Abstract
Description
PIECE D'HORLOGERIE OU DE BIJOUTERIE PIECE OF WATCHMAKING OR JEWELERY
Objet de l'invention Object of the invention
Arrière-plan technologique The present invention relates to a timepiece or jewelery provided with a breath analysis device, and more specifically an ethyltest. Technological background
Anyone who drives a vehicle with a blood alcohol level above a limit value that depends on each country is subject to penalties. After low alcohol consumption, it is not always easy to assess for oneself whether one is above or below this limit value. Having a breathalyser handy is a simple way to determine your blood alcohol level and a major asset in the prevention of road accidents.
Among the devices available to the public, there are breathalyzer devices integrated vehicles, mainly in the new high-end models. For example, documents US 2015/0244452, US 2007/0144812 and WO 2009/083964 disclosing breathalyzer devices embedded in vehicles may be cited. Unfortunately, the law condemns any driver sitting in the wheel of an impaired vehicle, even if it is for the sole purpose of blowing into the breathalyzer device built into his vehicle.
There are also integrated breathalyzer devices or can be connected to a mobile phone. One can quote the document FR 2 985 317 disclosing a breathalyzer device intended to connect to a smartphone via its USB port or the document US 2007/0093725 where the device is integrated in the Smartphone. Some documents mention a potential application of their devices to watches. However, breathalyzer devices disclosed are generally bulky and not very compatible with the aesthetics of a watch.
Description détaillée de l'invention Detailed description of the invention
The present invention relates to a timepiece or jewelery provided with a breath analysis device and, in particular, an ethylotest. The invention is more particularly described here for a watch but it is also applicable to a jewel such as a pendant or a bracelet.
According to the invention, the watch 1 shown schematically in Figure 1 comprises a box 2 provided with a fixed portion 3 shown with hatching and a movable portion 4, also qualified cap, pivotally mounted on the fixed part .
The fixed part 3 visible in more detail in Figures 3 and 5 forms a sealed chamber with a central portion 3a which supports the ice 5 and protects the movement 6 and with a lateral portion 3b forming a housing adapted to receive the movable part 4 when folded on the fixed part 3.
The mobile part 4 comprises the entire breath analysis device and is electrically autonomous with respect to the fixed part. It is pivotally mounted along a pivot axis 9 parallel to the axis 3h-9h of the watch case. This axis is positioned in the fixed part near the means of the fasteners of the bracelet, and more precisely at the base of the horns 24 when the watch has (Figure 1). The axis can be at 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock compared to the box with a preference for the 12 o'clock position for reasons of ease of use when the watch is worn.
This movable part 4 is placed in the folded position around the ice 5 and covers all or part of the fixed part 3 (Figure 1). The movable portion may further optionally cover all or part of the vertical portion of the fixed portion. The moving part is hollow in its center so as not to hide the ice. As for its outer circumference, it can be of different shapes (circular, curved, square, rectangular, etc.) depending on the desired design. The upper face 4a of the movable part 4, that is to say the visible face, can be decorated and, in particular, may include indexes.
The mobile part 4 comprises all the components necessary for the operation of the breath analysis device and the display of the result from the alcohol content measurement. It comprises a series of components such as means 10 for receiving the air blown by the user, one or more turbines 12, one or more sensors 14, a power storage unit 13 and a microprocessor 15, which are occulted by the upper face 4a of the movable part and are housed in the hollow side portion 3b (Figures 2 and 5). It further comprises components such as a photocell 17 and a display screen 16 disposed on the outer face 4a of the movable part (Figure 1).
The movable portion 4 thus comprises one or more tubes 10 in which circulates the air blown by the user. More specifically, the movable portion 4 comprises below the upper face 4a two tubes 10 for housing in the lateral portion 3b of the fixed portion 3 (Figures 2-3). The tubes have a diameter of between 2 and 6 mm, preferably between 3 and 5 mm and more preferably of 4 mm. These tubes 10 comprise an inlet 10a and an air outlet 10b which are free when the movable part is raised and obstructed when the movable part is folded over the fixed part. For each tube, the air inlet is positioned at 6 o'clock and the air outlet at 12 o'clock or the opposite depending on the positioning of the pivot axis. In the example illustrated in Figure 2, the pivot axis is positioned at 12 o'clock and therefore the air inlets and outlets are at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock respectively. According to a variant not shown, the movable portion may comprise a single tube extending around the ice with an inlet and an air outlet both arranged at 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock.
These tubes 10 are positioned on either side of the ice 5 and have a shape adapted to match the shape of the latter. They may for example be curved as shown in Figure 2. They extend substantially to the ends of the box at the height of the fastening means 24 for receiving the bracelet. In the folded position, the inlets 10a and 10b of the tubes 10 are positioned against the inner wall 3c of the lateral portion 3b of the fixed part with a seal 11 between the two sealing (Figures 5 and 6). This seal 11 can be fixed at the end of the tubes or at the inner wall 3c of the fixed part as in the example of Figures 5 and 6. In the raised position, the inputs 10a and 10b are released for on the one hand, allow the user to blow into the air inlets and, on the other hand, allow the evacuation of air at the outlets (Figure 5). The tubes may extend in the same plane or, according to a variant not shown, they may have at the air outlets an elbow turned towards the inside of the timepiece to facilitate the evacuation of the air below the moving part.
As shown in Figure 4, within each tube 10 is disposed a turbine 12 which measures the flow of air when the user blows into the tubes. The turbine is coupled to an electricity generator recovered in a power storage unit 13 such as a capacitor shown in FIG. 2. The turbine 12 is connected for each tube 10 to a sensor 14 visible in FIGS. The sensor can be positioned after the turbine, ie. downstream of the air flow, in the tube but it is also possible to place the sensor upstream of the turbine. As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, it can also be positioned outside the tube and connected to the turbine via a pipe made in the wall of the tube. The sensor measures the level of ethanol in the breath. It can be a semiconductor sensor such as a CCS803 sensor. The sensor 14 is itself connected to a microprocessor 15 which processes the results from the measurement and displays them on a screen 16 positioned on the outer face 4a of the movable part (FIGS. 1 and 2). The breath analysis device furthermore comprises a photoelectric cell 17 intended, via the energy storage unit, to supply the various electronic components. The photocell 17 is positioned on the outer face 4a of the movable part for example at 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock.
The fixed part 3 comprises a push button 18 for actuating the pivoting of the movable part. The actuating mechanism visible in Figure 7 comprises a lever 19 coupled to a latch formed of a rod 20 which engages in the locked position under the action of a spring 21 in a keeper 22 integral with the movable part 4 In the unlocked position shown in dotted lines in FIG. 7, the mobile part 4 is released and thus available to the user for a measurement. When the user wants to measure his blood alcohol level, it activates the push button to engage the pivoting of the moving part and the preheating of the electronics. Then the user blows into the air inlet (s) of the tube. The air first passes into the turbine which generates an instantaneous electric current in order to charge the capacitor. The current generator function of the turbine is only present in case the watch has remained too long in the dark, the energy storage unit being supposed to be permanently charged via the photocell. In addition to its current generating function, the turbine has the function of calculating and checking whether the quantity of blown air is sufficient for the measurement of the alcohol content. The air then passes into the sensor to perform the measurement. According to a variant, the air passes first into the sensor and then into the turbine. The previously programmed microprocessor calculates, checks and displays the result on the display with an error margin of maximum 10%. The user is thus informed if he is above or below the permitted limit value.
Finally, it will be pointed out that the present invention has been described for a breath analysis device comprising a sensor for measuring the alcohol content, but it does not exclude introducing in its place or in addition a sensor. measuring halitosis, detecting illicit substances, etc.
