- the capillary channels are channels that extend substantially from a first edge 150 of the card 100 to a second edge 160 of the card 100, the second edge 160 being directionally opposite to the first edge 150.
- the capillary channels are hollow, e.g., they are concave or sunken so that they form a depressed or low part of the surface of second side 130.
- the array of capillary channels 135 enables smoke resulting from the burning consumption of the smokable substance 140 to move essentially in one direction, e.g., in the direction toward the second edge 160 of the smokable card 100 from the first edge 150 of the smokable card 100.
- the capillary channels 135 direct the smoke from the first edge 150 to the second edge 160 of the smokable card 100.
- some of the capillary channels 135 may extend on the second side 130 of smokable card 100 to, and/or under, the areas of one or more of the shallow cavities 125, when side 120 is considered to be the top side of smokable card 100.
- the capillary channels 135 are interconnected so that the smoke may flow not only from first edge 150 of the card 100 to the second edge 160 of the card 100 but may also flow between the capillary channels 135 that are positioned next to each other.

- some of the capillary channels 135 may be interconnected while others are not.
- the array of capillary channels 135 determines the bum rate of the smokable substance 140. Different bum rates may be achieved by employing different arrangements of the capillary channels 135, different thicknesses of the capillary channels 135, and so on. For example, a first smokable card having a first array of capillary channels having a first set of characteristics may have a bum rate of 5 millimeter per second and a second smokable card having a second array of capillary channels having a second set of characteristics may have a bum rate of 10 millimeter per second. In an embodiment, different areas of the smokable card 100 may have different bum rates, depending on the design of the capillary channels 135.
- the design of the smokable card 100 to achieve a desired bum rate may be determined by trial and error, as the bum rate depends on various factors such as the material of which the smokeable card is made and the arrangement and thickness of the capillary channels that are implemented in the smokable card 100, as noted above.
- the use of the array of capillary channels 135 improves the experience of the consumption of the smokable substance 140 thereby overcoming the poor user experience of the prior art.
- the dimensions of the smokable card 100 may be 90 mm in length, 50 mm in width, and 1 mm in thickness. In such an embodiment, the depth of both shallow cavities 125 and capillary channels 135 would be less than 1 mm. It should be noted that these dimensions are merely examples and other dimensions may be used without departing from the scope of this disclosure.
- the smokable card 100 may be fully charged, i.e. , all of shallow cavities 125 are completely filled with the smokable substance 140, as shown in illustrative isometric view of an embodiment of smokable card 100 shown in FIG. 2A.
- smokable card 100 may be only partially charged, i.e., only some of cavities 125 are filled with the smokable substance 140, as shown in illustrative isometric view of an embodiment of smokable card 100 shown in FIG. 2B, where the black cavities are filled with the smokable substance 140 and the white ones are not filled.
- the smokable card 100 may be charged with different types of smokable substances 140.
- a smokable card 100 may include a first type of smokable substance and a second type of smokable substance having different characteristics, such as, different tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) levels, different flavors, etc.
- a single smokable card e.g., the smokable card 100, may include a smokable cannabis substance, e.g., cannabinoid, that is deposited within a first group of the shallow cavities 125, and tobacco, which is deposited within a second group of the shallow cavities 125.
- the smokable substance 140 may include smokable substances having different flavors, different fragrances, and so on.
- a single smokable card 100 may include several smokable substances, for example cannabis substances, each having different strength levels. That is, for example, different compounds of cannabis substance, e.g., cannabinoids, having different THC levels, may be implemented into the same smokable card 100.
- the different smokable substances may be arranged within the shallow cavities 125 such that a user can consume each of the different compounds having, for example, different THC levels, separately.
- each shallow cavity of the plurality of shallow cavities 125 may contain therein a different smokable substance 140 so that the smokable substance in each shallow cavity 125 has different flavor, a different fragrance, a different THC level, and so on.

- the smokable card 100 may be rolled such that the second side 130 covers the first side 120 while keeping the first edge 150 in an opposite direction with respect to the second edge 160.

- the array of capillary channels 135 is covered by the first side 120. That is, the smokable substance 140 is shown and the array of capillary channels 135 is covered. It should be noted that the smokable substance 140 may be covered and protected by a coating layer, as further discuss in greater detail herein. According to a further embodiment, a filter (not shown) may be integrated into the first side 120 of the smokable card 100 by depositing the filter into a portion of the plurality of shallow cavities 125.

- the coating layer 170 may be utilized for protecting the smokable substance 140 and extend its shelf life. It should be noted that protecting the smokable substance 140 may include, for example, preventing the exposure of the smokable substance to humidity, preserve the potency of smokable substances, e.g., preserving THC level of cannabis, and so on. [038] According to one embodiment, the coating layer 170 may be transparent. According to another embodiment, the coating layer 170 covers the first side 120 such that the smokable substance 140 is totally covered and cannot be seen.
- the coating layer 170 may be used as a substrate on which visual content, such as marketing content, warnings, and any other information, may be printed or otherwise implemented.
- the visual content e.g., marketing content, warnings, etc.
- the visual content may also be printed or otherwise implemented on the first side 120 and/or on the second side 130 of the smokable card 100. That is, the visual content may be printed or otherwise implemented on the smokable card 100 before the coating layer 170 is implemented, or even without the coating layer 170 at all.
- the visual content may be indicative of the precise amount of smokable substance, e.g., THC level, in each section, e.g., in each millimeter, of the smokable card 100.
- FIG. 5A shows an illustrative isometric view of a smokable card 100 with a glue strip 180 that can be seen distinct from smokable card 100 thus rendering it more easily visualized for pedagogical purposes.
- FIG. 5B shows an illustrative isometric view of a smokable card 100 with the glue strip 180 applied thereon.
- the glue strip 180 may be implemented over the second side 130 by depositing the glue strip 180 onto at least one margin 190, e.g., the margin 190A and/or the margin 190B of FIG. 5A, of the second side 130.

- the width of the glue strip 180 may be in a range between 2 millimeter to 5 millimeter.

- the disclosed smokable card has many advantages. It is easy to use and requires no skill to use it. Therefore, even inexperienced users can use it.
- the smokable card may be made of hemp, which is produced from cannabis, and not from paper, which is produced from trees, thereby saving trees. Thus, using hemp is advantageous as it is better for the environment.
- Each smokable card that is produced may have a known and precise amount of the particular smokable substance or substances that one chooses to incorporate therein, e.g., cannabis.
- the smokable substance may be optimally distributed over the smokable card such that a consistent and pleasant user experience is created.
- Smokable card 100 may be produced by a method that includes forming on a substrate having a first side and a second side, the second side being opposite to the first side, a plurality of shallow cavities within the first side; and forming a plurality of capillary channels within the second side, wherein the plurality of capillary channels extend substantially from a first edge of the smokable card to a second edge of the smokable card, the second edge being directionally opposite to the first edge.
