Definitions

  • the invention relates to a base body for an oral nose mask according to the preamble of claim 1 and an oral nose mask comprising such a base body and a filter element.
  • a respirator half-mask with a half-mask body is known in which several small holes are provided for the passage of air. Before it passes through the holes, the air is filtered through a filter part resting on the half-mask body. Despite the large number of holes, the effective air passage area is small. Breathing in is particularly difficult as a result. The manufacture of such a perforated half mask is complex, time-consuming and costly.
  • the invention is based on the object of developing a generic base body for an oral and nose mask in such a way that it is easy to manufacture and, when used with a filter element as an oral and nose mask, enables easy inhalation and exhalation. This object is achieved by a base body for an oral nose mask with the features of claim 1.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a mouth and nose mask comprising a base body according to the invention and a filter element which is easy to manufacture and enables easy inhalation and exhalation.
  • the invention provides that the base body has at least one depression on its outside.
  • the base body is designed so that when the filter element is fastened to the base body and when the base body rests on the face of a user, air can be drawn in by the user through the filter element into the recess and from the recess to the face opening of the base body.

  • the recess is formed by a region of the base body which is set back with respect to a single projection or also with respect to several projections of the base body.
  • Such a recess in the outside of the main body makes it easier to breathe in when the filter elements are attached to the main body when they come into contact with the face of the user.
  • the filter element When inhaling, the filter element is sucked against the outside of the base body. As a result, the area of the filter element through which air can pass and penetrate to the face opening of the base body is large.
  • the invention is based on the knowledge that the filter surface through which air can be sucked in can be enlarged by a recess on the outside of the base body. There is no need to make a through opening in the base body for this. This he enables a much simpler production of the base body for the mouth and nose mask. There is no need for a punching process with which holes would otherwise have to be made in the base body after the formation of the base body. Due to the possibility of dispensing with the subsequent introduction of holes, the mask according to the invention also has greater strength.
  • the effective filter surface through which air can be sucked in is larger. Due to the recess on the outside of the base body, air on the outside of the base body can be collected in the recess, so to speak, and can be conducted via the recess to the inside of the base body.
