Abstract

The invention relates to an adjusting knob without any mechanical adjusting member, wherein the distance between the components changes depending on the turning of a movable member and a function and/or the value of a variable, which is/are desired to be controlled, is/are enabled to be adjusted according to said distance differences between the components, wherein said adjusting knob provides a feedback to its user depending on the change in the function and/or the variable value and wherein the precision of said adjusting knob is able to be set. More particularly, the invention relates to an adjusting knob comprising at least one sensor (3) and a movable surface that moves towards or away from said sensor (3) and at least one feedback member (4).
