Definitions
- the present invention relates to a social networking platform. More particularly, the present invention relates to a social network system for connecting Islamic entities with each other and general users.
- Social networking involves the development and maintenance of relationships using technology.
- Social networking sites allow people and corporations to connect with one another so they can develop relationships as well as share information, ideas, and messages among them in virtual communities and networks.
- a social network comprises web-based services that allow individuals to construct a profile within a bounded network, identify lists of other users as connections, and interact with users on their lists and with users on other lists via these connections established within the network.
- the critical features of the networks are the profiles of various users and the relationships established among these profiles.
- a user of a particular social network is required to identify others, e.g., friends, in the network to establish these connections. Therefore, a social network comprises web-based services that people use to build social networks or social relations with other people who share similar personal or career interests, activities, backgrounds or real-life connections.
- WO201 3008128A1 provides a virtual mentoring social network site application.
- the virtual mentoring social network enables auto-matches based on attribute specifics such as gender, age, and personality interest in one consolidated social media application site for virtual communicating within a social mentoring network environment.
- the virtual auto-matched-based virtual mentoring site collects a plurality of answers from embedded site questions, similar in context, all designed to automatch youth with an adult based on personal, career, hobby, academic, and personality similarities.
- the virtual social network site simultaneously applies autogenerated business intelligence rules of engagement and social logic reasoning to auto-match virtual mentees and virtual mentors one-on-one or one-to-many to establish virtual relationships for short and long-distance learning, mentoring, academic attitude and career enhancement.
- US20090063304A1 discloses a social purchasing, networking, and ranking method and system for linking consumers and merchants who share similar social values, personal values, and personal contacts or referrals.
- the invention may allow both a consumer and merchant to associate specific criteria such as personal values, religious faith, hobbies, interests, affiliations, political party, favorite charitable organization, social responsibility value, and the like with their respective profiles.
- a conventional electronic network, or web, search by the consumer launches a first graphical user interface module wherein a list of participating merchants is searched for keyword matches, and then ranked according to the preselected criteria such as the social values, personal referrals, and geographic location of the participating merchant.
- the invention allows a user (consumer) to guide their transactions and interactions toward merchants sharing similar values, interest, affiliations, and the like, to further rank merchants by personal referral and geographic proximity to the user. Additionally, the specific type and number of shared criteria may be graphically depicted to the consumer via at least one icon displayed in conjunction with the advertisements or other information displayed by each of the respective participating merchants.
- the aforementioned references may strive to provide the improved social networking systems. Nevertheless, none of the aforementioned references provides a consolidated social networking platform dedicated for connecting Islamic entities with each other and general users. Furthermore, there is no social networking platform capable of verifying authenticity of the Islamic entities prior to the Islamic entities joining the social network platform. Moreover, there is no social networking platform designed to provide comprehensive services to cater to daily needs of the general users.
