Description

DEVICE FOR CONTROLLED STOPPING TO BE USED ON LONG VEHICLES
Technical Field
The invention concerns a novelty device for usage on busses, minibuses, midibuses and similar long vehicles in order to hinder passengers from stepping in front of the vehicle after disembarking while the vehicle stops thus preventing accidents.
Current Technical Status
A strong demand exists for products that ensure controlled passing in order to prevent traffic accidents but of which the designs differentiate according to vehicle specifications because of children trying to pass the street in front of the vehicle without control after disembarking service vehicles, other vehicles potential of hitting children which get on the street without control or drivers hitting passengers after disembarking the vehicle due to carelessness and limited sight of the front of the vehicle.
The known technique shows that subject long vehicles road control is being applied by means of cameras. Cameras in the rear and front of the vehicle help the driver to stop and start in a controlled manner. Since the cameras of such a system are installed outside of the vehicle, they tend to malfunction due to bad weather conditions and cause the driver not to have a clear sight.
Subject long vehicles of this known technique have an additional signal system for controlled stopping. The driver is warned by signals according to the distance of the surrounding cars when he stops. The system that works by means of sensors fails to recognize vehicles and therefore fails to signal in bad weather conditions due to failures in the electrical harness. This is cause for risks of accidents.
As a result of the malfunctions explained above and due to causing extra cost to producers and customers as well as to being insufficient solutions for the problems, our invention of the device for controlled stopping to be used on long vehicles is being deemed necessary.
Brief Explanation of the Invention
The current invention is about the device for controlled stopping to be used on long vehicles related to the aforementioned necessities, eliminizing all disadvantages and serving additional advantages.
The primary purpose of this invention is to hinder passengers disembarking from a vehicle to pass from the front of it.
The other purpose of the invention is to prevent risks of accidents.
Another purpose of the invention is to have the vehicle stopped without any human aid.
A further purpose of the invention is to hinder sudden vehicles or passengers approach from a certain distance.
Another purpose of the invention is to eject the device from its position in order to have the vehicle stop in a controlled manner after the vehicle reaches the stop position and the driver opens the door.
A similar purpose of the invention is to ensure ejection of the device manually and by pushing the button within the vehicle.
The constructual and characteristical specifications of the device and all of its advantages are being explained with the help of figures and the descriptions therof in detail belowso that its purpose can be clearly defined and therefore its evaluation must be considered in light of these explanations.
Figures for the Explanation of the Invention The subject of our application "device for controlled stopping to be used on long vehicles” is shown by figures in the attachment, of which

Detailed Explanation of the Invention
This detail descripton of the device for controlled stopping to be used on long vehicles explains in detail the preferred construction just for better understanding of the subject and without any limiting effect.
The subject invention device for controlled stopping to be used on long vehicles (1 ) consists of a support (2) to be mounted in front of the vehicle (4), and a hinge (3) that connects the vehicle (4) to the support part and enables its ejection. Ensuring that the sight is not affected the support part (2) is being mounted to the front part of the vehicle (4) by means of the hinge (3) which allows it to move. The support part (2) is mounted to the vehicle at a height which ensures that persons cannot pass underneath it. It has a width equal to the width of the vehicle (4). It functions in connection with the driver’s door. When the door opens, its support part (2) opens as well. In order for having the support part (2) function manually a button has been placed inside the vehicle. Its mounting place may differ in accordance with the vehicle (4). The hinge (3) serves for mounting the support part (2) in front of the vehicle (4). By means of a shock absorber inside the support part (2) is able to open and to close.
The vehicle (4) can be a bus, minibus, midibus or similar long vehicles. The support part (2) which has the width of the the vehicle (4) and has the height that no person can pass underneath is mounted in front of the vehicle by means of the hinge (3).
The subject invention device for controlled stopping to be used on long vehicles’ (1 ) functioning principle is as follows: The driver opens the door after putting the vehicle (4) in a stopping position and the support part (2) which functions in connection with the door opens by means of the shock absorbers on the hinges (3) opens automatically or opens after the vehicle (4) comes to a stopping position by pushing the button inside of the vehicle (4) which allows the support part (2) to open. This way the passenger can cross the street in a controlled manner and accidents due to sudden actions or negligence will be eliminated. This is the way the device for controlled stopping to be used on long vehicles functions.
