Definitions
- the present disclosure relates to an apparatus for supporting a center vent tube inside a hollow main shaft of a turbofan engine.
- the turbo fan engine TF is composed of a fan F disposed at the front and a core engine CE coaxially disposed behind the fan F.
- the core engine CE is, in order from the front (upstream side) to the rear (downstream side), a low pressure compressor LC, a high pressure compressor HC, a combustor CB, a high pressure turbine HT and A low pressure turbine LT is provided, and a rotor HTr of the high pressure turbine HT is a rotor HCr of the high pressure compressor HC via a high pressure shaft HS, and a rotor LTr of the low pressure turbine LT is a rotor of a fan F and a low pressure compressor LC via a low pressure shaft LS.
- Each LCr is rotationally driven.
- the fan F and the rotor LCr of the low pressure compressor LC, the low pressure shaft LS, and the rotor LTr of the low pressure turbine LT are collectively referred to as a low pressure system rotor LR, and the rotor HCr of the high pressure compressor HC, the high pressure shaft HS, and the high pressure
- the rotor HTr of the turbine HT is generically referred to as a high pressure system rotor HR.
- the high pressure shaft HS and the low pressure shaft LS (both collectively referred to as the main shaft) are hollow shafts, and the low pressure shaft LS is disposed inside the high pressure shaft HS.
- a portion of the air sucked and compressed by the fan F flows into the core engine CE and is a high temperature for driving the low pressure turbine LT which is a rotational drive source of the fan F and the low pressure compressor LC. It contributes to the generation of high pressure gas, and the remainder bypasses the core engine CE and is discharged from the rear, contributing to the generation of most of the thrust.
- the low-pressure rotor LR is normally supported by bearings (B1 and B2 and B5 in FIG. 1) in front of the front end of the high-pressure rotor HR and in the rear of the rear end.
- the high pressure rotor HR is supported by bearings (B3 and B4 in FIG. 1) in front of the high pressure compressor HC and in front of the high pressure turbine HT.
- the bearing B4 supporting the rear of the high pressure system rotor HR may be disposed at the rear of the high pressure turbine HT.
- these bearings are forced to apply lubricating oil to the rolling elements directly by the oil jet injected from the nozzle or indirectly through the inner diameter side of the inner ring, respectively. It is configured to be lubricated by feeding it. Therefore, these bearings are disposed inside the sump chamber. Specifically, one bearing is disposed inside a dedicated sump chamber, or a plurality of bearings disposed close to each other are respectively disposed inside a common sump chamber. In the turbofan engine TF shown in FIG. 1, the bearings B1, B2 and B3, the bearings B4 and the bearings B5 are respectively disposed inside one sump chamber.
- shaft seals such as labyrinth seals and carbon seals are disposed at the axial end of the sump chamber (where the main shaft penetrates), and from the appropriate stage of the low pressure compressor LC or high pressure compressor HC By letting the extracted air flow into the sump chamber through the shaft seal, the oil mist is prevented from leaking out of the sump chamber.
- the air flowing into the sump chamber is discharged to the outside of the engine after the oil mist is removed by the oil separator.
- the air may be discharged through piping installed along the stationary structure of the engine, or may be discharged through piping disposed inside the low pressure shaft LS.
- the latter piping is referred to as a center vent tube.
- air is discharged from the front sump chamber FS accommodating the bearings B1, B2 and B3 and the rear sump chamber RS accommodating the bearing B5 into the low pressure shaft LS. It is configured to be performed via the arranged center vent tube CVT.
- the air from the front sump chamber FS flows in via a hole (not shown) radially passing through the low pressure shaft LS (see the arrow in the figure).
- the oil mist mixed in the air is separated by the action of centrifugal force in an oil separator (not shown) attached to the through hole of the low pressure shaft LS, and returned to the sump chamber FS.
- the air from which the oil mist is removed flows backward in the center vent tube CVT (see the arrow in the figure), and flows in from the rear sump chamber RS through a hole (not shown) radially penetrating the low pressure shaft LS. Merge with air (see arrow in the figure).
- the center vent tube CVT is a member having only the air discharging function from the sump chamber, and unlike the low pressure shaft LS having the torque transmitting function, it does not require high structural strength, so it is configured as a thin cylinder. It aims at weight reduction by doing.
- the center vent tube CVT is also an elongated member extending substantially the entire length of the low pressure shaft LS, its rigidity is low, and when it is disposed inside the low pressure shaft LS, the occurrence of resonance during engine operation is prevented. For this reason, it is necessary to restrict and support radial displacement at a plurality of axial locations.
- Patent Document 1 As described above, as a device for supporting a center vent tube inside a hollow main shaft of a turbofan engine, the one disclosed in Patent Document 1 is known.
- the support device comprises an annular sleeve ("sheath 9") having an inner surface in contact with the outer surface of the "annular portion 3a" of the center vent tube (“tube 3”), a sleeve and a shaft ("low pressure turbine shaft 7") And an annular nut (“nut 14”) for securing the ring to the sleeve, the outer surface of the sleeve and the inner surface of the ring having equal apex angles It is formed as part of a conical surface (see FIG. 2).
- the inner surface of the ring which is formed as a part of the conical surface by screwing a nut onto the outer periphery of the sleeve, is radially outward along the outer surface of the sleeve, which is also formed as a part of the conical surface.
- the outer surface of the ring is pressed against the inner surface of the shaft to generate a reaction force, thereby holding the ring itself and thus restraining the radial displacement of the center vent tube fitted inside the sleeve.
- the ring in the support device of Patent Document 1 is formed in a C shape having a notch ("slit 16") at one location in the circumferential direction. (See Figure 3).
- the present disclosure has been made in view of the above, and is an apparatus for supporting a center vent tube inside a hollow main shaft of a turbofan engine, and the contact between the constituent members is not in the circumferential direction. It is an object of the present invention to provide a device which can not be uniform and therefore can prevent abnormal load transfer between components and wear of the contact surface.
- a center vent tube support device of one embodiment of this indication is for supporting a center vent tube inside a hollow main shaft of a turbofan engine, and the center vent tube

- the pressure receiving surface is formed by at least a portion of the inner surface of the cylindrical bore portion of the ring segment, and the pressure receiving surface is formed of the bore portion of the pair of ring segments
- a connecting ring is mounted on the outer surface, and the diameter of a circle circumscribing the projected shape of the device in the direction perpendicular to the second plane is smaller than the inner diameter of the minimum diameter portion of the main shaft.
- the ring disposed between the center vent tube and the main shaft via the sleeve comprises a pair of ring segments, and has a cylindrical surface with a diameter equal to the inner diameter of the main shaft. It is configured to contact the inner surface of the main shaft at a support surface formed as a part.
- each ring segment does not deform only by moving radially, and also supports the ring segment after assembly Since the surface contacts the inner surface of the main shaft without any gap, there is no risk of deformation. Therefore, the sleeve disposed between the ring segment and the center vent tube is not likely to be deformed.
- the contact state of the ring and the main shaft, and the contact state of the sleeve and the center vent tube are both circumferentially uniform, and therefore, between the members. It is possible to obtain an excellent effect that abnormal load transmission and contact surface wear can be prevented.

Abstract
