- - phytoceramides selected from one or more among octyldedaconol, hydrogenated coco-glycerides, helianthus annuus seed extract
- andiroba seed oil each at a concentration by weight, with respect to the total weight of the final composition, respectively in the range between 0 to 3%, preferably 1-3%, more preferably equal to about 1%, the former; and in the range between 0 and 10%, preferably between 0 and 5%, more preferably equal to about 0.2%, the latter; a repair shampoo is thus obtained.
- a product in particular a cosmetic product, for the external or surface treatment of the body, especially for cleansing the skin and/or hair, preferably in the form of a cleanser, or a soap, a shampoo, a hair conditioner, a shower gel or other form.
- a first group of ingredients at a temperature comprised between 60°C and 70°C, in particular in a turbo emulsifier, preferably under vacuum, especially for a period of time comprised from 15 minutes to 20 minutes, using as ingredient of this first group of ingredients a surfactant agent, glycerol and Maltooligosyl Glucoside/Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate.
- a surfactant agent glycerol and Maltooligosyl Glucoside/Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate.
- the ingredients of a second group of ingredients are added to the ingredients of the first group, in particular by emulsifying, preferably under vacuum, for a period of time comprised from 10 minutes to 15 minutes .
- said ingredients of the second group comprising one or more of the following compounds: Lauryl Lactyl Lactate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Polyglyceryl-6 Laurate, Isoamyl Laurate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Glyceryl
- the ingredients of a third group of ingredients are added to the ingredients of said first and second group, by emulsifying, preferably under vacuum, for a period of time comprised from 15 minutes to 20 minutes.
- said ingredients of the third group comprise one or more of the following compounds: Fragrance, Apricot kernel Oil Polyglyceryl-4 Esters, Chia Seed Oil, Pistachio Seed Oil, Moringa Seed Oil, Camelia Seed Oil, Phytoceramides, Andiroba Seed Oil, Basil root Extract, Ginger Extract, Poppy Seed Oil, Bacuri Seed Butter, Acai Seed Oil, and Illipe Seed Butter .
- the first treatment was carried out on hair that had not been washed for at least 15 days, so as to test the cleansing properties of the formula.
- the treatments were carried out by 2 professional hairdressers, who filled out an evaluation table at the end of the treatment, for each person treated.
- Formula 2 (F2) - comparative Formulation with partial substitution (5% by weight) of water with glycerol (Glycerine)
- Formula 3 (F3) comparative Formulation with partial substitution (20% by weight) of water with glycerol (Glycerin)
- Formula 4 (F4) Anhydrous formulation, with complete substitution of water with Glycerol (Glycerin)
- Formula 5 (F5) Anhydrous formulation, with complete substitution of water with Glycerol (Glycerine) and reduction of the amount of primary surfactant
- Formula 6 (F6) Anhydrous formulation, with complete substitution of water with Glycerol, with reduction of the amount of primary surfactant and with addition of maltooligosyl glucoside in mixture with hydrogenated starch hydrolysate (MG-60) .
- the substitution of part of the water with glycerol provides some benefits on the conditioning of the hair, in terms of antistatic action and reduction of the frizz effect; however, a great deterioration in the amount and volume of the foam and in the spreadability of the product (Fig. 1A and IB), an important parameter for the end user, was observed. Furthermore, a worsening of the consistency of the product was observed: the substitution of part of the water with glycerol causes a reduction in the viscosity, which makes the product excessively fluid, therefore not usable by the operator and difficult to spread.
- the formulas according to the invention in which water is completely eliminated in favour of glycerol as moistening agent, show a conditioning capacity equal to or even better than the formulas comprising water (F1-F3), an improvement of the post-drying parameters and even more surprisingly an improved cleansing capacity (see Figures 1C, ID and IE) .
- the formulas according to the invention F4-F6 further provide equal amounts and volume of foam with respect to conventional formulas with water or even greater ( Figures 1A and IB) . Even more surprisingly, it can be observed that the substitution of water with glycerol allows to greatly reduce the concentration of primary surfactant agent while maintaining the cleansing capacity intact (see Fig. 1C) .
- the reduction of primary surfactant is advantageous both in terms of costs and in that it favours an excellent tolerability of the finished product, also by persons with delicate, sensitive skin or with problems, such as skin allergies, dry and brittle hair, dandruff and dermatitis (Fig. IE) .
- a water-soluble vesicle containing the composition of the invention after being exposed to water by the user, for example while washing hands or showering, may release the cleansing content thereof.
