Abstract
Cellular glycans play important roles in biology by regulating many essential functions, including cell communications, homeostasis, immunomodulation, and embryogenesis. While proteoglycans, glycoproteins, and glycosphingolipids have been widely studied, glycosylated RNAs (glycoRNAs) have recently been discovered on the surfaces of multiple cell types, organisms, and species. The present invention describes compositions for use in a proximity assay for detecting glycosylated molecules in a sample, and methods of use of the compositions for a proximity assay for detecting glycosylated molecules.
