Abstract
A proposed plate heat exchanger for hydrogenation plants for the secondary refining of oil comprises a vertical cylindrical steel housing with nozzles for the input and output of refining components, a pack of plates which is mounted in the housing and comprises a set of vertically mounted metal heat-exchange plates forming two counter-current heat-exchange circuits, and pipes connecting the housing nozzles to a feed unit and to the heat-exchange circuits, wherein the pack of plates has external heat insulation. Implementing the proposed technical solution increases the efficiency of a heat exchanger by reducing heat losses from heat-exchanging mixtures, which provides for a reduction in operating costs when using the heat exchanger. A reduction in the operating temperature of the housing increases the reliability thereof, and also permits cheaper grades of construction steel to be used for manufacturing the housing, which reduces operating costs.
