Description
TITLE: HEALTHY CIGARETTE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a healthy substitute for tobacco. More particularly the present invention relates to a polyherbal composition for use as a tobacco substitute for aiding in the cessation of tobacco use.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION AND PRIOR ART:
Modern life style entails some odd behavior which is unhealthy but it can't be avoided due to pressure and work strain. It can neither be controlled nor corrected by exhaustive laws.Cigarette smoking like liquor can't be stopped, instead it needs innovative research, remodeling a product in a healthy way.
There are reports available in the literature for the existence of various tobacco substitutes. US 6497234 discloses a composition for use as a tobacco substitute and as an aid in the cessation of tobacco use, containing a Vebascumthapsus component, an algae component, a Medicago sativa component, and a Symphytumofficinale component, together with other optional components.
US 6534527 discloses compositions useful in relieving craving in nicotine habituated patients that include an herbal component. The herbal component provides multiple nicotine agonists, one of which is anabasine. The compositions are preferably in the form of chewing gum, tablets, capsules, or lozenge.
US 8047209 discloses compositions and methods for making same are presented that act as substitutes for tobacco and tobacco products. Use is made of a genus of plants called pueraria, and more specifically the kudzu species which is processed and packaged to taste and feel similar to natural tobacco. Various enhancers and flavors are added to appeal to various tastes.
Unfortunately the available tobacco substitutes does not provide the euphoric feeling. Further the available cigarettes may be expensive or leads to various undesirable side effects. Hence a novel polyherbal composition for use as a tobacco substitute for aiding in the cessation of tobacco use without the above said drawbacks is the need of the hour.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:
The main object of the present invention is to formulate a novel polyherbal composition for use
as a tobacco substitute for aiding in the cessation of tobacco use.
Another object of the present invention is to formulate a novel polyherbal composition comprising of combination of effective amounts of Senna Indica, FicusGlomerata, ZingiberOfficinale, Piper Nigrum, Piper Longum, Viola Suffruticosa, Solatium Jucuinea, Phyllanthus Niruri, Cubeba Officinalis, Santalum Album, Terminalia Chebula, MyristicaOfficianArillus, PeucedanumGraveolens, CinnamomumAromalicum And Anisochilus Carnosusfor use as a tobacco substitute for aiding in the cessation of tobacco use.
Yet another object of the present invention is to formulate a novel polyherbal composition, further comprising of atleast one of ADP, Thumatti Leaves, Erk Parti , Thippili, Kattu Zeera, Neem Leaf, Vishnugranth, Vasumbu, Nlvri, Adm, Sombu, Athipattai, Thrikadagu, Neemully, Madanakamesh, Moringi Seed, Aswgandha, Jathikai, Orilai, Thamari, Kandankathiri, Keelaneli, YanafNerunji, Nelapanamkilangu,Ellu, Kollu, Karunochi, MoogelElai, Valmilagu, MalaiVeppilaijChittramoolam Root, Ommam Vasumbu, Sandal, Parangichaka, Sambrani, AgilKattai ,Kungiliam, Kadukai , Thummati Leaf, SivanarVembu, Magilam Seed, Erukkam Leaf, Jathikkai, Japathri, SathakupaiZeergam, Magilam Seed, Adm, Lavagapattai, MaruthamPattai.
Yet another object of the present invention is to form the novel polyherbal composition in to a cigarette
Further object of the present invention is to utilize the formulated herbal cigarette for use as a tobacco substitute for aiding in the cessation of tobacco use and preventing/treating various diseases including cancer, plum/expectorant, stomach worms, aprient, aphrodisiac, diuretic, amenurrhia, Crohn disease, stimulant and the like.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention discloses a polyherbal formulation for use as a tobacco substitute for aiding in the cessation of tobacco use and also for preventing/treating various diseases. The formulation comprises of combination of effective amounts of leaves of Senna Indica, barks oificusGlomerata, seeds oTZingiber Officinale, seeds of Piper Nigrum, seeds of Piper Longum, leaves of Viola Suffruticosa, seeds of Solanum Jucuinea, leaves of Phyllanthus Niruri, seeds
ofCubeba Officinalis, barks ofSantalum Album, sheath without seeds of Terminalia Chebula, seed sheath of MyristicaOfficianArillus, seeds oiPeucedanumGraveolens, bark ofCinnamomumAromaticumand leaves of Anisochilus Carnosus.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention discloses a healthy substitute for tobacco and also for preventing/treating various diseases.
Green herbs were selected and utilized for the present study. They includesSe/ma Indica, FicusGlomerata, ZingiberOfficinale, Piper Nigrum, Piper Longum, Viola Suffruticosa, Solanum Jucuinea, Phyllanthus Niruri, Cubeba Officinalis, Sa malum Album, Terminalia Chebula, MyristicaOfficianArillus, PeucedanumGraveolens, CinnamomumAromaticum And Anisochilus Carnosus.
Above herbs should be methodically be purified according to scripts to ward off bad effects of herbs. It can be randomly grinded so that it can be used for manufacturing the product. The uniqueness of the present invention is categorized from base of the pyramid to top, to differentially targeted customers, creating different revenue model with less health hazard, abundantly available raw material and affordable cost.
Table I discloses the name of the herb, part used in the herb for the formulation and
Concentration of each herb.
Table 1 Details of the herbs in the formulation
