Abstract
A vehicle interior air cleaner, characterized by comprising an outdoor unit (11) to allow air to enter the vehicle, at least one outdoor air intake duct (15) that allows the air from the outdoor unit (11) to enter the air cleaner, at least one inlet duct (6) that allows the inside air to enter the air cleaner, an internal sensor (13) that detects and transmits the amount of particles and pollutants in the air taken from inside the vehicle through the inlet duct (6), an external sensor (14) that detects and transmits the amount of particles and pollutants in the air taken from outside the vehicle, at least one electronic card (8) that sends commands to the fans (9) that provide indoor and outdoor air circulation by analyzing the amount of particles and pollutants transmitted by indoor sensor (13), at least one filter (4), which ensures that the air entering through the fans (9) is cleaned from harmful particles by filtering, at least one outlet duct (3) where fresh air taken from outside or cleaned air taken from inside is sent into the vehicle by fans (9).
Description
VEHICLE INTERIOR AIR CLEANER
Technical Field
The invention relates to a vehicle interior air cleaner.
In particular, the invention relates to a vehicle interior air cleaner, used in public transportation vehicles, mounted inside of the vehicles, cleans the air receives from both the exterior and the interior and gives it inside and shows the quality of the air in the vehicle to the user.
State of the Art
Air cleaners are generally portable devices. Therefore, they have no direct connection with the outdoor and they are operated manually.
Air cleaning devices used in the state of art perform the cleaning function depending on a limited number of air quality parameters such as PM and VOCs. It is mainly based on PM (dust). However, since only dust or VOCs measurement does not provide realistic and sufficient information about air quality, these devices, which operate based on a limited number of parameters, do not provide adequate cleaning.
In the research conducted on the subject, the patent application numbered TR2020/06743 and "AIR CLEANING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR VIRUS AND BACTERIA" was found. In the said system, the energy cable on a main cabin is connected to the vehicle’s energy and activates the system. Here, the device whose energy is activated works as long as the vehicle’s ignition is on. The air cleaning device draws the air inside the vehicle through the air intake duct, by means of the air suction fan. The sucked air first passes through the pre-filter and reaches the nanotechnological filter, where viruses and bacteria are cleaned, and the cleaned air is finally discharged back into the vehicle through the air outlet duct, by means of the air blower fan. However, the device works without any pollution in this application. The operation of the device even when the air is clean, and this causes an inefficient situation. In addition, only particles and large - scale micro - organisms are trapped by the filters. It is
necessary to take fresh air from outside in order to make an improvement on the harmful gases and chemicals in the environment. In addition, the said application does not contain a colored panel where the users in the vehicles can instantly monitor the air quality index value provided over multiple parameters.
Therefore, the existence of the above drawbacks and the inadequacy of the existing solutions made it necessary to make an improvement in the related technical field.
Object of the Invention
The invention aims to solve the above-mentioned disadvantages.
The main objective of the invention is to provide clean air to the users by cleaning the air in the vehicle in which it is installed.
Another objective of the invention is to display the quality of the air in the vehicle to the users via a panel and to the authorities from a single point through the software running in the application.
A vehicle interior air cleaner for achieving the objectives described above, comprising;
• an attachment point to allow it to be installed at the ceiling of the vehicle,
• at least one sealing element providing sealing and insulation,
• an outdoor unit to allow air to enter the vehicle,
• at least one outdoor air intake duct that allows the air from the outdoor unit to enter the air cleaner,
• at least one inlet duct that allows the inside air to enter the air cleaner,
• internal and external sensors that detect and transmit the amount of particles and pollutants in the air entering inside the vehicle, at least one electronic card that sends commands to the fans that provide air circulation by analyzing the amount of particles and pollutants transmitted by indoor and outdoor sensors,
• at least one filter, which ensures that the air entering through the fans is cleaned from harmful particles by filtering, and a UVC sterilization unit and ionizer that destroys the particles that does not pass through the filter,
• at least one outlet duct where fresh air taken from outside or cleaned air taken from inside is sent into the vehicle by fans, and
• at least one panel that displays the quality of the air inside the vehicle to the user through its RGB LEDs.
The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly by means of the figures provided below and the detailed explanation written with reference to these figures, and therefore the evaluation should be made by taking these figures and detailed explanation into account.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the vehicle interior air cleaner are explained only for the purpose of providing a better understanding of the subject.
The vehicle interior air cleaner, which is the subject of the invention, can be used in all vehicles where there is severe air pollution and human health is adversely affected, especially in public transportation vehicles such as bus, metrobus, metro, tram, minibus and shuttle service vehicles.
The vehicle interior air cleaner, which is the subject of the invention, comprises the following;
• an attachment point (1) to allow it to be installed at the ceiling of the vehicle,
• at least one sealing element (2) providing sealing and insulation,
• an outdoor unit (11 ) to allow air to enter the vehicle,
• at least one outdoor air intake duct (15) that allows the air from the outdoor unit to enter the air cleaner,
• at least one inlet duct (6) that allows the inside air to enter the air cleaner,
• an internal sensor (13) that detects and transmits the amount of particles and pollutants in the air taken from inside the vehicle,
• an external sensor (14) that detects and transmits the amount of particles and pollutants in the air taken from outside the vehicle,
• at least one electronic card (8) that sends commands to the fans (9) that provide air circulation by analyzing the amount of particles and pollutants transmitted by indoor and outdoor sensors (13, 14),
• at least one filter (4), which ensures that the air entering through the fans (9) is cleaned from harmful particles by filtering, and a (JVC sterilization unit (12) and ionizer (10) that destroys the particles that does not pass through the filter,
• at least one outlet duct (3) where fresh air taken from outside or cleaned air taken from inside is sent into the vehicle by fans (9), and
• at least one panel (5) that displays the quality of the air inside the vehicle to the user through its RGB LEDs.

The vehicle interior air cleaner, which is the subject of the invention, is installed at the ceiling, especially in public transportation vehicles, and offers a fixed use. This saves space. In addition, as air can be supplied from the outside, many air quality parameters such as CO2, VOC, PM, temperature and humidity are regulated and cleaned at the same time. In addition, the users in the vehicles can instantly see the air quality index value created through multiple parameters via the colored RGB LED panel (5). In this way, users who observe the air quality information in crowded environments know what kind of air they are breathing. In addition, the electronic card (8) on the device transmits the measurement values to a central server with the GPS and GSM units within it. Also, the data received from the indoor and outdoor sensor units (13, 14) can be observed instantly from a central control point. In this way, the air quality of all vehicles on site is monitored instantly.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the system comprises an instant regional air pollution map where the air quality values obtained through the external sensor unit (14) or the location information obtained via the GPS on the electronic card (8) are collected and combined.
Claims
1. A vehicle interior air cleaner, characterized by comprising:
• an outdoor unit (11 ) to allow air to enter the vehicle,
• at least one outdoor air intake duct (15) that allows the air from the outdoor unit (11) to enter the air cleaner,
• at least one inlet duct (6) that allows the inside air to enter the air cleaner,
• an internal sensor (13) that detects and transmits the amount of particles and pollutants in the air taken from inside the vehicle through the inlet duct (6),
• an external sensor (14) that detects and transmits the amount of particles and pollutants in the air taken from outside the vehicle,
• at least one electronic card (8) that sends commands to the fans (9) that provide indoor and outdoor air circulation by analyzing the amount of particles and pollutants transmitted by indoor sensor (13),
• at least one filter (4), which ensures that the air entering through the fans (9) is cleaned from harmful particles by filtering,
• at least one outlet duct (3) where fresh air taken from outside or cleaned air taken from inside is sent into the vehicle by fans (9).
2. The vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising an attachment point (1) to allow the vehicle interior cleaner to be installed at the ceiling of the vehicle
3. The vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising at least one panel (5) that displays the quality of the air inside the vehicle to the user via RGB LEDs.
4. The vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising a UVC sterilization unit (12) that destroys the bacteria and viruses taken from inside and outside that does not pass through the filter.
5. A vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising an Illuminating LED Array (7) used as an illumination element.
- 8 - The vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising an electronic card (8) that enables air quality values to be monitored by means of GPS and GSM units. The vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising an outdoor sensor unit (14) that measures the quality and pollution values of the air to be taken from the outside and transmits the measured data to the electronic card (8) for analysis. The vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 6 or 7, characterized by comprising an instant regional air pollution map where the air quality values obtained through the external sensor unit (14) or the location information obtained via the GPS on the electronic card (8) are collected and combined. The vehicle interior air cleaner according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising an at least one ionizer (10) that reduces the amount of dust in the indoor air.
