L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de traitement de déchets, lesdits déchets comprenant une pluralité de matériaux, ledit appareil comprenant : un récipient, pour recevoir une partie desdits déchets, ledit récipient comportant une paroi verticale, ladite paroi verticale comportant un agencement de tamis et un agencement de démêlage; au moins deux manivelles rotatives positionnées dans une partie inférieure dudit récipient, adjacentes l'une à l'autre et disposées pour tourner dans un plan de rotation mutuel, pour déchirer ladite partie desdits déchets en une partie de déchets déchirés, en soumettant ladite partie desdits déchets entre lesdites au moins deux manivelles rotatives, ledit agencement de démêlage étant positionné dans la circonférence desdites manivelles rotatives, pour démêler ladite partie de déchets déchirés en une partie de déchets déchirés démêlés, ledit agencement de démêlage comprenant : des saillies disposées sur ladite paroi verticale et s'étendant à l'intérieur dudit récipient, pour démêler ladite partie de déchets déchirés, ledit agencement de tamis se trouvant dans la circonférence desdites manivelles rotatives, ledit agencement de tamis comprenant une pluralité de sections de tamisage, lesdites sections de tamis étant réparties sur ladite paroi verticale et disposées à un angle d'inclinaison par rapport à la direction de la circonférence dudit récipient, et agencées pour séparer un premier flux de ladite partie de déchets déchirés démêlés, ledit premier flux comprenant un premier matériau de ladite pluralité de matériaux, en faisant glisser, au moyen desdites au moins deux manivelles rotatives, ladite partie de déchets déchirés démêlés contre ladite pluralité de sections de tamis.
