環状ケトン類としては、メントン、イソメントン、カルボン、ジヒドロカルボン、プレゴン、ピペリトン、1-アセチル-3,3-ジメチル-1-シクロヘキセン、シス-ジャスモン、α-イロン、β-イロン、γ-イロン、ホモフロノール、マルトール、エチルマルトール、シクロテン、3,4-ジメチル-1,2-シクロペンタジオン、ソトロン、α-ダマスコン、β-ダマスコン、γ-ダマスコン、δ-ダマスコン、α-ダマセノン、β-ダマセノン、γ-ダマセノン、ヌートカトン、ジヒドロヌートカトン、エチルマルトール、シクロヘキサノン、2-sec-ブチルシクロヘキサノン、α-ヨノン、β-ヨノン、γ-ヨノン、α-メチルヨノン、β-メチルヨノン、γ-メチルヨノン、α-イソメチルヨノン、β-イソメチルヨノン、γ-イソメチルヨノン、フラネオール、カンファなどを用いることができる。
芳香族ケトン類としては、アセトナフトン、1-フェニルエタノン(アセトフェノン)、アニシリデンアセトン、ラズベリーケトン、p-メチルアセトフェノン、アニシルアセトン、p-メトキシアセトフェノンなどを用いることができる。

本発明の香料組成物は、成分(A)および成分(B)以外の香料化合物からなる成分(C)を含む。成分(C)の配合比は、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、成分(A)と成分(B)の合計配合比を除く残部である。
本発明の第一の実施形態では、成分(C)の香料化合物は、リモネン(Limonene)、1,8-シネオール(1,8-Cineole)、メントール(Menthol)、ノナン酸(Nonanoic acid)、2(5H)-フラノン(2(5H)-Furanone)、p-シメン(p-Cymene)、ソトロン(Sotolon)、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される。この場合において、香料化合物およびその配合比の好ましい実施形態を例示すると、以下のとおりである。
(1)成分(C)の香料化合物がリモネンであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、リモネンの配合比が2.0質量%以上16.0質量%以下である。
(2)成分(C)の香料化合物がリモネンおよび1,8-シネオールであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、リモネンの配合比が2.0質量%以上6.0質量%以下であり、1,8-シネオールの配合比が2.0質量%以上10.0質量%以下である。
(3)成分(C)の香料化合物がリモネンおよびメントールであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、リモネンの配合比が2.0質量%以上6.0質量%以下であり、メントールの配合比が2.0質量%以上5.0質量%以下である。
(4)成分(C)の香料化合物がメントールおよび1,8-シネオールであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、メントールの配合比が2.0質量%以上5.0質量%以下であり、1,8-シネオールの配合比が2.0質量%以上10.0質量%以下である。
(5)成分(C)の香料化合物がリモネン、メントール、およびノナン酸であり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、リモネンの配合比が1.0質量%以上3.0質量%以下であり、メントールの配合比が5.0質量%以上7.0質量%以下であり、ノナン酸の配合比が3.0質量%以上5.0質量%以下である。
(6)成分(C)の香料化合物がリモネン、1,8-シネオール、メントール、およびノナン酸であり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、リモネンの配合比が1.0質量%以上3.0質量%以下であり、1,8-シネオールの配合比が1.0質量%以上2.0質量%以下であり、メントールの配合比が5.0質量%以上7.0質量%以下であり、ノナン酸の配合比が3.0質量%以上5.0質量%以下である。
(7)成分(C)の香料化合物がメントールおよびp-シメンであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、メントールの配合比が16.0質量%以上18.0質量%以下であり、p-シメンの配合比が1.0質量%以上2.0質量%以下である。
(8)成分(C)の香料化合物がメントール、ノナン酸、およびp-シメンであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、メントールの配合比が17.0質量%以上19.0質量%以下であり、ノナン酸の配合比が0.5質量%以上1.5質量%以下であり、p-シメンの配合比が1.0質量%以上2.0質量%以下である。
(9)成分(C)の香料化合物がメントール、ノナン酸、および2(5H)-フラノンであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、メントールの配合比が4.0質量%以上6.0質量%以下であり、ノナン酸の配合比が10.5質量%以上12.5質量%以下であり、2(5H)-フラノンの配合比が3.0質量%以上5.0質量%以下である。
(10)成分(C)の香料化合物が2(5H)-フラノンであり、香料組成物に含有される香料成分の全質量を100.0質量%としたとき、2(5H)-フラノンの配合比が4.0質量%以上6.0質量%以下である。
本発明の第二の実施形態では、成分(C)の香料化合物は、リモネン(Limonene)、1,8-シネオール(1,8-Cineole)、メントール(Menthol)、2-ノネン-1-オール(2-Nonen-1-ol)、ヘキサン酸(Hexanoic acid)、オクタン酸(Octanoic acid)、ノナン酸(Nonanoic acid)、p-シメン(p-Cymene)、ソトロン(Sotolon)、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される。
溶剤を用いる場合において、香料組成物の希釈率は特に限定されず、香料組成物に含まれる香料化合物の種類やその配合比等を踏まえて適宜調整することができる。希釈率としては、例えば、1%、0.1%、0.01%、0.5%~1%の範囲、0.1%~0.5%の範囲、0.05%~0.1%の範囲、0.01%~0.05%の範囲、0.005%~0.01%の範囲等が挙げられる。
固体基材としては、シリカゲル、アルミナ、活性炭等の物理的吸着能を有する比表面積の大きな素材の粉末又は粒状成形物等が挙げられる。
また、香粧品の形態(剤型)は特に限定されず、例えば、液状、乳液状、クリーム状、ペースト状、固形状、多層状等の種々の形態に適用可能である。これらの他にも、シート剤、スプレー剤、ムース剤としても適用できる。
また、本発明の香料組成物を内包したマイクロカプセル、ナノカプセルは、描画材に配合することができる。描画材としては、クレヨン、チョーク、ダーマトグラフ、黒芯、色芯、蛍光芯、眉墨、アイシャドウ、アイライナー、アイブロウライナー等が挙げられる。
[香料組成物の調製]
表15に示す配合比(質量%)に従って香料化合物を配合し、実施例1~実施例4の香料組成物を調製した。なお、実施例1~実施例4の香料組成物は、それぞれ、上記の表1に示す処方1~4に対応する。
実施例1~実施例4の香料組成物をプロピレングリコールで0.01%に希釈した溶液を調製し、評価サンプルとした。各評価サンプルをろ紙にしみこませ、その香りを嗅いだ印象について、5名の被験者により、以下の表16に示す評価項目に該当すると感じる度合いを0点(全くそう思わない)~10点(全くそう思う)までの11段階で評価する官能評価試験を行った。
図1は、実施例1~実施例4の香料組成物の香りの官能評価1の結果を示すグラフである。
図1に示す4つのグラフは、左から順に、実施例1、実施例2、実施例3、実施例4の結果である。なお、図1に示すグラフは、各々の香料組成物について、各評価項目(縦軸)に対して得られた結果(得点)の平均値(横軸)をプロットしたものである。後述する図2~図14についても同様である。
なお、希釈率を0.1%、1%とした評価サンプルを用いて同様の試験を行った結果、上記の0.01%の場合と類似する傾向が得られたが、実施例1~実施例4の香料組成物では、希釈率を0.01%程度とすることがより好ましいことが示唆された。
また、香りが人の感情に訴える度合いを評価するために、以下の表17に示す評価項目を設定し、上記の官能評価1と同様に調製した希釈率0.01%の評価サンプルをろ紙にしみこませ、その香りを嗅いだ感想について、5名の被験者による官能評価試験を行った。
図2は、実施例1~実施例4の香料組成物の香りの官能評価2の結果を示すグラフである。
図2に示す4つのグラフは、左から順に、実施例1、実施例2、実施例3、実施例4の結果である。
また、希釈率を0.1%、1%とした評価サンプルを用いて同様の試験を行った結果、上記の0.01%の場合と類似する傾向が得られたが、実施例1~実施例4の香料組成物では、希釈率を0.01%程度とすることがより好ましいことが示唆された。
[香料組成物の調製]
上記表12-1、表12-2に示す処方番号1501~1532の配合比(質量%)に従って香料化合物を配合し、実施例1501~実施例1532の計19種の香料組成物を調製した。
実施例1501~実施例1532の香料組成物をプロピレングリコールで0.1%に希釈した溶液を調製し、評価サンプルとした。各評価サンプルをろ紙にしみこませ、その香りを嗅いだ印象について、20名の被験者(日本人)により、以下の表18に示す評価項目に該当すると感じる度合いを0点(全くそう思わない)~10点(全くそう思う)までの11段階で評価する官能評価試験を行った。
図3は、実施例1501~実施例1532の香料組成物の香りの官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。
図3では、各々の香料組成物について、各評価項目(縦軸)に対して得られた結果(得点)の平均値(横軸)を1つのグラフ上にプロットしている。
図4は、実施例1502の香料組成物の香りの官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。
図5は、実施例1505の香料組成物の香りの官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。
図6は、実施例1530の香料組成物の香りの官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。
次に、上記の官能評価と同様に調製した実施例1510の香料組成物の希釈率0.1%の評価サンプルを用い、様々な国籍の被験者による官能評価試験を行った。被験者の内訳は、日本人36名、ポーランド人13名、台湾人5名、インド人2名であった。
なお、本試験の評価サンプルとして実施例1510の香料組成物を用いたのは、上述した実施例1501~実施例1532の中で、実施例1510が、全ての評価項目について概ね平均的な結果(得点)であったため、日本以外の国籍の被験者が有する香りの嗜好を調査するのに適切であると考えられたからである。
図7は、実施例1510の香料組成物の香りの、日本人被験者による官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。

[香料組成物の調製]
上記表14-1に示す処方番号802の配合比(質量%)に従って香料化合物を配合し、実施例802の香料組成物を調製した。
実施例1501~実施例1532について上述したのと同様の手順により、実施例802の香料組成物の希釈率0.1%の評価サンプルを作製し、10名の被験者(日本人)による官能評価試験を行った。
図11は、実施例802の香料組成物の香りの官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。
特に、処方番号802と同一の系統に属する処方番号1502に基づいて調製された実施例1502の結果(図4)と比べると、実施例802の香料組成物の方が、ポジティブ・ワードに対する得点と、ネガティブ・ワードに対する得点との差が大きく、よりメリハリの結果が得られていることがわかる。また、特筆すべきは、実施例802(図11)でも実施例1502(図4)でも、「好きだ」、「快い」という項目に対する得点が、「嫌いだ」、「不快だ」という項目に対する得点よりも明らかに高い点である。
次に、実施例802の香料組成物、および、以下の表19に示す比較例1~4の配合比(質量%)に従って香料化合物を配合して調製した香料組成物の希釈率0.1%の評価サンプルを作製し、実施例1501~実施例1532について上述したのと同様の手順により、10名の被験者(日本人)による官能評価試験を行った。
図12は、実施例802、および、比較例1~4の香料組成物の香りの官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。
図12では、実施例802は丸印、比較例1は上向き三角印、比較例2は四角印、比較例3は菱形印、比較例4は下向き三角印でそれぞれ示した。
次に、実施例802の香料組成物の希釈率0.1%の評価サンプル、および、3種類の市販の香水の評価サンプルを作製し、実施例1501~実施例1532について上述したのと同様の手順により、10名の被験者(日本人)による官能評価試験を行った。
図13は、実施例802の香料組成物、および、市販の香水1~3の香りの官能評価の結果を示すグラフである。
図13では、実施例802は丸印、香水1は上向き三角印、香水2は菱形印、香水3は四角印でそれぞれ示した。
[香料組成物の調製]
上記表13-1に示す処方番号902および表13-2に示す処方番号913の配合比(質量%)に従って香料化合物を配合し、実施例902および実施例913の香料組成物を調製した。
実施例1501~実施例1532について上述したのと同様の手順により、実施例902および実施例913の香料組成物の希釈率0.1%の評価サンプルを作製し、11名の被験者(日本人)による官能評価試験を行った。

前記成分(B)が、6-メチル-5-ヘプテン-2-オンと1-フェニルエタノンの組み合わせ;または、6-メチル-5-ヘプテン-2-オンと1-フェニルエタノンと2-デカノンの組み合わせであり、
前記成分(C)が、リモネンとメントールの組み合わせ;リモネンと1,8-シネオールとメントールの組み合わせ;または、リモネンと1,8-シネオールとメントールと2-ノネン-1-オールとノナン酸の組み合わせである、請求項4に記載の香料組成物。 - 前記成分(A)の含有量が、81.0質量%以上85.0質量%以下であり、
前記必須成分(A1)の含有量が、58.0質量%以上62.0質量%以下であり、
前記成分(B)の含有量が、2.0質量%以上5.0質量%以下であり、
前記成分(B)が、6-メチル-5-ヘプテン-2-オン;6-メチル-5-ヘプテン-2-オンと1-フェニルエタノンの組み合わせ;または、6-メチル-5-ヘプテン-2-オンと1-フェニルエタノンと2-デカノンと2-ウンデカノンの組み合わせであり、
前記成分(C)が、リモネンとメントールと2-ノネン-1-オールの組み合わせ;または、リモネンと1,8-シネオールとメントールと2-ノネン-1-オールとp-シメンの組み合わせである、請求項4に記載の香料組成物。 - 請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の香料組成物を含有する、香粧品、飲食品、およびたばこ製品からなる群より選択される製品。
- 請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の香料組成物を内包してなる、マイクロカプセルまたはナノカプセル。
- 請求項9に記載のマイクロカプセルまたはナノカプセルを含有する、インキ。
- 請求項10に記載のインキを用いた印刷物。
- 請求項9に記載のマイクロカプセルまたはナノカプセルを含有する、描画材。
- 請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の香料組成物を用いた部材。
- 前記部材が、紙、布地、織物、編物、不織布、敷物、板材、置物、包装・梱包資材、または玩具である、請求項13に記載の部材。
