Abstract

The present invention relates to a holder for a container, which can be a beverage container holder (see figure 1) or a sorbet container holder (see figure 2). This support automatically protects the contents of these containers from dust, dirt and insects, by means of a cover that is part of the holder. This cover is automatically closed down over the top of the container. This holder automatically protects the container contents in that the manipulated elements (the container in the case of the beverage container holder or the spoon in the case of the sorbet container holder) are taken up and set down without requiring the cover to be manually manipulated.
