Definitions

  • the present invention is a lens for optical correction with a black painted central part with a central transparent area (pinhole), this lens being spherical or spherical-cylindrical and being applied as a contact lens.
  • the present invention is in the field of ophthalmology.
  • This estenocherico hole also called pinhole or still of PH, is an opaque disc with a hole. It is used in the refractor Green when a refractive error is suspected to test visual acuity. This is done without ophthalmic lenses (spherical and cylindrical). Its mechanism is to temporarily remove refractive errors, such as myopia, through the passage of light through the center of the cornea and lens - decreasing aberrations and increasing the depth of focus of the eye; all by diminishing the circular blurs of the blurred light brushes that overlap the retina.
  • AcuFocus KAMRA Inlay is an intraestromal corneal implant used as an option for correction of presbyopia.
  • the technology is based on the principle of depth of focus produced by the pinhole and patent was requested on 08/27/2012 (US 20120245683A1).
  • XtraFocus was developed by the Brazilian ophthalmologist and researcher Cláudio Trindade and is included in the list of the most important innovations in Ophthalmology in 2014. XtraFocus must be surgically implanted within the eye and is capable of improving the vision of people with disorders of the eye cornea.
  • JP3179308 discloses correction lenses for presbyopia to be used directly on the cornea, i.e., they are used as a contact lens.
  • Said lenses are circular and have a colored portion in the central region and a pinhole in the center to increase the depth of focus.
  • the lens is formed by a pair of divided lenses that surround a colored limb, this factor makes the lens thicker and requires more steps for its manufacture, and may present problems such as separation of the pair of lenses.

  • the lens described comprises two refractive fields, one for distance vision and another for near vision, the area between the refractive fields being opaque, absorbing 75 to 100% light.

  • EP2455799 discloses a gelatinous lens to be used as a contact lens, containing an aseptic hole in the center of a zone capable of barring light input and increasing the depth of focus. Also disclosed is the presence of a plurality of smaller holes around the pitcher hole, it being commented that said holes improve the night and peripheral vision. However, the document does not disclose different embodiments of the steppe bore to fit the patient's visual condition.
  • the invention allows an excellent correction of presbyopia, corneal aberrations and media opacity. Especially in the area of corneal aberrations and media opacity, little has been developed in relation to contact lenses.
  • presbyopia lens solutions available today is the use of a lens in one eye for near and the other eye in the distance. This disposition of lenses in many patients causes haze and discomfort, making it impossible to use.
  • the differential of the proposed lens in presbyopia is that it allows a greater naturalness of vision. This is achieved by placing a lens away in one eye and in the other the lens of the present invention. • the mechanism that promotes this result is the ideal calculation of the spherical and or cylindrical lens in association with the chosen design (lens painting), allowing the improvement of the near and intermediate vision while minimally affecting the vision from afar.
