Description
A DETOX WATER FORMULATION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
Field of the Invention
This invention, in general relates to a formulation to detoxify the human body by removing the toxic elements therefrom. More particularly, the present invention provides an effective natural detox concentrate and formulation thereof in a form of drinking water and a method for preparing the same.
Background of the Invention
Every day we are exposed to environmental pollutants, preservatives, heavy metals, pesticides, food adulterants and many disease-causing chemicals including cancer and dementia. These toxins are ingested by our bodies and get stored in the tissues and cells throughout our bodies which interfere with optimal functioning of our organs. Further, our demanding and stressful lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits and schedule also add to toxic agents in our body. These agents negatively impact human health for by causing diseases and disorders like constipation, bloating, gas, headaches, fatigue, aches and pains, nausea, belly fat, skin problems, food cravings, low energy, bad breath, mood swings, obesity, produce body odor, allergies, yeast infection, acid reflux and heartburn, high cholesterol, kidney stones etc.
Various approaches have been disclosed in the prior arts in relation to work performed on the above issues. Some ways involve adding food supplements to daily diet that detoxes the human body and cleanses the liver.
Detox drinks are introduced in the market, which help reduce inflammation naturally, boost energy, support digestion, cleanse the liver and promote healthy skin. Detox drinks help to avoid toxic overload before it becomes a major health problem.
A 201 1 study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine assessed the use of clinical detoxification therapies by licensed naturopathic doctors in the United States. One hundred ninety-six naturopathic doctors completed a survey about the use of clinical detoxification therapies. 92 percent of respondents reported using detox therapies and over 75 percent utilized detoxification to treat patients for environmental exposures, general cleaning and preventive medicine, gastrointestinal disorders and autoimmune diseases.
In comparison to adding specific food or clinical detoxification therapy, detox drinks are simple to make and more user-friendly. Detox drinks are prepared using various fruits, vegetables and herbs that stimulate detoxification while providing vitamins and minerals that keep the body functioning properly.
There are number of diffusion bottles available in the market which can be used to prepare detox drink employing different fruits, vegetables, herbs combination.
However, currently available solutions as disclosed above have their own challenges such as the complex preparation process, shelf life of the drink, sometime unpleasant smell, not user friendly.
Generally, a detox water preparation requires an infusion process which may take 2 to 6 hours or sometime overnight to infuse the water. Further, to avoid decomposition of fruits in the water and create undesired flavors, the fruits are removed from the drink.
The infused water must usually be consumed on the same day or, if refrigerated, within 3 days of infusion. Infused waters are meant to be consumed fresh. Infused water looks or smells bad after a few days; hence it cannot be consumed.
Taste of the infused water is another challenge. Some cases for better detox infusion require more time which makes the drink too bitter to even sip.
Use of water is another challenge to prepare a detox water. At different locations pH and constituents of water may vary, which can affect the efficacy of detox water. Too hot or too cold water can destroy the fragile enzymes and vitamins in fruit that are beneficial to health. Further, the presently available detox water can’t be kept at room temperature for more than 4-5 hours because it becomes a breeding ground for mold and bacteria.
Selection of Fruits is another challenge. There is a requirement of using fresh fruits only and that to organics ones, otherwise, it could potentially be adding pesticide residue along with nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants. Frozen fruits or dried fruits simply won’t give very good results or flavor.
Therefore, there still is an unmet need existing to provide a method or composition which enable to avoid drawback associated with prior arts and provide better results of the detox
drink/water. Hence, it would be desirable to work on the alternative approach and provide an effective detox water composition and method for preparing the same.
