A peel and stick strip for smoking papers and wraps that is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking, comprising smoking paper, a food grade self adhesive strip attached to the smoking paper, and a peel away cover attached to the adhesive strip.

Peel and Stick Smoking Papers

Patent Application Ser. No. 61/796, 505, filed on November 12, 2012, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference in their entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[002] The present invention is in the technical field of smoking papers and more particularly to a peel and stick strip for smoking papers and wraps that is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking.

BACKGROUND

[003] Currently, there is no way for making a cigarette or smokeable item without licking and sealing the rolling or wrapping paper. The currently available devices and methods date back centuries without any real change. The normal steps are:

[004] Insert the filter or leave a space for it.

[005] Hold both ends of the paper.

[006] Wrap your middle fingers along the back side of the paper for extra support.

[007] Begin to roll the cigarette.

[008] Use your thumbs to push the paper against the tobacco.

[009] Roll the cigarette.

[0010] Lick and seal the cigarette.

[0011] This process is time consuming, inaccurate and takes practice before it is achieved.

[0012] The lack of innovation in this area is astonishing. Users are creating smokeables the same way today as was the case in the 9^th century. Veiy little has changed. The problem with creating a smokeable this way is that there is the potential for a paper cut on the tongue when the user licks the paper. The item being placed into the smokeable wrapper can fall out or spill during the process. The spills, openings, inconsistent wetting of the wrapper can lead to quick burning of the product and potential burning ash spills that create fire hazards. [0013] Also disadvantageously, licking the paper produces germs on the paper, that can be passed to others that are sharing the smokeable.

[0014] Therefore, there is a need for the present invention that overcomes the limitations of the prior art by providing a peel and stick strip for smoking papers and wraps that is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0019] The present invention overcomes the limitations of the prior art by providing a peel and stick strip for smoking papers and wraps that is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking.

One embodiment of the present invention provides a peel and stick smoking paper. In another embodiment, there is provided a method for using the device. The device and method will now be disclosed in detail.

[0029] Referring now to FIG. 1, there is shown a peel and stick smoking paper 100, according to one embodiment of the present invention. The peel and stick smoking paper 100 comprises a smoking paper 102, a food grade self adhesive strip 104 attached to the smoking paper 102, and a peel away cover 106 attached to the adhesive strip 104. The smoking paper 102 is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking, according to one embodiment.

[0030] The food grade self adhesive strip 104 is made of food grade, non-toxic material known in the industry and capable of withstanding heat up to 600 degrees Celsius (or 1112 degrees Fahrenheit) without loosening or becoming unsealed from the wrapper. The high heat resistance is necessary to overcome issues with the prior art wherein saliva used when licking the wrapping paper to seal the smokeable tends to evaporate potentially leading to the rolled wrapper falling apart and falling on the user or the ground and creating a fire hazard.

[0031] In a preferred embodiment, the food grade self adhesive strip 104 is non-toxic and does not add any artificial flavors to the smokeable end product. Optionally, the food grade self adhesive strip 104 comprises different flavors or other additives to make the smoking experience more pleasing to the user. For example, in a regular tobacco cigarette, a combustible mint or menthol flavoring can be added to the adhesive strip to create an enhanced cigarette experience for the user. [0032] In another example, the food grade self adhesive strip 104 can comprise enhanced

CBD oil, for medical purposes or THC concentrate for an enhanced recreational experience when used with cannabis as the wrapped smokable plant based material.

[0033] In yet another example, flavonoids, terpenes or other medicinal items can be added to the food grade self adhesive strip 104. Unlike soaking the smoking paper 102 in flavonoids that would contain an unknown total quantity of flavonoids, due to different absorption properties and variations in the smoking papers 102 themselves, the addition of exacting amounts of additives to the food grade self adhesive strip 104 is well known in the art. Such as, for example, diabetes patches, nicotine patches, Dramamine patches, to name a few. [0034] Optionally, a double sided adhesive strip s can be sold separately and added to existing stocks of wrappers with any of the properties described above. As will be understood by those with skill in the art, the examples cited in this document are not meant to be limiting as many different types of wrapper/adhesive strip sizes and combinations are contemplated in this disclosure.

[0035] There is also provided a method for using peel and stick strip for smoking papers and wraps that is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking normal steps are: a) inserting a filter or leave a space for the filter; b) placing the smokeable material in the center of the peel and stick wrapper; c) rolling the cigarette; d) pushing the paper against the tobacco; e) peeling the protective strip away from the adhesive strip; and f) pressing the adhesive strip against an opposite side of the wrapper.

Claims

Claims What is claimed is:

1. A peel and stick strip smoking paper that is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking comprising: a) a smoking paper; b) a food grade self adhesive strip attached to the smoking paper; and c) a peel away cover attached to the adhesive strip.

2. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the smoking paper is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking.

3. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip is made of food grade, non-toxic material known in the industry and capable of withstanding heat up to 600 degrees Celsius without loosening or becoming unsealed from the wrapper.

4. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the self adhesive strip does not evaporate and separate from the smoking paper thereby preventing the rolled wrapper from falling apart and falling on the user or the ground and creating a fire hazard.

5. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip is non-toxic and does not add any artificial flavors to the smokeable end product.

6. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises different flavors to make the smoking experience more pleasing to the user.

7. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 6, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises one or more than one additives selected from the group consisting of a combustible mint, menthol flavoring, and candy flavonoids.

8. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises different or other additives to make the smoking experience more pleasing to the user.

9. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 8, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises one or more than one additives selected from the group consisting of a combustible mint, menthol flavoring, and candy flavored flavonoids.

10. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises enhanced CBD oil, for medical purposes.

11. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises THC concentrate for an enhanced recreational experience for use with cannabis based products as the wrapped smokable plant based material.

12. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises one or more than one additives selected from the group consisting of flavonoids, terpenes, and combustable medicinal additives.

13. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 12, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises an exact amount of the flavonoids added to the food grade self adhesive strip for a consistent user experience.

14. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 13, wherein the adhesive strip is double sided that is not attached to a wrapper, wherein the double sided adhesive strip can be sold separately and added to the user’s existing stock of wrappers.

15. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the smoking papercomprises different flavonoids and/or other additives to make the smoking experience more pleasing to the user.

16. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 15, wherein the smoking paper comprises one or more than one additives selected from the group consisting of a combustible mint, menthol flavoring, flavonoids, terpenes, combustable medicinal additivesand candy flavored flavonoids.

17. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the smoking paper comprises enhanced CBD oil, for medical purposes.

18. The peel and stick strip smoking paper of claim 1, wherein the smoking paper comprises THC concentrate for an enhanced recreational experience for use with cannabis based products as the wrapped smokable plant based material.

19. The peel and stick strip of claim 18, wherein the food grade self adhesive strip comprises an exact amount of the flavonoids added to the food grade self adhesive strip for a consistent user experience.

20. A method for using a peel and stick strip for smoking papers and wraps that is non-toxic and taste neutral for manual creation of rolled plant material fit for smoking, the method comprising the steps of: a) placing smokeable material in the center of a peel and stick smoking paper; b) rolling the smokable product in the peel and stick smoking paper to create a cylinder; c) pushing the paper against the smokable material; d) peeling the protective strip away from the adhesive strip; and e) pressing the adhesive strip against an opposite side of the wrapper.
