Description
A SYSTEM WHOSE SEED PLANTATION SPACE CAN BE ADJUSTED IN A WAY THAT IT CAN BE USED IN AGRICULTURAL FIELDS
Technological Area:
This invention relates to a system whose seed plantation space can be adjusted in a way that it can be used in agricultural fields and the plantation of all sorts of seeds such as wheat, flax, watermelon, com etc.
Known State of the Technique:
The first condition for farmers making their living from agriculture in Turkey to increase their income is the increase of production. Increasing production means acquiring more products from unit space, for instance a decare. To this end, the number of plants in a unit area needs to be increase and the“Living Space” needs to be decreased. However, an optimum living space needs to be provided for the light, air, humidity, temperature and nutrients that a plant needs to grow to be provided. And in the event that the space between the plant lines are wide so that a wider living space can be assured; the ground cannot be shaded sufficiently by plants and consequently, this causes weeds to grow, the ground to dry and a layer called the upper crust preventing the nutrients available in the soil from being acquired from plants and affecting the root growth of plants reversely to be formed; and this decreases the amount of products and increases the need of man power needed in production. To prevent this, seeds of plants raised by the seeds of cereals etc. are planted in narrow lines.
The most frequently applied plantation method in the seed plantation is the broadcast sowing. In the broadcast sowing methods, seeds are scattered to the soil randomly by hands or sowing machines. Even though this method is suitable for being applied in the plantation of frequently planted forage crops or on steep slopes; it increases the required amount of seeds since the amount of seeds left in a unit area cannot be controlled and
causes the plants to grow irregularly. In addition to this disadvantage, the size of the living spaces of plants in lands where broadcast sowing is applied are different; the depth of plantation differs from seed to seed; planted seeds grow in different times, and maturation times of plants formed from seeds germinating in different times differ; therefore, the chance of harvesting at once disappears and the required workforce increases and the productivity acquired from harvested plants decreases. Seed plantation machines have been developed with the purpose of preventing all these negativities and acquiring high productivity and quality from seed plants. The plantation performed by means of this type of machines is called alternate plantation.
Agriculture machines are machines that have been developed in order to solve these problems and difficulties experienced by farmers in farming areas and are used to ease the cultivation functions. Since the plantation machines among the other agriculture machines are the one of the first ones to have been developed have been used in the plantation of various seeds such as legumes, beets, forage corps etc. This plantation machine sow the seeds that it carries in its case at two stages depending on the width of the operation. At the first stage, seeds are acquired in required amounts and left into the seed tubes by means of a proper flow. At the second stage, operations such as digging the area where seeds are dropped at certain depths and covering them with soil are performed by the plantation legs.
Seeds are placed inside a chamber in the agriculture machines that are used today for seed plantation. Seeds inside the chamber are transferred to tubes with the help of an apparatus. Seeds passing through this component drop on the soil by the disc that contacts the soil. In systems that are used today, the distance between the discs are not lowered under a certain level. This certain level is approximately 13 cm. The shorter the distance between the discs is, the narrower the plantation distances are, which allows more products are acquired from a unit area. The structure of the systems used today allows the distance between discs to be reduced. Additionally, due to the effect of the chassis system used, it is not possible to cultivate more soil at the same time and it is not possible for the system to proceed since it causes more soil collection if cultivated.
In the useful model application number TR200301735,“Planter Leg Mechanism with Multiple Discs” is explained. This is a planter leg mechanism adapted to an agriculture machine for seed plantation and creating a groove with a certain width on the soil and it is characterized by having multiple discs.
In the patent application number US20100963389,“the seed tube mounting mechanism for agricultural seed plantation machine” is explained. The opener mechanism for agricultural seed plantation machine has an opener disc connected to the opener sub chassis. The opener disc makes an angle towards the progression direction to create the furrow allowing grains to be placed. A seed tube is mounted to the opener sub-chassis by a two-piece bracket. The first piece has a channel structure to surround the seed tube partially and a double hole created on the lateral walls of the channel structure. The second piece has a L shaped structure with a part matching the hole pair. A key ring mechanism is used to allow the first and second pieces to be locked onto each other. Big wheel hubs and ball bearings in the opener discs are able to intervene with the direction of the seed provider tubers and positioning of the indicator wheels. The invention is connected to the sub-chassis of the mentioned opener and to the end wheel arm with a pivot structure that includes thread bolts.
In the aforementioned useful model/patent applications, seed plantation systems are explained. Since the distance between the discs in the mentioned products cannot fall under a certain dimension; side-to-side, frequent plantation is not possible. Additionally, it is not possible to arrange the distance between the discs to required dimensions. A certain distance of soil; furthermore, can be cultivated transversally at once. If more soil is intended to be cultivated, the soil will pile and the system will not proceed. The explained products constitute disadvantages in tersm of time and costs.
As a result, a new technology overcoming the mentioned disadvantages, having a productive structure, that is able to plant seed frequently in a unit area, the distance between the discs of which can be adjusted as required, the distance between the discs of which can be lowered to 8 cm, cultivating soil by making side-to-side additions at required lengths, not causing soil to pile due to the transversal length, practical to be
mounted and demounted, not requiring frequent maintenance, assuring time saving and cost-efficient.
