Abstract

The invention relates to an advantageous system (1) for evaluating the damage to a workpiece (3) of composite material, comprising at least: - the workpiece of composite material, which comprises a fibre reinforcement which is densified by a matrix having at least one electrically conductive phase, - a clamping device (5) which conducts electricity and comprises electrical conductors (52a; 52b) clamped around the workpiece, - an electrical generator (7) which is connected to the electrical conductors and configured to circulate an electrical current in the workpiece, and - a processing unit (9) which is connected to the electrical conductors and configured to determine the resistance or resistivity of the workpiece and to compare the the resistance or resistivity determined with a predetermined value.
