Abstract
Description
“MEMBRANA SATURADORA TÁCTIL, PARA MINIMIZAÇÃO SENSORIAL NA APLICAÇÃO DE AGULHA DE INJEÇÕES” "TACTICAL SATURATING MEMBRANE, FOR SENSORY MINIMIZATION IN THE APPLICATION OF INJECTION NEEDLES"
[001] The present specification refers to a patent application for a membrane developed especially for clinical use at the time of injection, mitigating the patient's feeling when receiving the needle introduction.
[002] According to the project, after lightly pressing on the skin, the membrane, through conical pins of its contact face, will cause the saturation of the tactile sense, momentarily desensitizing the point of the receiving body of the application, psychologically comforting patients with fear or needle phobia (aicmophobia).
[003] As is well known, the use of needles is a practice widely used by medicine through the use of injections, either in the prevention or treatment of diseases done through vaccination or in the collection of blood and / or other elements of sampling of the patient's organism. It turns out that the use of needle injections is an invasive and often painful process that causes discomfort and suffering for the patient, which may cause him to develop fear or even fear (aicmophobia), feeling faint with the vision or thinking about needles, increased heart rate or blood pressure, shortness of breath, dry mouth, tremors, nausea, panic attack etc.
[004] Desensitization techniques can be used, such as the patient's gradual exposure to needles so that, with repetition and practice, anxiety is minimized. Strategies implemented by therapists can manage negative thoughts and responses to needles and injections, such as relaxation, deep breathing and other procedures to deal with fear in a positive way.
[005] In any case, negative reactions hinder or even make the clinical procedure unviable, forcing the doctor to use oral medication that may not be as effective and quick as direct application, compromising the prevention and / or satisfactory treatment of problems of the patient's health and may bring severe consequences.
[006] As a way of solving and / or mitigating the problems described above, the author of the order in question developed a membrane composed of an innovative shape, with two rounded flaps joined by a central section interrupted by a cutout in order to form a gap between their common edges. The upper face of the membrane is smooth, incorporating semicircular ridges following the radius of curvature of its sides, while the back face incorporates a plurality of small desensitizing pins. Once the membrane with its pins is positioned on the patient's skin, in the region where the injection is applied, after light pressure, desensitization is triggered at this point, calming the patient and making it possible for him, in sequence, to introduce the needle of a consented and less uncomfortable way.
[007] Explicada superficialmente passa a membrana a ser melhor detalhada, através dos desenhos anexos, pelos quais se vêem: [007] Explained superficially, the membrane becomes better detailed, through the attached drawings, through which we can see:

Nessa condição é provocada a saturação táctil pelos pinos dessensibilizadores, no ponto do corpo do paciente, onde será dada a injeção. [012] Figure 5 - view of the thumb and index finger of the injection applicator, imposing pressure near the semicircular ridges of the smooth face of the membrane. In this condition, tactile saturation is caused by the desensitizing pins, at the point of the patient's body, where the injection will be given. Detail A, showing the action of desensitizing pins on the skin.
[013] In accordance with the attached drawings, the “TACTICAL SATURATOR MEMBRANE, FOR SENSORIAL MINIMIZATION IN THE APPLICATION OF INJECTION NEEDLE”, object of the present application for an invention patent, constitutes, as shown in Figures 1 and 2 in particular, a membrane (1) made of flexible material, non-toxic and suitable for clinical use, consisting of two symmetrical flaps (2), with rounded sides (3) with a large radius of curvature, joined by a central section (4) interrupted by clipping ( 5), delimiting a span (6) that extends to its common edges (7), forming a sinuous opposite edge (8).
[014] As shown in figure 1, the upper face (9) of the membrane (1) is smooth, incorporating semicircular shoulders (10) that follow the radius of curvature of its sides (3), while the back face ( 1 1) incorporates a plurality of small desensitizing pins (12), conical and with rounded tips (13), shown in figure 2. Such pins (12) are arranged in a circular form from four non-concentric focal centers of that abutment face ( 1 1). [015] Thus constructed, the membrane will be used to mitigate the tactile sensation at the point of the patient's body, where the injection needle (A) will be applied.
[016] For this purpose, the person who will carry out the application, already holding the injection with one hand, positions the membrane with the other hand (1), supported by the rounded tips (13) of the desensitizing pins (12) of his back face (1 1) on the patient's skin (PE), as shown in figure 3, keeping the application point exposed by the central gap (6). After imposing pressure with the thumb and index finger (preferably), next to the semicircular shoulders (10) of the upper face (9) of the membrane (1), this condition is transferred to the conical desensitizing pins (12) which, due to their rounded tips ( 13) cause tactile saturation at that point of the skin (PE), making the patient relax, who can receive the injection needle (A) through the central gap (6), as shown in figure 4.
[017] Therefore, the contact of the desensitizing pins (12) pressed against the patient's skin (PE), combined with their distribution from four non-concentric centers, causes saturation of the sense or minimization of the physiological sensation of the touch, increasing the cutaneous sensory disorientation , as shown in detail A of figure 4, causing a comfortable and controlled sensation that mitigates possible phobias when the injection needle (A) is introduced.
[018] The use of the membrane (1) is not limited only to people who are afraid or needles phobia (A) and can also be used on people who do not have such behavior, just for their comfort.
