Abstract
The invention refers to a container for gasified liquids containing a hydrophobic membrane inside thereof which separates the liquid from the gas, and a dual opening system, which comprises: o an opening element that allows releasing the gas situated between the upper opening of the container and the membrane; and o a cutting element for breaking the membrane and releasing the liquid; which allows opening the container thus avoiding uncomfortable liquid splashing onto the user.
Description
DEVICED COMPRISING HYDROPHOBIC MATERIAL FOR SEPARATING GAS FROM A LIQUID WHEN OPENING A GASIFIED CONTAINER
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention may be included in the technical field of storage containers, in particular liquid containers.
More specifically, the object of the invention refers to a container for gasified liquids comprising a hydrophobic membrane that separates the liquid from the gas when opening the container, thus avoiding uncomfortable liquid splashing onto the user.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Usually, when containers are opened, specially cans of drinks containing gasified liquids, liquid splashing or spill is inevitable when these are abruptly moved, shaken or hit.
Patent US4634013 describes a closing system for liquid containers by means of a sealing membrane and a cutting element placed in the screw cap of the container that breaks the membrane before completing 360 degree rotation upon opening the container. This solution allows a more efficient closing system.
US2010/0108701 (A1 ) application describes a cup lid comprising a device being coupled in an introducible manner into the lid opening thus preventing the liquid from splashing out of the opening.
Therefore, considering the previous documents it is necessary to find alternatives directed to avoid spills or splashing of gasified liquids, which are annoying and unpleasant for the user, produced when opening containers with gasified liquids.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention refers to a container for gasified liquids containing a hydrophobic membrane that separates the liquid from the gas when opening the container, thus avoiding uncomfortable liquid splashing onto the user.
Therefore, an aspect of the present invention refers to a container for gasified liquids comprising: - at least a closed side wall,
- an upper opening,
- a dual opening system situated at the upper opening; and
- a hydrophobic material membrane located downwardly to the upper opening and attached to the inner area of the side wall for partial separation of gas; the container being characterized in that the dual opening system comprises:
o an opening element that allows releasing the gas situated between the upper opening of the container and the membrane; and
o a cutting element for breaking the membrane and releasing the liquid.
In a preferred embodiment, the container comprises a closed side wall. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG 1 .- Inner side view of the container.
FIG 2.- Inner front view of the container.
FIG 3.- Outer upper view of the container.
FIG 4.- Inner upper view of the container.
FIG 5.- Inner side view of the first opening of the container.
FIG 6.- Inner front view of the first opening of the container.
FIG 7.- Inner side view of the second opening when breaking the membrane.
FIG 8.- Inner front view of the second opening when breaking the membrane.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The following is a description of a preferred embodiment of the container for gasified liquids with a hydrophobic device which separates the gas from the liquid upon opening thereof, based on figures 1 to 8. The following figures are not to scale, and the dimension and/or actual shape of each component of the device may vary.
FIGs 1 and 2, represent the side and front view of the inner area of the container (3) for gasified liquids as an aluminium cylinder, being hollow, closed underneath and open at the top. It is provided with a membrane made of hydrophobic material fixed to the container wall (3a). The cover (7) of the container has a ring (4) held by a button in the middle acting as the ring axis (5) and a cutting element (2).
FIG 3 depicts the outer upper view of the container where the container cover (7) can be seen, wherein the ring (4) is held by a button in the middle acting as the ring axis (5), and it shows the gas and liquid outlet orifice (6) which is sealed until the container is opened.
FIG 4 depicts the inner upper view of the container where the hydrophobic material membrane (1 ) is shown being fixed to the container wall (3a).
FIGs 5 and 6 show the inner side and front view of the dual system for opening the container and releasing gas, where the user lifts the end of the ring (4) that rotates the ring axis (5) pushing the closure orifice (6) downwardly so as to partially open the container releasing the gas.
FIGs 7 and 8 depict the inner side and front view in step 2 of the dual opening system of the container where the container and liquid outlet membrane breaks. By lifting the end of the ring (4), the cutting element (2) being fixed in the closure orifice (6) breaks the hydrophobic membrane (1 ) allowing the liquid to pass through for the user enjoyment.
