Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and devices for resource scheduling in a communication system. In a solution for uplink resource scheduling, a method implemented at a network device of a communication system incudes transmitting downlink data to a terminal device. The method also includes predicting, based on a traffic mode of the terminal device, whether a response to the downlink data is to be transmitted by the terminal device, and in response to predicting that the response to the downlink data is to be transmitted by the terminal device, transmitting a grant of an uplink resource without waiting for an uplink resource scheduling request from the terminal device. The method further includes receiving, from the terminal device, the response to the downlink data using the uplink resource.
