  • Fasteners 140 may be any mechanism for holding together chair base 130A and chair base 130B in secure fashion.
  • Fasteners 140 may be, for example, bolts, screws, brackets, clamping mechanisms, latches, clips, magnetics-based mechanisms, releasable, quick-release, and/or any other suitable attachment mechanism.
  • a benefit of the modular furniture system 100 is that no additional “conversion” component is needed to convert from the bassinet configuration to the chairs configuration. All that is required is to disengage fasteners 140.
