are associated with the number indicated by the at least one rotating die (100).

Claims

1. A rotating die system that allows the generation of digits to be used in entertainment articles (4) for celebrations, CHARACTERIZED in that it has a hexahedron or cube body configuration, made up of two separable parts (1, 2) from each other: an upper part (1) and a lower part (2), where the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) have an engagement relationship, by means of an engagement means (3) that allows rotation between said parts (1, 2), where the upper part (1) comprises an upper face (1a) and four upper side faces (1b, 1c, 1d, 1e) with established marks; and the lower part (2) comprises a lower face (2a) and four lower side faces (2b, 2c, 2d, 2e) with established marks, so that rotation between the parts allows the generation of digits. 2. The die system according to claim 1, CHARACTERIZED in that the upper part (1) and the lower part (2) seen from above have a square cross section. 3. The die system according to claim 2, CHARACTERIZED in that the engagement relationship by means of the engagement means occurs between a lower face (1f) of the upper part (1) and an upper face (2f) of the lower part (2). 4. The die system according to claim 3, CHARACTERIZED in that the hooking means (3) is shaped as a cylindrical projection (3a) arranged on the upper face (2f) of the lower part (2), which is inserted into a cylindrical opening (3b), arranged on the lower face (1f) of the upper part (1). 5. The dice system according to claim 1, CHARACTERIZED in that the entertainment article (4) comprises at least one insert box (4a), where at least one rotating dice (100) is placed. 6. The dice system according to claim 5, CHARACTERIZED in that said insert box has an opening in a front part of the entertainment article (4) so that it can display the digit indicated on the rotating dice (100). 7. The dice system according to claim 6, CHARACTERIZED in that the entertainment item (4) is included in the group of masks, crowns, candle holders, etc. 8. The dice system according to claim 7, CHARACTERIZED in that the entertainment article (4) has a series of graphic elements that identify the corresponding celebration and that are associated with the number indicated by the at least one rotating dice (100).
