Abstract
The present invention relates to a system (1) for transmitting automatic payment orders of customers who change their bank, to the transferred bank automatically and processing these.
Description
A SYSTEM FOR PORTING AUTOMATIC PAYMENT ORDERS
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system for transmitting automatic payment orders of customers who change their bank, to the transferred bank automatically and processing these.
Background of the Invention
Automatic payment order is a service whereby a bank customer places order to the bank for transactions such as bill payment, credit card payment and thus ensures that the said payments are made at certain times.
Today, when bank customers switch from one bank to another, they have to cancel all payment orders included in their previous banks and inform their new bank about each payment order. In this case, it takes a long time for a customer who has a large number of payment orders in a bank to notify each payment order to the new bank that s/he will be transferred and it is a laborious process. Similarly, it also takes up time for employees of the new bank to process each payment order. And this usually causes time failures and customer dissatisfaction due to overdue and outstanding debts.
Therefore, considering the studies and the deficiencies in the state of the art, it is understood that there is need for a system for notifying existing automatic payment orders to the new bank automatically and processing these when users change their bank.
The United States patent document no. US20050038744, an application included in the state of the art, discloses a method for conducting banking transactions over a mobile device by storing telephone numbers of bank customers. Steps of receiving the telephone number of the bank customer and recording it as customer number, confirming that the telephone number belongs to the bank customer upon the bank customer is called by an employee at the bank branch, configuring the bank account on the phone number with the personal information received from the bank customer, the bank customer carrying out banking transactions by calling the bank’ s contact number through his/her mobile device, sending notification to the mobile device of the bank customer via SMS about the account activities of the bank customer are carried out in the method of the said invention. In the said invention, it is enabled to port account information and automatic payment orders of a bank customer -included in his/her conventional bank account- to an account created by his/her telephone number.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system for notifying automatic payment orders included in a previous bank automatically to a new bank and processing these in case of bank changes.

The electronic device (2) included in the inventive system (1) is a device such as smartphone, tablet computer, desktop computer or laptop having an input unit in the form of button or touch screen. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the electronic device (2) is configured to at least one application (3) on it. The said electronic device (2) is configured to establish connection with the server (5) by using any remote communication protocol in the state of the art and to ensure that data exchange is realized between the application (3) and the server (5) over this connection established. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the electronic device (2) is configured to realize data exchange with the server (5) by using Internet as data bus.
The application (3) included in the inventive system (1) is run on the electronic device (2) and configured to realize data exchange with the server (5) over the communication established between the electronic device (2) and the server (5). The said application (3) is configured to create a demand for porting at least automatic payment orders to a new bank. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the application (3) is configured to provide an interface adapted to allow users to sign in by a distinguishing identity information that is previously defined by the bank for them and a password. The said application (3) is configured to provide an interface adapted to enable display of payment orders that are available for each user and list of banks where porting can be realized. The database (3) is configured to provide an interface adapted to enable creation of a porting demand by choosing payment orders one by one and/or collectively and by selecting the bank where it is requested to port the order for each automatic payment order.
The database (4) included in the inventive system (1) is in communication with the server (5) and configured to be managed by the server (5). The said database (4) is configured to keep the distinguishing identity information defined for the customers and the password information such that they are associated with the customer information. The said database (4) is also configured to keep customer’s account information and payment order information.
The server (5) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to establish communication with the electronic device (2) by using any remote communication protocol included in the state of the art and to realize data exchange with the application (3) being run on the electronic device (2) over this communication established. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the server (5) is configured to establish communication with the bank server (DS) in order to transmit for automatic payment order porting demands. The said server (5) is configured to establish communication with the electronic device (2) and the bank server (DS) over Internet. The server (5) is in communication with the database (4) and configured to be managed by the database (4). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the server (5) is configured to receive the customer information and the data about the order input by means of the application (3) upon being triggered when an automatic payment order porting demand is transmitted over the application (3). The server (5) is configured to access the automatic payment orders and information associated with the said customer by performing a query within the database (4) for the customer information and the order data received and to transmit the automatic payment order information accessed to the bank server (DS) for processing.
With the inventive system (1), in cases where bank customers change their bank, it is ensured that the said payment orders are transmitted to the new bank and processed without the need for notifying their new banks about the automatic payment orders included in their previous banks one by one. Thereby, time loss of both bank employees and customers can be avoided and transactions that may be skipped or errors that may occur during bank change can be prevented.
Within these basic concepts; it is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive “System for Porting Automatic Payment Orders (1)”; the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.
