Description

A DEWATERING MACHINE FOR PAPER PULP WASTES AND A METHOD OF RECYCLING PAPER PULP WASTES
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a dewatering machine for paper pulp wastes that has been developed to be used in the paper industry, and a method of recycling which allows the waste water and pulp wastes obtained by means of the said machine to be recovered.
More particularly, the invention describes a dewatering machine for paper pulp wastes that compresses and dewaters a pulp waste in its body via a spiral rotated in a gradually narrowing conical shaped channel, and a production process that enables the pulp waste and waste water to be recovered via said dewatering machine used for paper pulp wastes.
STATE OF ART
Today, paper pulp waste that has been generated at the end of a paper production process is delivered to cement plants or disposal facilities under a certain price range. Such pulp wastes that are delivered to disposal facilities and cement plants by paying a certain amount of price result in additional cost for businesses. As the pulp wastes that contain moisture of high amounts retain such moisture inside them, this results in high drying costs. Therefore, they are mixed and burned with the other wastes having a high calorific value. In a burning process carried out in cement plants that receive the pulp wastes; the pulp waste is fed from a feeding chamber, also named as a first crusher, into a furnace along with limestone, clay and marl for a cement production of the pulp waste. The pulp wastes and the raw materials form the clinger which is the raw material of cement. In this process, the paper pulp wastes are used as a support to internal combustion in cement production and this affects the environment negatively together with the emissions being discharged out of the furnace. Treatment sludge received by the disposal facilities is dried at the facilities by use of heat. The material dried is delivered to the cement plants. The dried paper pulps delivered to the cement plants are used in clinger production after being fed to the furnace from second crush.
The aforementioned methods currently known in the prior art have the primary drawbacks stated below:
• increasing carbon monoxide (CO) emissions due to a burning process of materials, which damages ambient air quality and affects all living creatures negatively,
• wasting energy which is a result of fuel consumption of huge amounts for drying and burning processes,
• eradicating raw materials that are likely to be recovered to the economy and returned back to the environment,
• spending additional logistics costs for transferring the pulp waste,
• losing labor and time due to the works carried out for all the above mentioned steps,
• the possibility of burying the pulp wastes under the ground, which may result from an uncontrolled control mechanism or their illegal distribution to the environment,
• not recovering all of the pulp wastes received efficiently as the cost of drying process is too high.
As a result, other novel configurations that will be capable of eliminating the aforesaid disadvantages in relation to the recovering process of the paper pulp wastes, and also providing solutions to the current systems are required. AIM OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a dewatering machine for paper pulp wastes and a method of recycling the pulp wastes, which is capable of meeting the aforementioned needs, eliminating all disadvantages, and providing additional advantages to the prior art.
The primary aim of the invention is to recover paper pulp waste that has been generated during a paper production process in paper production plants, and also the water extracted from the paper pulp via an improved dewatering machine.
Another aim of the invention is to compress the water in the pulp waste by passing the waste through a compression duct and a spiral that are opposite to each other having a conical shape, and thus to dewater said pulp waste for a recycling process after extracting the water contained in paper waste.
A further aim of the invention is to conserve natural resources and to prevent environmental pollution with the recovery of the pulp waste and the water retained therein. By means of the recovery of a ton of pulp wastes, approximately eight trees would be saved from being cut down, which would highly contribute to sustainable vegetation and life.
The invention also aims to obtain hundred percent recovery by achieving maximum efficiency in recycling pulp wastes.
In the dewatering machine for a pulp waste according to the invention, the water of pulp waste is dewatered with a compression process. With such application, the emissions that have been generated when a pulp waste in the prior art is used in disposal or burning plants are avoided, and this aims to reduce environmental pollution. Another aim of the invention is to treat the water recovered from pulp wastes at packaging treatment plants, and thereby harmlessly discharging the water back to the environment. Another aim of the invention is to decrease the hazards that may occur in facilities due to the fact that any burning or drying process is not carried out in practice, which also aims to minimize the risk of occupational accidents.
With the dewatering machine for pulp wastes subject to the present invention; it is additionally aimed to provide significant contribution to energy resources and energy economy by saving energy, to meet the demand for raw materials regarding materials that are made of wood and cellulose, to provide raw materials to the economy, to avoid labor losses, to reduce the costs of logistics, and to contribute to employment of workers.
In an attempt to achieve all these advantages that are mentioned above and will be more evident with the aid of the detailed description given below, the present invention; relates to a dewatering machine for paper pulp wastes which enables the pulp waste to be dewatered for recycling of the waste, comprising,
• a machine body having the components of the machine mounted therein and thereon,
• a waste feed slot which is located at the top of said machine body, and allows the pulp waste to be filled into the machine body,
• a duct intake chamber which is located under said waste feed slot,
• a compression duct which is located inside the machine body having a conical shape such that its diameter gradually narrows towards a waste discharge slot from the waste feed slot, • a spiral which is embedded in the said compression duct, is in an inverted conical shape in relation to the compression duct, and when rotated, moves the pulp waste towards the waste discharge slot and dewaters the pulp waste by compressing the same in the compression duct that gradually narrows,
• a waste water outlet duct which is used for discharging the water extracted from the pulp waste,
• a waste discharge slot which enables the pulp waste to be dewatered by being compressed via the spiral in the compression duct to be discharged out of the machine body,
• a drive assembly which includes a motor, a reducer, and motion transfer means for moving the components of the machine and rotate the spiral,
• a control panel which allows said drive assembly to be controlled,
• a guide member which supports an outlet part of the spiral in the machine body, its inlet part being connected to the drive assembly. Further structural and characteristic features and advantages of the invention will be more apparent in the accompanying drawings below and by means of the detailed description given with reference to these drawings, and therefore the accompanying drawings and said detailed description should be taken into consideration when carrying out an evaluation.

In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the dewatering machine (1 ) for pulp wastes subject to the present invention are depicted, in a non-limiting manner, only for the purpose of better understanding of the subject.
The present invention relates to a dewatering machine (1 ) for paper pulp wastes that has been developed to be used in paper industry, and a method of recycling which allows the waste water and pulp wastes obtained by means of the said machine (1 ) to be recovered. Figure 1 shows a three- dimensional view of the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ) according to the invention. Accordingly, the components that constitute the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ) are assembled in and on a machine body (2) having a substantially rectangular form. The machine body (2) has, on its upper part, a waste feed slot (3) through which a pulp waste is discharged into the machine body (2); on its rear lower part, a waste discharge slot (4) through which the dewatered pulp waste is discharged from the machine body (2). The machine body (2) has also therein a drive assembly (13) and a control panel (5) for controlling said control panel (13) that is located on the machine body (2). The drive assembly (13) comprises of a motor, a reducer, and motion transfer means for rotating the spiral (9) located in the compression duct (8). The control panel (5) essentially; is a panel that drives and powers the drive assembly (13), adjusts the motor speed, applies to the motor the inputs corresponding to the fore-aft movements of said motor, stops the motor in case of an emergency. The control panel (13) has also thereon a start - stop button (5.1 ) that is used for operating or halting the motor by powering the motor included in the drive assembly (13), a speed adjustment button (5.2) for increasing and decreasing the motor speed, a fore-aft button (5.3) for allowing the fore-aft moving of the motor, and an emergency stop button (5.4) for stopping the motor in case of a problem or breakdown. In Figure 2, a three-dimensional view of the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ) according to the invention which shows an inner configuration of the same is illustrated. A cone shaped compression duct (8), which extends in a position parallel to the ground and gradually narrows towards the waste discharge slot (4) from the waste feed slot (3) is provided in the inner portion of the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ). Additionally, a cone shaped spiral (9) is supported inside the said conical compression duct (8). The conical shape of the spiral (9) is opposite to the conical shape of the compression duct (8). In other words, the spiral (9) becomes gradually wider in diameter from the waste feed slot (3) to the waste discharge slot (4). A configuration of the compression duct (8) and the spiral (9) that is in an inverted cone shape in relation to each other is more apparent in a section view illustrated in Figure 3.
In the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ) subject to the invention, a duct intake chamber (7) is provided so as to be located between the waste feed slot (3) and the compression duct (4). Said duct intake chamber (7) is a part in which the pulp waste is transferred to the compression duct (8) for a compression process.
In addition, in the present configuration of the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ) subject to the invention;
• a waste water outlet pipe (6) that is used for transferring the waste water outside, which is extracted from the pulp waste compressed in the compression duct (8),
• a guide member (12) that supports an end of the spiral (8) in the machine body (2) wherein the other end of the spiral is connected to the motor included in the drive assembly (13),
• a thickness adjustment member (10) that is connected to an outlet portion (9.2) of the spiral (9), narrows and widens an outlet portion

out of the spiral (9) after being dewatered to be extracted at a desired thickness,
• inverted screws (1 1 ) that are used for approaching said thickness adjustment member (10) towards the outlet portion (9.2) of the spiral (9) or moving away the same from the outlet portion (9.2) of the spiral (9) are provided.
Operating principle of the pulp waste dewatering machine (1) subject to the present invention is as described below:
The machine is powered by means of the start stop button (5.1 ). The spiral (9) starts to be rotated by the reducer that is connected to the motor included in the drive assembly (13). The pulp wastes are allowed to flow to inside of the machine body (2) through the waste feed slot (3). The pulp waste sliding down through the waste feed slot (3) fills into the duct intake chamber (7) here. The duct intake chamber (7) directs the pulp waste to the compression duct (8). The pulp waste is oriented from the inlet part (9.1 ) to the outlet part (9.2) by flaps of the spiral (9) that are turning in the compression duct (8). Thus, the pulp waste that proceeds through the spiral (9) and the product compression duct (8) in an inverted cone shape in relation to each other passes through a narrower gap, wherein it passes through the said gap as it approaches to the outlet part (9.2) of the spiral (9), and gradually becomes more compressed. The pulp waste is squeezed and dewatered by the compressive force that is generated as a result of this motion and gradually increases towards the outlet part (9.2) of the spiral (9). The water extracted from the pulp waste is now discharged by means of the waste water outlet pipe (6). The dewatered pulp, which has been introduced to the outlet part (9.2) of the spiral (9) in a dewatered state, is discharged to outside all the way through the discharge slot (4) located at the rear lower portion of the machine body (2). When desired, a thickness adjustment process can be carried out for adjusting an end thickness of the dewatered pulp via a thickness adjustment member (10) that is capable of being externally connected to the outlet portion (9.2) of the spiral (9). Accordingly, the dewatered pulp waste, which is in contact with the thickness adjustment member (10) at the outlet portion of the spiral (9), is enabled to have a determined thickness. The thickness of the product discharged is determined in accordance with the distance between the thickness adjustment member (10) and the outlet portion (9.2) of the spiral (9). Therefore, as the thickness adjustment member (10) approaches to the outlet portion (9.2) of the spiral (9), a thinner product discharge is obtained whilst a thicker product discharge is achieved as it moves away from the outlet portion (9.2). The fore-aft movement of the thickness adjustment member (10) is carried out by means of a movable inverted screw (1 1 ). The inverted screw (1 1 ) is tightened or loosened, thereby adjusting a position distance of the thickness adjustment member (10). In addition, the adjustments for the speed, stopping/starting of said motor as well as for stopping the same in case of an emergency are performed via a control panel (5). With providing a reducer, it is aimed to increase the speed of the motor, and thereby carrying out this process at higher speeds.
The invention relates to a method of recovering the pulp waste and the water extracted from the pulp waste, which is carried out via the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ) described above in detail. The process steps of the method subject to the invention are as follows:
• feeding the pulp waste to the pulp waste dewatering machine
(1 ),
• dewatering the pulp waste by compressing the waste in the pulp dewatering machine (1 ), • transferring the waste water extracted to a water treatment plant and treating it, and thereby recycling the water in the water treatment plant,
• carrying the dewatered pulp waste on a conveyor belt,
• drying the pulp waste carried on the conveyor belt after passing the waste through a drying tunnel,
• passing the dried pulp waste through a crusher and crushing it and then examining the it in said crusher,
• conveying the products that are refined by being crushed via the conveyor belt to the plants in which they will be treated,
• forming the product that has been dried and formed into small pieces by drying as paper raw material or as the final product at the paper production plant.
During an implementation process of the said method of recycling the pulp waste, first of all, the pulp waste that has been generated following a paper making process is received from plants and weighed up with a weighing scale, and subsequently stored in temporary storage facilities. Afterwards, the pulp wastes are fed to the pulp waste dewatering machine (1 ) and raw water of the pulp waste is extracted. The pulp waste free from its raw water is then passed via the conveyor belt through a drying tunnel that is suitable to the methods of both using with solar energy and heating with natural gas as well, which helps a perfect dryness to be achieved. The dried pulp waste is passed through the crusher and thereby being made into a raw material after being crushed and made thin therein. The pulp waste that is made into a raw material is conveyed through the conveyor belts and packed and then put for sale.
During a manufacturing in paper making facilities; the present machine performs the steps of pressing these wastes discharged from a reducer, which are mainly composed of cellulose and fiber, and have a moist and complex nature, as well as the steps of dewatering and solutionizing of these complex wastes. Thus, the wastes are turned into semi-finished products. Many products have been provided in various areas, which are made of recycled raw materials for laminate flooring, corrugated products, siding products and egg containers etc. In this manner, the pulp wastes are returned to the economy. Furthermore, the water extracted from the pulp waste is treated in accordance with appropriate standards, and thereby the pulp is made suitable to be used in agriculture and other related areas.
