Detailed Description of the Invention
The devices of the prior art comprise supply cylinders that have linearly aligned holes. Crushing is carried out by passing the dry ice between two rotating cylinders having adjusted spacing for the crushing process. In this art, as the holes on the supply cylinder cannot continuously fill the flow chamber a continuous flow cannot be obtained. Moreover, in the dry ice crushing method carried out by passing between two cylinders operation cannot be carried out under high pressure. In another technique, particles are obtained by shaving a block of dry ice. In the method of crushing ice by shaving ice from a block same sized particles cannot be obtained.
In figure 1, the device subject to the invention is provided. The dry ice in pellet form that are fed to the ice chamber (1) are transferred to the flow channel (5) via an ice supply cylinder (2). The ice particles that are transferred to the crusher group from the pressurized air supply area (4), are passed between the mobile crusher cylinder (6) that has been adjusted to the desired particle size, and the fixed crusher (7) and the crushing process is completed; thereby the ice particles that have been crushed to the desired size are passed through the flow channel (8) and the blasting process is completed.
In the supply cylinder (2) and the sealing element (3) assembly shown in Figure 2, high flow transmission and besides this, continuous flow has been obtained at low speeds via the V shaped ice feeding channels located on the supply cylinder (2) as the carriage volumes of said channels are high. By means of the low speed, the life of the sealing element (3) is prolonged and air leakage to the ice chamber (1) has been prevented by discharging the air leaking out of the sealing element (3) that is somewhat deformed or wasted away in time, from the exhaust holes (10).
The bearing elements (9) positioned on both sides of the supply cylinder (2) provides installation and maintenance ease. The supply cylinder (2) mechanism that has been designed as a monoblock including the bearing elements (9) and the drive motor, enables easy replacement of the pad that has worn down, by means of easy mounting, dismounting.
The crusher assembly shown in Figure 3 comprises a mobile crusher cylinder (6) and a fixed crusher part (7). By means of the air discharge holes (11) located on the fixed crusher part (7), it has been enabled for the device to reach high pressures and discharging of the ice particles that have been crushed to the flow line (8) without accumulation. By means of the air discharge holes (11) more air can be discharged and the device is able to operate under higher pressure. Therefore cleaning can be carried out under higher pressures during the ice blasting process.
As the device can operate between 1.5 to 10 bars precise cleaning and cleaning of stubborn dirt can be carried out with a single machine.
The distance between the cusher cylinder (6) and the fixed crusher part (7) can be adjusted by means of the crusher adjustment arm (12) and by this means particle size between 0.5 mm to 4 mm can be obtained.
The fixed crusher part (7) is shaped like a quarter cylinder that can grasp the crusher cylinder (6). By means of this shape, the problem of accumulation of dry ice right beneath the supply cylinder (roller) of the prior art which utilizes opposite crusher rollers is prevented. The invention has enabled intake of more ice in the crusher chamber located between the fixed crusher part (7) and the crusher cylinder (6), and as a result the problem of freezing under the supply cylinder has been eliminated.
Another effect provided by the invention is that the dry ice can be blasted both with a crusher and without a crusher. The invention allows the fixed crusher part (7) to be driven apart from the mobile crusher cylinder (6) if desired such that crushing cannot be carried out by the mobile crusher cylinder. The distance between the cusher cylinder (6) and the fixed crusher part (7) can be adjusted by means of the crusher adjustment arm (12) at between 0.5 mm to 4 mm .
