Selon la présente invention, un solvant accepteur de liaison hydrogène est utilisé pour faciliter la formation, par un diluant, d'une liaison hydrogène avec une résine dans une peinture, ce qui évite la formation d'une liaison hydrogène entre une résine et une molécule de résine, le diluant assure sur la peinture un effet efficace de dilution, le diluant préparé présente un point d'éclair en vase clos élevé, supérieur à 68 °C, et le diluant est un produit chimique non dangereux.
