[1]長手方向に延び、遠位端と近位端とを有する筒状部材と、上記筒状部材の近位端部に接続されているハンドル部とを有し、
上記筒状部材は、補強部材を含む補強部と、上記補強部よりも近位側に補強部材を含まない非補強部とを有し、
上記非補強部は、近位側に向かって内径が拡径するテーパ部を有し、
上記ハンドル部は、第1内腔と、上記第1内腔よりも近位側に第2内腔とを有し、
上記第1内腔の近位端の内径は、上記第2内腔の遠位端の内径よりも大きく、
上記第1内腔には、上記第1内腔の近位端に上記非補強部の近位端が位置するように上記非補強部が固定されており下記式(1)~(3)を満たすことを特徴とするカテーテル。

[4]上記補強部の近位端から上記スリーブの遠位端まで軸方向の長さは、上記筒状部材の補強部の近位端から遠位側に1mm離れた位置における内径aの2倍以上、35倍以下である[3]に記載のカテーテル。
[5]上記スリーブは、熱可塑性樹脂を含むものである[3]または[4]に記載のカテーテル。
[6]上記熱可塑性樹脂は、ポリエチレン、ポリアミドエラストマー、ポリアミド、及びポリウレタンよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である[5]に記載のカテーテル。
[7]上記筒状部材の近位端部は、接着剤により上記第1内腔に固定されているものである[1]~[6]のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
[8]上記接着剤は、シアノアクリレート系接着剤、アクリル系接着剤、エポキシ系接着剤、及びウレタン系接着剤よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である[7]に記載のカテーテル。
[9]更に、上記筒状部材の外径よりも大きい内径を有し、長手方向に延び、遠位端と近位端とを有する外側筒状部材を備え、
上記外側筒状部材の内腔に上記筒状部材が配置されている[1]~[8]のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
[10]上記外側筒状部材の近位端は、上記補強部の近位端よりも遠位側に位置する[9]に記載のカテーテル。
[11]上記補強部材は、線材が編組された編組体、または線材が螺旋状に巻回されたコイル体である[1]~[10]のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
[12]上記補強部は、内層と外層とを有し、上記内層と外層の間に上記補強部材を備えるものである[1]~[11]のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
[13]上記外層は、ポリエチレン、ポリアミドエラストマー、ポリアミド、及びポリウレタンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を含むものである[12]に記載のカテーテル。
[14]補強部材を含む筒状体の一端部に、樹脂製のスリーブの一端部を被覆する工程、
テーパ部を有する金属体を加熱して、スリーブの他端部から上記一端部に向かって、上記金属体を挿入する工程を含むことを特徴とするカテーテルの製造方法。

非補強部15の近位端15Bにおける内径b(mm)が、補強部14の近位端14Bから遠位側に1mm離れた位置14Cにおける内径a(mm)よりも大きいことにより、非補強部15が近位側に向かって拡径した状態になる。その結果、近位側からワイヤを筒状部材10の内腔へ挿入し易くすることができる。そのため内径bは、好ましくは内径aの1.1倍以上、より好ましくは1.2倍以上、更に好ましくは1.3倍以上である。一方、上限は特に限定されないが、例えば内径bは、内径aの10倍以下、5倍以下、2倍以下であってもよい。なお内径a(mm)は、好ましくは0.1mm以上、0.8mm以下であり、より好ましくは0.3mm以上、0.55mm以下である。

ハンドル部70の第2内腔72の遠位端72Aにおける内径c(mm)が、筒状部材10の補強部14の近位端14Bから遠位側に1mm離れた位置14Cにおける内径a(mm)よりも大きいことにより、第2内腔72の遠位端72A近傍の内壁との接触によるワイヤの移動抵抗を低減することができる。また先端屈曲ワイヤ50を挿入する場合には、内径cが小さいと、第2内腔72の遠位端72Aを通過する時点で屈曲部が伸びきってしまうおそれがあるが、内径cが内径aより大きいことにより、このような伸びきりの問題を回避し易くすることができる。そのため内径cは、好ましくは内径aの1.1倍以上、より好ましくは1.2倍以上、更に好ましくは1.3倍以上である。一方、上限は特に限定されないが、例えば内径cは、内径aの5倍以下、4倍以下、3倍以下であってもよい。
[式中、bは、筒状部材10の非補強部15の近位端15Bにおける内径(mm)である。cは、ハンドル部70の第2内腔72の遠位端72Aにおける内径(mm)である。]
非補強部15の近位端15Bにおける内径b(mm)が、ハンドル部70の第2内腔72の遠位端72Aにおける内径c(mm)以上であることにより、ワイヤを近位側から遠位側に向かって挿入する際に、非補強部15の近位端15Bに引っかかり難くすることができる。そのため内径bは、好ましくは内径cの1.1倍以上、より好ましくは1.2倍以上、更に好ましくは1.3倍以上である。一方、内径bが、内径cの2.0倍以下であることにより、ワイヤを近位側に向かって引き戻す際に、第2内腔72の遠位端72Aに引っかかり難くすることができる。そのため内径bは、好ましくは内径cの2.0倍以下、より好ましくは1.7倍以下、更に好ましくは1.5倍以下である。

Claims (14)
- 長手方向に延び、遠位端と近位端とを有する筒状部材と、
前記筒状部材の近位端部に接続されているハンドル部とを有し、
前記筒状部材は、補強部材を含む補強部と、前記補強部よりも近位側に補強部材を含まない非補強部とを有し、
前記非補強部は、近位側に向かって内径が拡径するテーパ部を有し、
前記ハンドル部は、第1内腔と、前記第1内腔よりも近位側に第2内腔とを有し、
前記第1内腔の近位端の内径は、前記第2内腔の遠位端の内径よりも大きく、
前記第1内腔には、前記第1内腔の近位端に前記非補強部の近位端が位置するように前記非補強部が固定されており下記式(1)~(3)を満たすことを特徴とするカテーテル。

- 前記補強部の近位端から前記スリーブの遠位端まで軸方向の長さは、前記筒状部材の補強部の近位端から遠位側に1mm離れた位置における内径aの2倍以上、35倍以下である請求項3に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記スリーブは、熱可塑性樹脂を含むものである請求項3または4に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記熱可塑性樹脂は、ポリエチレン、ポリアミドエラストマー、ポリアミド、及びポリウレタンよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記筒状部材の近位端部は、接着剤により前記第1内腔に固定されているものである請求項1~6のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記接着剤は、シアノアクリレート系接着剤、アクリル系接着剤、エポキシ系接着剤、及びウレタン系接着剤よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である請求項7に記載のカテーテル。
- 更に、前記筒状部材の外径よりも大きい内径を有し、長手方向に延び、遠位端と近位端とを有する外側筒状部材を備え、
前記外側筒状部材の内腔に前記筒状部材が配置されている請求項1~8のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。 - 前記外側筒状部材の近位端は、前記補強部の近位端よりも遠位側に位置する請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記補強部材は、線材が編組された編組体、または線材が螺旋状に巻回されたコイル体である請求項1~10のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記補強部は、内層と外層とを有し、前記内層と外層の間に前記補強部材を備えるものである請求項1~11のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記外層は、ポリエチレン、ポリアミドエラストマー、ポリアミド、及びポリウレタンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を含むものである請求項12に記載のカテーテル。
- 補強部材を含む筒状体の一端部に、樹脂製のスリーブの一端部を被覆する工程、
テーパ部を有する金属体を加熱して、スリーブの他端部から前記一端部に向かって、前記金属体を挿入する工程を含むことを特徴とするカテーテルの製造方法。
