Description

TITLE
A multifunctional fabric comprising a double-sided knitted fabric comprising a first side and a second side; wherein the first side comprises polyester yarn having copper and zinc; and wherein the second side of the multifunctional fabric comprises a striped jersey having polyester or cotton/polyester yarn.
SPECIFICATION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the textile industry, i.e. multifunctional textiles for dermal use that contribute to decrease bacteria and fungi, decrease bad smell, dermis regeneration, skin protection, mosquito repellence and photoluminescence, incorporating different properties in a single layer. In particular, the present invention relates to a polyester and cotton fabric having antibacterial, antifungal, anti-mosquito, vitamin and photo- luminescent properties, which by being intelligent can allow the skin to absorb and repel different products. STATE OF ART
Users nowadays require specific technology in clothing for answer to their particular needs, especially in work clothing, sportswear and technical clothing.
These situations often require the combined features of the currently existing technologies, but which are very difficult to manufacture due to the particular features of each spinning and construction of each fabric.
Patent application GB2524849A which is entitled "Antibacterial fiber fabric with wicking properties" disclose a type of fabric comprising copper, in which the copper has been embedded into the fiber of the fabric during a spinning process. Preferably the copper is copper powder and/or is electrolytic copper, and the fiber is selected from at least one of nylon, polyester or spandex. When copper is incorporated into the yarn during the spinning process it remains within the fabric after multiple washes, giving the fabric good antibacterial and deodorant properties.
As it is noted from the previous paragraph, the antibacterial and deodorant technology of copper fiber fabrics is already known in the state of the art. But, currently, there is no fabric in the market that incorporate two or more properties in a single layer, a fabric that can solve problems related to climate, skin and mosquito bites and working in dark places with low sun exposure, which could improve diseases and is directed to people health and risk prevention; since nowadays garment having copper and zinc content in its yarn is not only expected to be antibacterial and/or deodorant. For example, a user nowadays uses different barriers, whether physical or chemical, to obtain anti-mosquito and antibacterial protection, using a garment with antibacterial fabric and applying some ointment or cream on his/her skin to prevent mosquito bites. Using, at the same time, an antifungal lotion and a garment with antibacterial properties.
At other times, the user wear different garments for different purposes, which leads to discomfort and extra weight in the user, especially because each garment is placed on top of another.
Garments having multifunctional features have been developed in the market to solve this problem, which satisfy the anti-mosquito needs together with having an antibacterial barrier, however, said garments are very heavy and rustic in their fabric, which causes the user to avoid them, as they cause damage to the skin.
Through the present invention, it is possible to decrease the need for the use of anti-mosquito and antibacterial ointments, creams or lotions, or avoid the use of multiple layers of clothing with different functions to avoid certain problems such as insects, bacteria, or others, without losing the features of a garment made of just one fabric, such as comfort to the touch, light weight, antibacterial durability after 50 washes and breathability.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a multifunctional fabric for dermal use, which contribute to decrease bacteria and fungi, decrease bad smell, mosquito repellence, vitamin absorption and photoluminescence, incorporating different properties in a single layer. Through the elaboration of a double-sided cloth, in which on one side is polyester and the other side is cotton and polyester.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
A multifunctional fabric comprising a double-sided knitted fabric, wherein the double-sided knitted fabric comprises a first side and a second side.
The first side of the multifunctional fabric comprises polyester yarn containing between 70 and 100 ppm copper (between 0.007-0.010 %) and between 2,500 and 3,000 ppm zinc (between 0.25-0.3 %) with a yarn count of 100 Denier (DE)/144 Filaments (FI), i.e., a yarn with microfiber technology having an antibacterial effect, and also a microfiber yarn that confers softness and moisture absorption for regulation of body temperature. The second side of multifunctional fabric comprises a striped jersey fabric selected from: an anti-mosquito cotton/polyester yarn, which has properties for protection from diseases spread by mosquito bites such as dengue, malaria and zika, among others. It is a microencapsulated product, whose chemical composition is based on an anionic organic complex, wherein these active ingredients that are mosquito-repellant anionic organic complexes are housed inside microcapsules. a photo-luminescent polyester yarn, 200 DE/24 FI, having reflective and light absorption properties so in a poorly lit environment the user can be seen by other people (see Table 1) .
The double-sided knitted fabric comprises in its entirety, a total first side content of:
50% polyester fiber having copper and zinc between 0% and 25% polyester and a second side a content of: - between 25% and 50% of at least one photo-luminescent and/or anti-mosquito yarn
Specifically the knitting structure of the second side of the fabric comprises small cells that maintain the insulation through air bubbles, allowing it to be breathable and water-repellent, being bonded through bond points having a concentration comprised between 5 and 50 bond points/cm2 . This knitting structure comprising small cells with a binding concentration of between 5 and 50 bond points/cm2, can be used to incorporate microencapsulated active principles in said cells for absorption and/or skin protection, such as vitamins.
Finally, the fabric is treated with a UV finish, to reduce the effect of sunlight. Production of double-sided knitting promotes an effect similar to osmosis, in which moisture is attracted through the less absorbent layer contacting the body and carried outwards.
Such above describe fabric has features such as resistance to "pilling", anti-mosquito insect repellent, delivers comfort, is light-weighted, durable, breathable, washing resistant, antibacterial, with UV filter and improves bad smell conditions.
A preferred embodiment of the invention achieves the following specific features:
Double-sided textile weight: between 1.89 g/m2 and 1.97 g/m2
Finishing: UV and water-repellant treatment
In addition, within the results obtained, the fabric has achieved a bactericidal certification, which includes bacteriostatic activity test, which certifies 98.42% effectiveness in the reduction of Escherichia Coli ATCC 11229 after 50 washes according to EN ISO 15797 Process 8 at 40°C (ISO 20743: 2013 DIN Method) .
Regarding the photo-luminescence feature, said photo-luminescent polyester yarn, 200 DE/24 FI, achieves the following results after maintaining a sample of said yarn under a follow-up condition to intercept the light beam for 2 hours before the test and charging the light to the sample for 30 minutes with a fluorescent light lamp of 27 watts at a distance of 60 cm (approximately 1000 LUX (Illuminance), to then checking the brightness of the radiation at different times:
