Definitions
- the present invention refers to a surfboard or paddle surfboard provided with a mechanism that allows its advance from a back and forth movement made by the user and is transmitted to a flapping movement of some fins that the system incorporates at the end of the mechanism.
- the user of the present invention when standing on the board, pulls and pushes the handlebar with both arms at the same time, exercising a part of the body's musculature, the upper part, which is usually exercised very rarely.
- document ES2394807A1 refers to a flexible board for water sports, which comprises a polyethylene foam core or a material with similar technical characteristics, conformed to the specific needs of each board model, covered on the upper surface by a resistant sheet the forces of use; covered with an outer skin made of an elastic material absorbent to impacts.
- the aforementioned document refers to a board for water sports but does not mention at any time the reciprocating propulsion system proposed by the main invention.
- ES2354095A1 describes a surfboard, of the type that presents an elongated configuration with symmetry with respect to the longitudinal axis, characterized in that longitudinally it determines a configuration of variable widths, with rounded contours and a progressive transition in curvature between the different widths, comprising an area in front and an area in the rear part that determine respective transverse widenings with respect to a narrower area of the central part, between which areas a width ratio is fulfilled such that the minimum width of the central area is between 81% and 85% of the maximum width of the front area and between 93% and 97% of the maximum width of the rear area, the maximum width of the front area being found at a distance from the rear end that is between 76% and 80% of the total length of the board, the minimum width of the central area at a distance from the rear end that is between 35% and 42% of the total length of the board, and the maximum width of the rear area at a distance from the rear end that is between 15% and 18% of the total length of the board, while this
- ES2298750T3 refers to a floating board for water sports, which board includes an elongated and vertically flattened body that has a lower face for contact with the water and an upper face to support a person, the lower face and the upper face are joined Along a peripheral edge of the body, the body which is made up of a pair of end parts and at least one intermediate part located between the end parts, the parts are arranged within a series of splices and can be separated in such a way that each intermediate part is removable and can be replaced to allow adjustment of the length of the body and optionally facilitate the transport of the board when the different parts are separated, the splices between the adjacent parts of the body have a shaped profile zigzag or wave, each part, at each splice, has a splice face that defines a plurality of ridges alternating with a plurality of valleys, cu When viewed in the plan, the table is characterized in that each splice face of each part has a plurality of transverse rod
- the surfboard driven with a reciprocating mechanism object of the present invention is constituted from a conventional surfboard or paddle surfboard, with the following adaptations to incorporate the system and mechanism of conversion of reciprocating movement of a handlebar in movement of final flapping:
- the mechanism that transforms the reciprocating movement into a flapping movement starts from a blade-shaped handlebar, which is inserted vertically upside down (with the blade part up), into a hollow lever arm that crosses the board and is the one who bring the back and forth motion to the bottom of it.
- said lever arm At the lower end of said lever arm there is a piece that has two joints with a vertical axis, one on each side, from which a pair of articulated bars start on each side to a second piece with joints also with a vertical axis in its side, said second piece being anchored to the table, and jointly with the bars that articulate in this second piece there are some final movement bars that end in the fins that produce the advance and movement of the table, so that in a view In plan, the flaps open and close from the back and forth movement of the initial doubly articulated piece.
- All the bars allow some flexibility so that the mechanism works in its most extreme positions, even the handlebar allows a slight turn on its axis that makes the whole mechanism rotate slightly allowing the board to be oriented to the left or right.
- the wings can be fixed, or they can be foot wings, so that the final bars of the mechanism have a last shoe to be able to put them on and take them off, allowing the user to use them to propel the board or put them on himself.
- the mechanism can be easily assembled and disassembled as many times as desired to be able to use the table in any of its modes.
